burbleboy
Comparing M's: My other pal drove both Ruby and my civic that day as John (ruby owner) said for him to compare them. The drive: Ruby was first. We had to keep telling him to drop a gear and rev it past 7000rpm! He loved it as it was first time driving vtec! It handled the bumps well and really is a great car to drive. Mine was next, he could not believe they were the same car on the same suspension! He was advised to avoid drain covers near the kerbs and watch for potholes! My car is built for my needs as track car and fun toy as well as a daily. He loved thrashing it and having the noise and rawness of it all with the low seats and go kart steering wheel. He giggled most of the journey and it brought out the inner child in him as he was holding revs at 6000rpm but not in Ruby! Verdict: He said that he could not drive mine as a daily but he could drive Ruby daily no problem. He now understands why i love driving my car on the camping roadtrips that we all have. THE END

THE ENDA great comparison and demo of how differently the same suspension components can be set up to achieve tailored results! Plus I know yours has go faster goodies too Al, again, different characteristics in similar base cars, big difference!

burbleboy
My front adjustable Skunk 2 camber kit ball joints are both fecked Took my car to get it's tracking done and the guy looked into why it was pulling to the left in the first place, found both upper ball joints have play. Bought parts in January 2014 so should have some warranty on them seeing there under a year. Just hassle fitting them...AGAIN! Probably knackered due to suspension being quite hard and low....but then I thought they were designed for that stuff? Oh well
marv
That's not good mate! You'd expect more from a manufacturer like skunk 2! And want them to last longer than they have!!
dr_broon
That sucks! Even worse than my m factory lower ball joints.. At least they saw the warranty period out (wish they hadn't on some ways though). Is it the skunk 2 ones where you can get an upgraded upper joint? Yeah, they have taken a pounding but should be designed for that. You have mentioned an upgraded upper joint? That would explain the standard one being pish then if you can buy upgraded ones!!! It's the hassle of buying another pair and then getting them fitted...especially at xmas time. Just my luck
burbleboy
Having just looked at the company that I bought them from, they do a skunk 2 'pro-series' one. The upper ball joint looks the same but the rest is different, would be the same result I think even fitting the pro-series ones. May be wrong though.
