  4. Ahh mate you did have a slightly rocky start with yours but fair play you transformed it rapidly. You should be proud and enjoy it now. Looks stunning on new meisters! ! Just don't sell this one and buy a Fiat or something equally s**t.

  7. Not been on here much last week or so been busy. But for a change I've not been tinkering just actually using the car. Which is nice. For example here she is at the park pretending to be a very sensible compact family hatchback.. These two love rollin in daddys blue car.

  13. Thanks I filled it with Super last night for the first time, reset the ECU and took it out for a bit of spin. It's perfect. Through the residential areas it's pretty silent. Over 4,500rpm there's def a more pronounced growl, but over 6,000 that's where it really comes alive. Def money well spent.

  14. Nice to just be able to use it! I had that moment of clarity yesterday realising all the hard work and threats to burn it but not going through with it have paid off!

  15. I went to Honda first expecting a 350 quote, but that was the first price they gave me so well happy. On another note 560miles driven today. From town driving to high speed motorway and everything between, and also 12% incline and decline that was tackled ad well. And not a murmer from her, just one issue, some of the osf inner wing liner is still in Scotland....

  17. Haha cheers guys! Old girl cleans up ok. Yes the burning oil saga has come to light now lol the head will be removed and I'm going to talk to the guys at work about a slight skim, new stem seals, replace the worn valve/s/guides, pressure test and chemical clean. I'll have to then replace the head gasket, timing belt and water pump, head bolts, oil and filter etc. whilst the heads off ill service the pcv valve and give everything a good clean/de grease. I'll also get the opertunity to fit the new alternator belt iv had sitting in the boot for months lol don't think il be wanting to sell it after all this work, she'll hopefully be a keeper.

  18. Ur car reminds me of that song by Eiffel 65. I have a blue house with a blue window. Blue is the colour of all that I wear. Blue are the streets and all the trees are too. I have a girlfriend and she is so blue. Blue are the people here that walk around, Blue like my corvette, it's standing outside. Blue are the words I say and what I think. Blue are the feelings that live inside me. I'm blue da ba dee da ba die...

  23. Found out today after taking the wheels off to lift that it was only the outer egde of them! So just the width of the rubber causing the rubbing! Lifted it 10mm today anyway, still looks awesome I think! So the pictures of how it went on Saturday and then some of the "raised" height if you can call it that and a whoring shot or three! The story goes that out of the box, they are set to their lowest! 100mm drop I think! Couldn't even get the car off the ramp! So lifted it by 30 or 40mm straight away to get us going! Now lifted it another 10mm because of the scrubbing until I get the correct size tires sorted! Think one of my front brakes are binding, could hear something rubbing on the short drive after raising the car! Sound changed with braking too.

  30. Wow what a BEAST! Beautiful looking motor and I love the colour! Even my Dad's jaw dropped I'm no expert on these cars but my oleman is. He had loads of Capri's, Cortina's, Escorts and Granada's

  31. Yeah I agree the five door is not as good looking or I would have one what with the sproglets (lovely very well behaved and not a pain in the slightest kids) that is.

  33. Just been reading through your whole thread! Nice VTi-S mate and she sounds nice on idle on that video above. The subwoofer was shacking my room a bit Sounds a bit like my MB3 but only a bit more raspy. But goes very quiet when driving around town

  34. For a knock yes. Assuming you have the ball jointed drop links. They wear out and the ball joints knock. Amazing how noisy they can be. If you've fitted an mg arb then the drop links are different.

  41. When I got home I finally got the manual out and tried to get the stereo lighting to match the rest of the car using the custom RGB numbers. Pretty happy how it turned out

  42. I'm just back from collecting the car. The car was advertised with Integra cams, but it would seem the engine was opened before I got it.......I'll let you come to your own conclusions but all the defending of the previous owner that I'd made in one of my previous posts should just be ignored. Lets face it - He's a ballbag! On the plus side I've now been able to see what the car is capable of. It's actually pretty rapid, and I was finally able to hear a more pronounced VTEC changeover and the note change from the butterfly opening, so all is good with the world. Just a shame it's near freezing outside as I didn't really want to properly push it Here's hoping there are no more nasty surprises.......
