    It's been a while since I did mine so I'm probably wrong then and they are copper.

    Oh FFS, hate to see that.

    Not done it myself but apparently it's pretty straight forward, just two or three bolts, obviously you'll need to refill the system and bleed it after (don't forget anti-freeze). Should only be a few quid.

    If they're bright enough to pass an MOT, there's nothing they can do although that won't prevent them pulling you over and trying it on.

    Could be worth a try but I think it's usually the piston that rusts and seizes.
