  1. heh heh.. aye, it's just a bit of cardy-carpety stuff that just sits under the glove box in the passenger foot well... tbh doesn't make much difference apart from the fan's a bit quieter
  2. been scavenging again... that rover 45 at the local scrappy is coming in well handy got sick of the freaky noise the wiper motor was making, so whipped the rover one out. luckilly i cut the cables north of the connector coz once again that's the only difference. so after some splicing and soldering my wipers are groovy and won't die on me through the winter. also cleaned all of the gunk out from under the plastic tray to hopefully stop the windscreen leaking. I'm sure it's less restrictive than the old one... seems to pull much better when going from intermittent to half speed... I think it's lost a bit top end though
  3. all same fittments... not sure about the diffs in sizes... very subtle differences in looks tbh. could end up going for the heat shield.. not a bad plan
  4. haha love the way that post autosensored to say my small bottom.... that's class. or should I say cl...small bottom
  5. nope... I must have been talking out my ass I've just checked and compared to the pics of the teg one, and the ports look the same the main difference I can see is the angle that the pipes come together. I'm loving the difference in feel though... no idea why the other one ever made it anywhere near the car! for such a subtle difference in part to make such a difference is amazing.
  6. I'll take a pic of the one that came off, but I'm going off memory of what the new one was like though I did spend a lot of time with it in my lap with the autosol well impressed with the difference.... went for a good drive up toi see my mam yesterday, good mix of motorway, fast a roads and b roads... runs much smoother, loads more pull low down in the revs and you can notice the vtec and butterfly valve kick more. happy boy
  7. cheers james... I'd be intersted in sticking the old girl on a dyno actually... see what she is doing
  8. okay, just back from getting my new old integra r manifold on, and so far am quite happy. it sounds a bit more growly and burbles more than it did... has deffinatley changed the sound. as for power, well hard to say.. does feel a bit stronger, but could be all in the mind. I'm just sitting in the car waiting for the ecu to rest as described in the how to... thought I might as well will take it for a spin afterwards to check it out. ***edit*** been out for a razz, and deffinatley pulls through the revs better... been checking out my old manifold, and while it looks very simillar from the outside, the ports are oval where it meets the engine, while the teg ones were round.. also, it seems more fussy inside the way that the 4 tubes change to 2. should flow much more freely. seems to be a canny little upgrade. 1"£££$££"!!
  9. Wonder if the space saver's that much lighter than the alloy?..... At least it would mean I could tart up the honda ones and flog em on I just put my old gaitor back on (after cleaning it up) - I think that they hadn't clipped it back in properly when the multi lock had been fitted. the external diameter of the pipe at the cat is 2.5".. just less than 2" internally though. I hope that the length and everything's the same - getting it fitted at the weekend so will find out then I suppose!!!

  11. okay.. morning of scrappy based fun: new heater blower motor. while i was retrieving it from a rover 45 I took the clear side repeaters, spare (broken) resistor pack, gear gaitor, end cap for grab handle... and then went back for the bit of sound proofing for under the glove box that the rovers have but we haven't. all for 30 squidaroos turned out my gaitor was"nt goosed after all, so that'll be going on tea bay (seems a bit different to ours anyhoo... screws and clips are on opposite sides I think... would fit, but the leather might sit funny.

  17. well.. picked up the flywheel (lad just let me have it as it was just a quid ) and it's far from light! if it's much lighter than the standard one, they must be well heavy! cleaned it up a bit (no polishing.... yet...) and going to store it until it's clutch time. been looking at the f1 stage 1 from ebay usa (I think the guy rich uses?) for £70 plus shipping.. not sure though.. my honda one has lasted 135k so far... and a caravan / trailer in it's past life. tempted to go honda again.

  19. hard to tell by looking at the pics... they look like they've been taken from different sides but in the guff on that one the guy says it's off a b16... think the teg one's lighter again? don"t like the idea of that repair stuff, me mate had a c2 gt what had that.. he got a puncture and used it and it didn't work, and had to get the aa out... then was told that they couldn't repair the tyre coz the gunk knacks them.
