  1. Don't need a van to move house!
  2. Yeah doesn't cost anything to try it mate! Just have to jack the front up, get under and unplug it, make sure you can get both hands to it!
  3. I've done about 100 miles on the new brakes and I am happy to report they feel much better than a few days ago! Still going to bleed them again just to be on the safe side though! Also I've bought a pair of handbrake cables as one side doesn't work at all and the other isn't very strong and with the MOT looming in July I want it to be right, plus I don't like leaving the car in gear! I had noticed these last few days that the car has been jerky, hesitant when cold under part throttle, not quite a misfire but like a lack of fuel. So had a look online and found out that it could be the lambda/O2 sensor and that to find out you simply unplug it and drive the car from cold. So I have just done exactly that and it feels so much better, smooth and no kangaroo impersonations! So I guess I need a new sensor! If you do try this you will get the engine light come up but should disappear once plugged back in.
  4. Not sure if it's the same on the turbo Diesel engines but on the other petrol/gas powered engines I've found the oil sump bolts work themselves lose over time so need tightening up every now and then! Also rocker cover gaskets are common to leak as well, you probably already know about those but just making sure!
  5. Just thought I'd bump this as I feel the post is relevant. Been using my car for the last couple of days, first time in weeks I've been able to drive it and I felt that on a cold start it would feel sluggish and hesitant, similar to symptoms described in here! Did a bit of research online which I got some possible causes from other Honda forums, mostly people who have B18C4 conversions into other Civic's and somebody said to unplug the lambda/O2 sensor and drive the car from cold, which is what I have just done! Felt so much better! Smooth as you like, EML came on but was expecting that but much better throttle response low down and much better to drive while she warms up ready for some VTEC action! So based on that I believe a new sensor should cure my problem. Hope this helps a few of you who are also suffering the same!
  6. Good stuff Matt! If you're worried you could practise on a scrap bumper?
  7. Bang bus fully loaded!
  8. If you do a symmetrical cut out on the other side of the bumper it should look alright!
  9. Massive list, most of it TLC bits but the mods have come along nicely! You're lists are impressive too mate!
  10. Nice, back home and straight on the mods, like it! Glad you had a good time away!
  11. You were moaning about the fuel for them earlier
  12. You've shocked a few of us!
  13. I like it mate, stickers I can take them or leave them though.
  14. That's cheap enough mate and if you can wait then go for it. Where did you get the master cylinder from?
  15. Ah right, might have to look into that myself if the pedal feel doesn't improve to a point I'm happy with!
  16. Congrats on the fresh ticket! Stat is easy enough to change yourself, only three bolts mate! Bleeding the coolant after is the part that takes longest! What prompted you change the master cylinder?

    Turbo kit

Yeah you don't want so much power that you're fighting it for grip on the turns etc! Otherwise it just becomes a muscle car so to speak!

    Turbo kit

Oh yes! I had thought about cams and valve springs too but they probably wouldn't be necessary for going down the boost route, they shout more N/A to me.

I bet anyone who owns or has driven a boosted Honda feels the OEM set up is somewhat lacking

Sweet, sounds quite suited to VTEC engines then! It's like it was meant to be!
