    195 45 15 tyres

Was that the ns2's tom? Reading mixed reviews on them. Some folk say they're great and others say they're the worst tyres ever lol seems the same with most i suppose. I did like the t1rs before.

    195 45 15 tyres

Hi guys. What tyres in the above size would people recommend? Iv been looking at the nankangs ns2 and the toyo t1rs. Iv had toyos before and they were pretty good. The nankangs are cheaper which is a bit of a plus for me as we have a wedding next month etc if anyone has any input on the subject or links to good deals it would be much appreciated! Cheers!
  3. Lol need to buy more paint today to finish the last wheel. Then see about tyres
  4. Cheers folks! I always like to try do things myself
  5. Cheers man! Went ok thanks, rear was too low like you had warned. Some o the arches had minor surface rust in the lip anyway so when rolling the paint cracked, but looks ok from the outside. End of the day it's a cheap car and it ain't going to be a show stopper lol I will be sure to return the tool ASAP @burbleboy, might be working out that way again this Saturday but will keep you posted! Here's pics of the two completed wheels.... I'm actually really happy with the finish that iv achieved although the pics aren't the greatest.
  6. Sure am! Just finished glossing and a clear coat on two of the wheels, will nip out in a bit for a final clear coat
  7. Yeah I have rear camber arms fitted. Yup should have went 9" lol will see how it sits once tyres are on. Managed to roll all the arches, two wheels are ready for gloss and the other two need wet sanded. Getting there tho.
  8. Sits nice mate! Managed to roll both rear arches tonight, out in the rain test fitted one of the rear steels...
  9. Thanks for the positive feedback folks! Needed to prove to myself I could do it kinda wish I'd went for 9" on the rear. Might see if the 8.5s will fit on the front and source another two wheels and make some 9" wide. These are the prototype tho lol Il be fitting 195 45's so will have a wee bit stretch.
  10. Yeah white mate Haha it's pretty chilly here ATM. My neighbour has a heat gun that he's going to lend me so it's all good! Recieved some tips from Ali when picking up the arch roller.
  11. Lol need to buy more paint and more importantly tyres hoping to har a go at rolling the arches this weekend.
  12. Me too! I'm impatient lol Wheels now in primer...
  13. Tig welding is something I like to practice more. Had a few shots and I'm struggling to get fillet welds down. Stick and mig welding is more what I'm use to. If I make another set I'd maybe be tempted to stick weld them as I feel I'd have more control, gotta move pretty fast with the mig.
  14. Also a big thanks to @burbleboy for letting me borrow his arch roller just picked it up this afternoon.
  15. Thanks for the feedback guys! These are now 15x8 et35 and 15x8.5 et22.5 will be fitting 195 45 15s
  16. What a transformation mate! Keep up the good work.
  17. That's all them welded now just need to dress them up abit and get them tested.
  18. Hope so wanting them white, think it should look good.
  19. I first of all tacked the new band to the old outer lip. Once tacked I refitted it to the wheel using some existing marks if made previously. I then loaded the wheel into the lathe to make sure it's running true (from standard the wheels have a run off, they're not made to a tight tolerance) when I'm happy with it I put some good tacks on the band to the wheel. When I fully welded them I stagard the welds to try help it from pulling etc. I'm happy how the first two have come out so far. Got a friend who is going to fit tyres and check for leaks before I paint them
  20. It's a pretty heavy duty mig welder mate!
