There, a proper insight into why people like their particular cars. Cheers for that!
-
We ARE playing nicely Mr B! I actually like the laugh with the whole 'Ronda' thing etc. I started this thread so people can express their opinions on the two models. By giving examples of why one person likes one particular shape. It gives this community a chance for friendly banter between the two styles of owners, plus we get to see Chandlers nice car! I did say i like modded Decks earlier! I have observed that the 'Deck Squad' seem more passionate about their style of cars than maybe hatch owners are. I was wondering why this was? For example, in some COTM's there is a genuine excitement when a Deck enters COTM and there are comments on how many Decks are in for voting. Hatch owners are kind of 'meh' when it comes to that. Also Deck owners seem to encourage Hatch owners to buy a Deck but not the other way about. Is it maybe because the hatch owners know their cars are cool and don't have to 'sell them' to others? I shall leave my thoughts up for discussion if you like

But true car enthusiasts can tell the difference between a Rover and an MBmate!
-
Ok Ok so i got carried away! In my opinion the hatch is more aesthetically pleasing and if there were a hatch and deck on a forecourt, next to each other, then the hatch would win hands down!
-
I know Dave! Just bantering them all up! The majority of people add the vti-s kit to ther Decks to make them more appealing! Not everyone on here had standard kits factory fitted! So to maybe clear some things up....the standard Deck looks utter gash!
-
Much cleaner lines. Deck owners get interest when the fishermen stop to have a look!
-
Thats my point!! The deck owners have to add hatch stuff to make em look better! Thank you Dave for siding with me, albeit inadvertantly

Burbleboy's VTi-S Build **NOW SOLD 16/12/15**

Yours is an evolving beast! You WILL stop once you have reached your own personal goals! -
Aaaah you see, you have to add things on to make it aesthetically pleasing for other motorists to tolerate you all! Hatch is pretty, straight from factory, esp the VTi-S!
-
"my eyes my eyes" Looks like three fat birds arses!!!
-
Sorry mate, that example picture is from the FRONT of the cars, which means they look the same as a hatch, until your eyes water as you look along the side to the rear!
-
Haha! There does seem to be an awful lot of deck owners on here!!
-
I thought i would just start a wee thread to take our banter away from Simpo's thread as he is trying to sell his car and it is being hijacked! After a few of my comments regarding Decks, i would just like to say that i don't hate them, just think they have been designed by a primary skool kid! To the point, hatches are lighter, look better and are generally better!!!!!

Burbleboy's VTi-S Build **NOW SOLD 16/12/15**
burbleboy replied to burbleboy's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
I know mate, my previous cars went too far in terms of modding so i vowed to just get this car to how i want it and then stop! I could honestly spend much much more on engine, spoiler and cosmetic mods but have to see sense! -

Well I think that is me done messing about with modding my MB6. I have recently had the arches rolled and suspension setup with a healthy -1 camber on front and -1 on rear. Doesn't handle quite as sharp as the previous track setup but my tyres will now last longer! I have taken the car as far as i think is justifyable in terms of age and what i use the car for. I'm happy with the power and handling so no need to spend big on cams, intake etc. The car is now built for track days and hooning, whilst it's also my daily drive. I will continue to maintain the car to a high standard and spend to keep it on the road for a further couple of years! It's honestly been a great buy and still love driving it after over 2.5 years. Long may that continue.....if i don't get any more Asbo's! So this build thread will now be less interesting! -

Think i will withhold my M this month!! I have rolled my arches (x1 front arch has slight mistake) but happy and now car has had a full suspension setup, the tyre wear will be to a minimum and handling wont be as sharp but i can live with that. Keeping my car for a couple more years then sell all the parts and sell it more or less standard. I have come to the end of the modifying road with her! -
When you come back from yank land and having emptied your testicles in some random yank hoe, you will be all refreshed and keen to get that long list sorted. Then you will have a trouble free and fun car to cherish forever!
