  2. Look what I collected today. Aaaand it's already in the car. Set the display colour to a similar orange to the gauges. Should look amazing at night. And yes that's a USBeetle. And a short video. How can a headunit alone produce this much bass?!

  3. Not entirely sure if its an official or private reg as I was quite surprised about it too! Will study the paper work and let you know! But the car has 12 months MOT and four brand new uniroyal tires! Bodywork is by no means mint but the interior is really very good!

  10. Gave the MB3 the MB6's old headunit. Nothing fancy but it's better than the cassette player that didn't even match the interior lighting.

  11. Thanks! The MB6 has component speakers with tweeters, whereas the MB3 has normal speakers. I think the rears are the same so if anything I'd just be swapping fronts and then trying to source some tweeter grills to put the tweeters in. I'll probably buy a larger capacity USB for the car at some point. For now I just love the novelty of a USBeetle.

  12. If we're comparing size. I got a 120gb 2.5" hdd in the glove box. 90 something gb of music on it. Head unit can become confused at times and everything you try and play it decides your having a hip hop nostalgia moment and plays Dr dre.

  17. Reduced a lot. There is a still a tinny rasp. But think with the set up that's normal. Or could well be where the decat collar is pressing against the mani collar. But like I said, that's a job for another day with someone that can TIG weld! I know someone, so will get it done at some point

  24. I'm still sitcking with my positive opinion of the Toyo's .. Same symptons as you describe with the Hankooks Krzys, not great in the wet, although better than I had read, and amazing in the dry .. Little noisey, but the budgets that are on the dc2 wheels are worse!

  27. Good stuff then! Mine seems to handle really sweet at the minute, can imagine with a proper alignment it'll be even better! These Hankook tires I've been slating have actually made sense to me now with the car lowered! Still very badly affected in the wet though but so brilliant in the dry, but noisy!

  29. Yep, looks like I might need a new pair one has a small bulge. I'm not sure whether to stick with them or try something else. Not really, wheels are only 7j. The guy who's doing mine runs an Evo and seems to know his stuff pretty well so I'm happy with that, closest specialist is Brands Hatch area I think. Yes just the rears.
