Hoping to have the Meister's fitted this coming Saturday along with the long awaited front droplinks! Box nearly has me killed most evenings as it's taking up a lot of the limited space in my room so keep nearly tripping over the thing

I may need to use that rust protection stuff before they get fitted!

The non-turbo Imprezas are not really quick but still heavy on the fuel, don't do it.

I knew a lad that had done the same, blue with gold wheels, all the STi kit etc etc and even bragging about how "quick" it was, his face was a picture getting done by a little 1600 Civic!

John banks honda, trader on here do a good deal on cambelt kits, you might want to try a blueprint water pump though if you're changing that, it's non serviceable and oem honda is very expensive. Your mechanic should be able to source all the parts though if needs be. Plugs should be changed every two years and I'd recommend sticking with standard ngks.

^^^ like said, if you don't know when the cambelt was changed last/this is its first one, get it done for peace of mind. Water pump and pulley tensioner changed at the same time. Is this a job you plan for yourself?,,,its very daunting the first time you do one. I would change the gearbox oil as well at this point, probably wont make any difference to the vibration, thats normal.

Search spire clips on ebay you can get assortments for like tenner. Sure be useful things to have around. Then you can select what size

I shall carry spares Whilst at my mates auto factors today getting a battery for Project MB6 i ordered a couple of needed parts that will be there tomorrow They are parts that need replacing nothing exciting to see but very much needed, thats all im saying Except one clue that will prob give it away but here goes "They are brand new not reconditioned"

I would shop around for prices or ask your mechanic where to go, they get trade price but some things need to be ordered in. Plugs dont make that big of difference, the right ones need to be bought though, these have different temperature ratings and have difference size spark gaps. Some makes are better quality (consistent gaps) than others, i stick to denso's or NGK's, i really dislike bosch just because they made "super 4's" which are Kack!

Just answered the ecu question on Facebook. P9k is the standard ecu for others info. The MB has an obd2 ecu but has obd1 plugs so p28 is a straight fit afaik, p72 from us teg gsr needs the plug shaving and a little soldering work to fit and run. Hondata does seem to be the way to go.

haha yeah i know what you mean but after i took the pic i went back out and scrubbed the tyres clean and then covered them in tyre shine, the wheels were a bargain of my mate who does all my respraying he has had them sat in his unit for about 3months and said i could have them for £80 as the tyres are brand new done literally 50miles if that so went and picked them up and he said i could have the wheels aswell just to get out of his way so asked him what they came off and he said hyundai coupe. Instantly jumped on google to find out wheel fitment was.............4x114 happy days new wheels and tyres for £80 cant go wrong, they will need a refurb eventually but for time being they are fine

Also going back a wee bit, looked at the service manual regarding front indicators, the bulbs are access from the inner wing so will look at the wiring for the USDM mod when the rain stops!

That's exactly what I wanted mate and exactly what I have done and the sound is spot on as well not too loud but deep sporty sound and when you put your foot down then you can hear it properly

So this morning I had to get my parcel for the local dpd place. As I pull up I see this celica vvti all boyed up wheels lowered angled exhaust etc etc. as I'm waiting for my parcel the guy comes out and starts warming it up, at this point I knew what was about to happen! So as I go to pull off he quickly pulls off in front of me, as we come out of the trading estate what's there oh yes a 2 lane private (off course ) carridge way. Suddenly as I thought he nails it you can here him ragging the s h I t out of it so I did the right thing and chased him. By the time I hit vtec In second gear I was pretty much kissing that vvti badge, if it wasn't for other racers in the in side lane I would of left hime for dust. Bless him his bad boy vvti hair dressers car just got owned by a 5 door family rover look a like

I think what I want is manifold and catback, but leave the cat in. I don't want to have to worry about swapping things around for an MOT etc. Also, I don't want to make it excessively noisy. I just want more umph without too much boy racer brrrp! (I'm too old for that!) I'm not sure that's even possible?
