Got my temporary bootlid to a point where I can use it. I fudged the paint up.. well for the best part it looked really good. You will see in the pics where I didn't put enough lacquer in number plate area. But can probably polish that out. But there was a couple of runs (what happens when painting in the dark with led light) so sanded the runs out and vinyl wrapped it for now. Better luck next time. The original boot is gonna be painted same colour as wheels when I've decided.3 points

Got my tyre sorted and decided to treat the MB3 to a 99p car wash (and some hand-scrubbing after to remove some stubborn dirt) today. She cleans up well!2 points

Most of us have done it now so I think he's ran out of people to say it to for the first time!2 points

We like repetition here though! Makes us feel comfortable!2 points

Here's the usdm conversation on mine with LED side lights. They indicate brighter as these are on the dimmer filament which is why you can get away with it2 points

Was good to actually go in the BMW properly instead of in a car park. Definitely a good car and the VANOS YO! kicks in nicely.1 point

Sounds great. It can rattle the MB to pieces, or it can give a nice kick whilst allowing you to enjoy your music. Mine is set more towards the latter description.1 point

@Krzys you sure this thread is ok here? as its actually me selling converstion parts?? Payment will be through paypal sent as a gift. in the comments i will need your address and forum name right people i would just like to stress that these ARE NOT BRAND NEW!! they have been modified, and trimmed to fit the holder they will be going in to. so please do not expect something that looks like it is off the shelf. over time i will improve my trimming process so that they actually look they are suppose to be there. they do the part they are made to do, plus you wont see it. here is one of the worst case scenerio's (this set will be going in the SMX) as you can see from the photo, it is not round. but it does lock down as your normal holder would1 point

Some prep has began to repair the front end.. The panels i bought were titan silver so i thought it would be quick but i was wrong, the front bumper is too scruffy for me so i will have to sort that (no pictures yet) The two wings were disappointing one was rather scratched up and the other got ruined by the courier firm who lost it at first then delivered the next day and when i unwrapped it was very dented all over.. So the scratched up wing i have been working on with the G3 and gave it a polish and im happy (ish) with the results May try again on this scratch might be able to hide it This one is a bit deep to hide Only small but annoying anyway The worst one, look worse than the picture shows And this one Still looks okay i guess As i said the drivers side was so dented i have left that to the side for now and have decided to refurb a blue one with no dents but was very scratched.. This is how far i got Will get some primer on it hopefully tomorrow and see how it looks...1 point

And after all the effort I put in as well, there's gratitude for ya!1 point

Got to do a track day on Monday in an MB6, same one in as in the June issue of Japanese performance. This has really pushed me into wanting mine finished so I'm working with a local engine builder in the evenings and the weekends will be on the car from now on! I had a few laps tuition and drove in both the dry and pouring rain. Car had a few mods and a lot of lightning and was awesome in the wet, pretty good in the dry (just lacked power). The instructor was able to keep up with much more powerful cars on circuit by carrying so much corner speed but he's driven the circuit 1000's of times so should know where all the bends are by now! I'm waiting on a new ECU and some bits before I finalise the wiring and seal it in trunking so moving onto the fuel system this weekend. Doing a well organised track day is well worth trying. You get to see what your car can do in a controlled environment, and the company I went with did 20 minute tuition sessions which really help most people there on the day1 point

Well my lip spoiler is looking better this afternoon, I've offered it up and it looks much more like it, not the greatest finish but we'll see what the polish does. I couldn't really get much done yesterday because this was happening. So got on with some polishing today. So all nicely polished and waxed, she's flipping beautifully now. Lip spoiler drying in the background.1 point
