  1. Iv now fitted the 1" master cylinder from the mb6. Iv also fitted the refurbed rear trailing arms and front hubs. Wish I had more space to keep all the wee bits and pieces but unfortunately I don't.
  2. Yeah just fancy the exhaust a wee bit louder. Il refit the decat and remove centre silencer as I has some 2.5" stainless pipe looked aside at work
  3. Yeah loving the low deck Not sure how low it is tbh. I can drive straight over the speed bumps at my house and it's just the plastic under tray on the bumper that scrapes and the centre silencer slightly. Think in goin to remove the silencer when I get back to work as my back box is pretty big anyway. The tyres do run on full lock but it looks cool so il deal with it lol
  4. Nice! I really want roof bars for mine, very practical lol sounds like a bargain!
  5. I fitted energy suspension shifter polybushes along with a buddyclub dual bend short shifter to my ek4, what a difference! Something I really want to do to my deck as it feels a bit sloppy. Also read that the knuckle joint on the end I the linkage can become worn and folk strip them and replace the washers and can make a big difference if worn.
  6. Cheers folks! Some snaps whilst collecting materials from the local garden centre...
  7. Looking good Dougie! Was it just the lca bushes you've changed for the poly ones?
  8. Yeah I know they will be heavier than the alloys but I'm not trying to build a car for speed. Plus I really just fancy the challenge of building my own.
  9. I plan on having a go at doing them myself I have all the equipment at work, just need wheels lol
  10. What I ideally want to do is source some 4x114 steel wheels and il banded them and paint them white probably go 8" up front and 8.5s on the back.
  11. Yeah th next port of call will defo be getting the hesitation sorted. Iv just finished fitting some coilovers that I bought from snakes off here. Not driven it yet but it's certainly sitting better I gave the wings a bounce test and they seem just as stiff as the mgzs setup I had.
  12. Cheers mate! Car passed its mot today with no advisories not bad for a cheap motor. Should have some coilovers coming soon to bring her closer to the ground! I do have an annoying running problem its like the car holds back when underload under 3k. I thought it might be the fuel filter but if since changed that and its still the same. Anyone had a similar issue? Iv changed the plugs but should really do the leads and dizzy cap. Would also like to check and adjust the tappets.

    New arrival

Hey guys, would like to announce the arrival of our daughter! Born this morning at 0853, weighing 8lb 3oz and 56cm long. Mother and baby doing well over the moon right now!
  15. The complete hub setup iv fitted was removed from my old mb6. A lot of people buy and break mb's as the hubs, brakes and engine all fit into smaller Hondas
  16. The b18 is currently sitting in the garden under my motorbike cover lol I'm hoping to get the time to get it into work for a strip down and rebuild the bottom end. The head has all been done so just rings and shells hopefully. Iv always hated bleeding brakes! Never seem to work first time.
  17. Cheers tam! Makes it worth while when people appreciate the work gone into it.
  18. Cheers man! I have the fan blades and another set of 16s. Ideally want to source another 3 4x113 steel wheels and have ago at making my own banded steels
  19. I did read that you had a lot of trouble with your brakes! The pedal is softish and when pumped gets harder, was yours like that? I just used a one man bleed kit and couldn't actually watch to see the bubbles so will need to get a mate over and hbe another go.
  20. Honestly I was ready to give up lol only had short drive as I had to pick my missus up from hospital. Maybe get a wee run in it tomorrow to see how the brakes fair.
  21. Not updated this in a while so thought id make a start... Quick list of what iv done: De-badged and de-wipered the rear Removed tow bar Fitted vti front lip Had back box extended at CAS in shotts Completed full hub swap MB6 master cylinder installed All discs were skimmed All calipers thoroughly cleaned and painted New front lower ball joints installed New oem honda rear trailing arm bushes installed New SPC rear camber arms installed My mot is this month so just been beasting into the jobs trying to get it ready. Still on the lookout for a replacement door and handle to replace the rusted one. We are expecting another child in the next couple of weeks so its all go lol Had been putting off the hub swap for a while as i was anticipating problems with seized bolts etc and i wasn't wrong lol I dont think anything else could have went wrong with the rear hubs both rear lca bolts had to be cut either side and then the remaining bolt drilled out of the lca. Then on the last bolt for the rta bush the nut started spinning (nut is hidden within the chassis) was ready to scrap the car at this point lol busted out the grinder again and chopped the chassis to reveal the nut. I then used the missus car to drive to work and borrow a portable mig welder. Lay under the car in the wet with my torch and welded a new nut on and the welded the section back in. I then gave it a quick rub down, not too much though as i needed to leave the strength of the weld. Quick coat of zinc primer then some black and it was as good as new. So today was my first drive since finishing the swap. Brakes still feel a bit spongy so im going to have the bleed them again to get any trapped air out. But its looking a lot better.
  22. Had a good scottish meet a few months back, met in dalkeith and travelled to Jedburgh. Then I burn a valve on the way home
  23. Still just got the aerodeck, nearly completed the hub swap on it. Think iv seen your missus car some mornings on seafield road @powerofdreams
