  3. I feel some more polishing coming on..... now where did I leave that autosol?
  4. Well, been a few weeks of bargains currently waiting to get stuck on to Tubs: Got one of the (nearly) new MG rear ARBs that were knocking about a couple of weeks ago, and last night won a bargain ITR exhaust mani and down tube for a tenner. Going down to pick up the exhaust bits tonight, and need to use the ol' tap and die to clean out the fixings for the arb so I can get that on.... then its a full timing belt service at the weekend and MOT (and I think a tracking rod end). Busy time for tubs, next month need to get some attention to the bottom of a couple of doors where the paint's worn thin and sarting to feel a bit rough - need it done before the corrosion dust is put on the roads Also hoping to make my custom sub affair next month... been planning it for too long now - just need to get it done!

  6. Hi bud - don't suppose you've stumbled across those spacers on your travels?
  7. Hi bud - don't suppose you've stumbled across those spacers on your travels?
  8. mmm.. if you have spares I could well be in the market for 'em.. if they're on the market? how much did they raise it?
  9. I'm runnig the same set up and they do make the car hug the road, but they are too low at the front - nice bit of info there mate.. don't suppose you have the dims for the collars? ps are they the yellow adjustable konis? cheers
  10. hell yeah! shaved off a couple a pounds and is much more aerodynamically slippy....
  11. cheers! can't remeber about the spark plug leads... I'll check the old memory banks. Earth cables were from groundingkits.co.uk **edit** spark plug leads from here: http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/ ... =555568076
  12. cheers bud! cover off, paint stripper, work your way through a pack of 4 grades of wet and dry paper, polish with autosol (or simillar) till your finger hurts! could do with some more polishing action, but needed to get it back on (and get out of the shed.. 6 hours later)
  13. after a day in the shed sanding and polishing.... my new look rocker cover (also new earthing cables yesterday)
  14. Yeah x2! They look huge in the pics too! What wheels are they? cheers..17" dares
  15. I bet it does fella.. you can feel the back end wanting to tie itself in knotts sometimes. best mod i did was ditch the heavyweight tow bar hanging miles behind the back wheels... front wheels work better on the ground like
  16. i know what you mean mate... I was keeping an eye out for one, but it's a bit low over speed bumps and dodgy campsite tracks for the lip and skirts.. the flaps and bumper catch sometimes. now the extra boot spoiler's a different kettle of fish.. I'd take one of those bad boys.
  17. cheers guys.. must admit it's not allways that clean the wheels are by dare.... eibach springs (too low at the front....scraaaaape) and koni shocks to tame the crazy kangaroo bounce of the springs. not much done at the mo.. power flow back box to keep the noise down.. super-sprint centre section, and just a straight replacement k&n filter. she's coming round to 130k and runs just as sweet as when I got her (64k)... plan is to upgrade whenever stuff goes wrong (I'm sure I can hear that manifold starting to blow... ) just love the way that you can have a boot full of gear and blow something away still!
  18. Hi guys, This is my MC2 VTI... more to come when I get around to finishing some internal tweaks....
