  2. I noticed this advert recently. It is not my car and I have absolutely no connection with the seller. It apparently needs a new exhaust system as the cat was stolen and they cut through the pipes. It also has an expired MOT. In my opinion that would be worth having and repairing for £350.   3. Hey lads, Have previously put a build thread on civiclife forum but thought I'd wack one up here too for different opinions etc. Currently I have re-sprayed the grill and re-badged boot... Ive cleaned up bay, powder coated rocker cover and fitted short ram induction kit (soon to be cold air induction kit)... Removed headlight washer jets... New head unit, fusion sub and fli door speakers... Next I plan to fill jet holes in front bumper and re-spray it, along with skirts and rear bumper as they have a few dings etc. Purchased the relevant stuff for this from halfords, had a question though... If i get paint colour using cars ext. paint code... Once lacquered will it have the desired effect or will it look out of place.... The silver has a metallic shine to it but not sure if my sprayed bumpers will come out the same as not done this before? Any tips welcome please!! Here's a couple pics anyway...
  4. Hi all, I'm planning to do a mini-me on my 1.5 Vtec-e I've read a lot about it but two things I'm not sure of, will it run (good) with a P30 ECU from a Civic del sol, or do I need the P28 ECU? And a adjustable cam gear is not necessary because I'm not changing cam only but the complete head? I'm able to buy a complete D16Z6 engine, costs are low because of oil consumption, engine has run 130 Miles. Regards, Patrick

  7. A 1.6 VTEC Aerodeck that is suitable for my purposes as it meets the London emissions rules has come up for sale. Unfortunately It is almost 150 miles away with no MOT. That makes going to look at it a problem with lockdown and the risk of being fined. Whenever these cars come up for sale they are never anywhere near London. The mileage is 139,000. Seller claims the manual gearbox is noisy. Asking price is £300. It failed an MOT earlier this month on the list of problems below. Looking through its history it has never failed on any structural rust which is a good sign. These defects seem like they could be sorted fairly easily. Does this seem like it could be a worthwhile project?   9. Engine is coming back out got loads of new bits to fit that will make this car 1000x better. Come along way from the little 1.4 mb2 I bought for £200 18 months ago. please share the love H22A U2q7 LSD gearbox (ATR) original H22 timing covers. full through custom exhaust (once engine is back in) full poly bush engine and gearbox mount kit for H22 Evo 5 4pot Brembos aluminium 3 core racing rad fresh painted rocker cover (wrinkle red) and gasket recaro trendlines (ATR) aluminum sump and gasket going to be my project over Christmas to get all of these fitted. any info on gearlinkage would be helpful!   10. Another suggested ebay listed car that is not suitable for the London low emissions zone. Not my car, and I have no connection with the seller. Silver 1998 1.5 VTEC MB. Has a few scrapes on the bodywork but the interior looks tidy. Low mileage at 68,000. Worth a look I think for anyone still looking for a VTi Deck...........getting really rare the VTiS especially in aerodeck form! I'm looking at swapping out my 1.4 for potentially a F20B6 motor, I'm new to this and was wondering how possible this is and where I could get engine mounts from and would my trans bolt to it or would I need to swap a different one into it? Really need help as I have a motor planned and money ready I just need to make sure this isn't a mistake Thanks

  14. I want to introduce my lovely Pirat Black MB2. I bought it from the scrap yard for 300€. No working brakes,no working suspention,nothing...except the engine...the engine was like a new one.1,4 90hp 90k km. I startet with the brakes and the bushings. All new ones. So...The brakes was the first thing. New discs with new pads and two new calipers. The suspention was on second place. New bushings kit from Energy Suspention for the whole suspention. Koni shocks. I drived 70 000 km for two years. After that i take a desision that i have to change something with the engine. I read a lot of things about the minime set up(D14 block with Vtec head) But one sunny day a friend of mine send me a photo from a Del Sol(show off car) with only 70k on the clock. The engine-D16z6,the price 800€.Only the engine,the doors and the plastics of the car were not rotten.I boight the whole car for 800€ So i deside to put the engine in my car. Someone told me that is plug and play. Aaaaaaand it was not. I rewire the whole cables from the engine to the ECU. That was such a fun. But at the end it all went good. After that i thought that i could make some changes in the interior of the car. I put beige seats from Rover,black roof from alcantara(self made with my wife),arm rest from VTI I want to apollogise for my bad english. Be save and kick the vtec till the end
  15. hellooooo this is my white diamond <3 mb1 sr vtec of course (looove this models), d16y2, 1996, when i bought her, she was all stock, 209000 km, nothing to do, MOT passed successfuly, just the absober shock and tyres to do ! it's funny because my white was made on 27-03-1996 and my second mb1 on 27.03.1997 ^^ i was 18 years old when i get it, and didn't have my license driving, so my boyfriend drive it for one year, and i was a passager! too hard it's my fisrt car and i could'nt dream better ! a lot of work have been made on my car to keep her in good healty (her last owner was a real fan too so it took care of her ! i get it in very good conditions) this is some pics when i bought it^^ now she's got 238000 km, i drive her just on week end, cars meet or when i see friends. she 'got 140 hp with litle modofications engine : - air intake (us racing ) will change it for a AEM v2 - fuel pressor regulator - clutch and flywheel exedy - spark plug+ wire - oil 10w40 motul 300v -fuel filter oil drain every 7000-10000 km - no clim exhaust : -catback MONGOOSE (the best sound!!) coming soon exhaust manifold chassis: -D2 absorber shock (very good absorber!!) -front bar -brakes : - front and rear Brembo MAX disc - front : ebc green (will change too) -rear : ebc red body : -new headlight -rear light from phase 2 - front and rear bumper painted -lateral skurt painted in white - ans new spoiler from MG ZS coming very soon... - gearbox : final drive 4.9 and new 1-2 3-4 sync and new wheels and tyre 16" she is my soul, she is my heart...i can't imagine my life without her this is pics with her new spoiler ^^ hope you like and sorry for my english, i hope you understand what i write XD

SOLD & collected Many thanks, just a shame she'll be broken down for parts For sale my trusty old Civic 1.8VTI VTEC MB6 - 1k no offers for sale for 1 week only as I have a firm offer of £550 & I can keep my full stainless exhaust & the stereo Below are mulitple photos & a full honest list of the good & the bad points - any inspection is welcome I am located in Mynytho Pwllheli North Wales on the Lleyn peninsular Honda Civic Aerodeck 1.8VTI VTEC THE GOOD POINTS - MB6 Engin with limited slip diff 169BHP It's in Dakota Bronze & I think the only 1.8 Areodeck in that colour in the UK Engine & box good, pulls like a train through all gears & tops out at 140 Starts 1st time every time & has never let me down once in the 7 years I have owned it Both rear arches & both sills re-built 6 months ago to a high standard Half leather interior. Cam belt done at 155000 – currently at 172000 New alternator belt just fitted & alternator replaced Oil & filter changed every 4k & has always been run with liquid moly oil Both front light lenses just buffed out 6 months ago Spare has full tread Secondary earth strap fitted All 4 tyres have decent tread New rear discs & pads fitted last year Everything works as it should including all electrics & windows No peeling on any of the door cards Good quality rear shocks Ignition barrel replaced & has 2 new coded keys cut Paperwork all in order & V5 present MOT'd till August Sony stereo fitted Full stainless exhaust system custom built & new cat fitted end of 2018 New HT leads fitted last year Heavy duty tow-bar fitted with single socket electrics Front driver side wing has been recently resprayed professionally Has been de-badged Has almost a full tank of petrol THE BAD POINTS - Has the usual leak to spare wheel well Needs welding done to rear trailing arm points on both sides & a spot doing at the front just behind the wheels the front is minor & an easy fix, the rear will need the trailing arms stripping off for access to do the work. Needs new front discs & pads Air con not working & radiator removed. Sounds deep and sporty Accord gear knob like vtis one but without the writing on it Cheap induction kit Last serviced 27/06/19 Rear trailing arm bushes done Both driveshafts replaced with brand new ones from j&r 4 wheel alignment done recently Pulls well no smoke in or out of vtec BAD Points: There is oil leak in engine bay. I have been told it's probably the cam cap seal leaking. I have got another one that will come with the car along with a rocker cover seal Abs light keeps coming on and off Sometimes it's hard to change gear specially if you rev it high but on other occasions smooth gear change. I looked into it and found out it could be slave cylinder needs replacing. I have got new one which will come with the car. Sometimes I feel the car takes longer to warm up in winter then it should but I never had any issues with fluctuating temperature though. I still got a thermostat from japserviceparts that will also come with the car Body work is good. No rust on arches but it has quite a few scratches that bother me so machine polish is required. No dents. Some lacquer peel on the front bumper There is a leak on the driver's side top pillar Driver's side window goes up and down properly but when it reaches the top it keeps trying to go up.
