  2. Minor victory today! The alarm in my car was installed by one of the previous owners before the car became ours in 2006. We had no paperwork about the make and model, no codes and no instruction manual. All I had to go off was the "Laserline" logo on the fobs! A few months ago the arm/disarm button on one of the fobs broke and the other was getting bad as well. It worked but it'd arm/disarm the alarm whenever it felt like so I'd spend about a minute fighting my alarm and then running away so I was out of range before it unlocked the car again! So I got in touch with a company that deals in replacement fobs and told them about my problems. They guided me through how to find my alarm model and what fob I needed to buy (there's like 3 of the same fob, but with different internals for different alarms) and they told me what alarm I had and what fob I needed to buy! Got the new fob through the post, programmed it using the old remote and now I'm back to locking my car and walking away in confidence.

  3. Tyre's are on and wow. These Bridgestones pretty much transformed the car! Less road noise (a million times quieter) and feels so smooth! I never really been convinced into buying top notch tyre's but I am never buying budget tyre's again. The only downside of these Bridgestones that they have soft walls and looks beefy. So it's closer to the arch but still doesn't rub And then after fitting the tyre's, I managed to cut out holes in the fog blanks. Needs to be sanded down and hopefully get the fog lights in the fog blanks tomorrow

  9. The car is dangerous as it is, 70mm drop, imagine what angle the driveshafts and other suspension components are at. Must handle s**te.

  12. They have to be coded by Honda they don't auto sync, they are a waste of time the factory Central locking on these cars is Valeo Rover cr*p, I ripped mine out on all three of my Honda's and fitted after market Central locking Systems which cost about £20 from maplins or ebay and take about two hours to fit, hey presto you have two shiny new fobs. Obviously the OEM Fobs are all coded to the car they came with otherwise any fob once reset would open any car imagine that if you were standing in the car park trying to find you motor, be pretty funny. This is all you need, they work a thousand times better than the OEM ones and looks nice and clean. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Remote-Central-Door-Lock-Kit-Locking-Keyless-Entry-System-Remote-Control-UK-/301101202142?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item461b07bade the Central locking control Box is to the rear of the Ash tray of the centre console, easily accessable all the central door locking solenoids terminate into the, you have to figure out which wires open and close the circuit and which is 12v and ground but you have only five to choose from anyway so it doesn't take long. forget the standard setup mate the fobs last 5 mins and it only works when you stand next to it anyway, rover bobbins. all these fobs actually do is open and close they don't control and alarm or immobiliser as that's the key's job with the transponders in them, so really its pretty useless, other then making life a little easier of course.

  13. What's the actual benefit of having 70mm low suspension and surely when you have to start cutting lumps out your car to do such a thing that's bad right or is that just me? Just get something higher don't go cutting you car up with a grinder all that is doing is weakening the actual structure of the chassis which if you have an impact would change the way the car crumples that and how would you justify that to an insurance assessor in such an incident. look im not trying to be horrible even if it does sound like it but your common sense either needs waking up or engaging I don't know, just fit something that isn't going to smash your car to bits and not ones that require fixes that will potentially make your car dangerous in an accident that's not good advice. mods should be enhancements not dangerous. everyone seems to be skipping around the fact that a car isn't designed to be that low no matter how cool you think it might look.

  14. Its not the Camber arms causing your issue, its how much you have lowered it.................................................... remember that song by Yazz in the 80's the only way is up, there's a clue in there somewhere. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtKADQnjQmc

  16. Already had the quote for that..............£750 upwards. Not sure if I could warrant that on just a dash. lol Got to be a limit somewhere! Had the deck out for a wee run with Dougie yesterday in his mb6. Got some photos that will post up later

  21. Funny I thought the same thing but I wasn't about to crack open the new gauge and paint the needle. I pushed my luck doing what I did without messing it up! Oil cooler has now arrived so need to fit that in somewhere behind the bumper. Don't think I'll have any overheating issues on track with a triple core double width unit!

  23. Time for a quick update (not a lot happening, work it getting in the way) New radiator has arrived, doesn't fit but I'll soon sort that Need to cut off the stock lower mounts for the radiator, unbolt the air con rad mounts and reweld. The pins for the top will also have to be cut off and new mounts made on the sides of the rad. Not something I'm going to attempt but I know someone who can help This will also pull the rad forward to give more clearance to the manifold Next job, sort the dials. I know the stock fuel gauge will not work with the new fuel cell, so need somewhere to fit the new gauge. Why not use the old location? Stripped down the casing, and a quick skim with the dremmel and the gauge fits the front panel Time to make it fit the back part, clear off everthing in the way Mark out roughly where the gauge will end up Not my finest dremmel moment, but it will do for now. Cut the circuit board to clear. Luckily, I am only effecting the original fuel gauge connections, nothing I can't bypass And then time to clean, reassemble and re-glue the housing back together Saves having a dead dial and another stuck on the dash!

  24. There are companies that do turret risers for Civic and Integra that will fit the MB/MC cars. Means cutting out the top of the tower and welding in a new section, repaint and seal so not a small job.
