  2. To be honest i would go with a c4 map with IAB's removed. thats what i was running previously and i could tell the difference quite a fair bit. i have not had any experience personally with a p72 so could not comment on that. hope that is of help Thanks
  3. Thanks Dave alloys are 4 x 100 it was a one of bargain at £40 for the 4 alloys. More updates to come soon
  4. Thanks for comments. It wasent to hard to be honest used the switch and plug from a vti breaker connected 3 wires and job done When it comes to cars I always find time lol Cant go any lower as the car is purely a run around for the garage and at times will have load in it.
  5. Got a few more bits done Got the speedline alloys needed a good refurb Sanded and prep for paint Rocker cover was looking a little tired Fitted some fog lights Alloys fitted Suspension changed Comments welcome
  6. The only other test with head on would be a leak down test. Pictures look ok to be honest.
  7. Yep a p28 with an aggressive c4 map which I was using for the old engine, so once I get the p73 basemap I can test it out a little more vigorously.
  8. The p73 is obd2a and the mb/mc is obd1. I can only find the conversion harness in the states, but then I would still need to disable a few things, so a custom basemap for now is the way forward.
  9. Have not really tested it yet but it feels a lot stronger at vtec changeover. Just waiting for a p73 basemap.
  10. Took some more pictures as i got some time to wash it and the weather was good so also had the car fully resprayed a couple of weeks ago and have had the trims colour coded and the bumper air intake flushed in
  11. The t25 turbo does die off around 7k but we can go to 8k so the extra 1k is sort of wasted and stressing the turbo. To do the conversion your self you could probably custom make a kit for around the 1k but nothing ever stops where you want it to and it all just adds up lol. its just a matter of getting good bargains. You will save heaps on labour if done yourself.
  12. Managed to get everything done the other day and have not really had time to upload any pics. First rays of sunlight after two weeks will hopefully upload some more photos inc exterior. Thanks
  13. have you trird a wet compression test? You have oil rings aswell as compression rings , a leak down test can point you in the right direction. If you look right up in to the bore are the valves oily?
  14. If your spark plug ceramics(white bit) are dry then the spark plug gaskets on the rocker are not the problem.
  15. no probs mate, hope you get it sorted.
  16. I would check valves like I said before taking the head off. You can check them on the intake side too but obviously more work is involved stripping it down.
  17. Ok one thing you can check is remove your exhaust manifold look at your valves through the ports, if they are oily then the stem seals are not sealing im afraid.A cylinder leak down test will reveal more too
