  2. Nope, didn't quote any figures, don't blame him though... Cant imagine i will gain too much in the way of peak bhp, just want a nice power curve with no flat spots and hopefully better mpg

  4. They do go wrong a lot, and they not allowed to be labled as they are Thatcham cat 1's they have little tags on for the install then you remove them all once done and sign the certificate that gets your insurance discounted, that way they are "tamper Proof" and slide into the OEM loom. they are a pain trust me, but when they working they do a good job.

  6. For those not on Facebook, i'll put the video on YouTube later. Its a bit raspy and crap, but its only got to last 6 weeks until the car is off the road for lots of new things Matt

  7. I had a go in a 330d a few years back and didn't take to it! Don't get me wrong it was nice to drive, very quick and smooth but that "something" was just lacking! The 270 is meant to be a cross between quick and economical, 5 cylinder jobby! My old man has the S320, 3.2 straight six diesel, very nice, punchy and about the only auto box I don't get in a rage about, mostly because of the tiptronic doing as I tell it to when the box makes a bad decision! Also there's something about the Merc interiors I prefer over the BMW's, very nice place to sit! I just don't enjoy driving at the minute, the roads are crap, fuel is expensive and I haven't been on a random drive for the sake of it in years! Plus with the walking and cycling and not really using the car during the week it would be nice to have some luxury when I do get in and pot about, I just want a big engine for going quick. Can't say I'm overly bothered about getting around corners at light speed either, I've been there and done that! I like my creature comforts these days, I'm getting too old for my fillings to be rattled out

  9. The MB6 is going, fancy a radical change! Been looking at the E320 CDi Though that said next week I'll probably fancy something else again If the car I end up with doesn't work in the snow then I'll just use the Accord, that car has proven itself very good in the snow!

  12. That's my biggest gripe these days, the internet is wonderful and power tool and yet some people are too lazy to write properly. I do understand of course there are medical exceptions, before someone starts.

  13. Hey! What you did to my door means I can steal as many pitchas as I want Yeah considering only one side of mine actually got polished, because major CBAs. It did come out really well and it's still shiny now. Brown, but shiny. Plans for this car! I do not like this exhaust. It is headachey at 70mph which I don't mind cause it's completely fine at 80. But I had to get it adjusted because of off the shelf exhaust clearance issues with the rear LCAs and now the backbox doesn't sit how I want it to, because of this I have revised my plans slightly. Plans before JF1 2015 in no particular order except the first 3 things: - Custom backbox from solid fabrications with even more angle and similar noise levels (ASAP as backbox is low and if I raise it then I can't have rear passengers) - Centre section tucked up from solid fabrications - JDM Spec Rear anti roll bar - Custom 3" intake - RBC inlet manifold and TB adaptor - DC5 Flywheel - Cams (already got some lined up) - PLM headers (got a friend in America helping me out with these) - KPRO3 plus Map (already know who I want mapping it) - Eibach Pro kit lowering springs. As you have noticed there is nothing cosmetic bar springs on this list, why? Because race car. Seeing my mates on track at Japfest2 (black GT turbo starlet with no front grille, white JDM DC2 with CF bonnet and roof spoiler). I really really want a car that performs well, the above setup should have me as one of the more powerful OEM K20A2s in the country so will be a monster on track and road. Knowing that my car is on par with a JDM DC2 with light mods from a motorway roll (68-70mph officer), means that the estimated 210-215bhp that EP3s reach with just a catback is true for mine. It performs incredibly well and can pull lengths on most similar classed cars I see around here at sanctioned events (GTIs, cupras the like). I do have a mods list for the exterior but... that's for after it gets performing how I want, plus I kind of want it to look like "just another EP3 with an exhaust" when it has what should be.. ~260bhp.

  14. its nice but i would have done a couple of things differently given that kind of budget, he's also wrong about a couple of minor things in the spec list......... spelling leaves a lot top be desired as well lol

  16. Tyre's are on and wow. These Bridgestones pretty much transformed the car! Less road noise (a million times quieter) and feels so smooth! I never really been convinced into buying top notch tyre's but I am never buying budget tyre's again. The only downside of these Bridgestones that they have soft walls and looks beefy. So it's closer to the arch but still doesn't rub And then after fitting the tyre's, I managed to cut out holes in the fog blanks. Needs to be sanded down and hopefully get the fog lights in the fog blanks tomorrow

  17. I got the clutch from ebay. I have found that if you can find the part number for a clutch, just search using that and you get them a lot cheaper as most retailers list like this.. civic 95-01 clutch exedy hck2021 Doing that I found the clutch for £101. (it was showing fitment for a b18c4 mc2, but I knew its the same fitment for mb6) but searching for civic mb6 or civic vti or civic b series clutch, they were £140 +++ I also managed to get my friend a genuine exedy clutch for his civic type r which retail at £150 ish for £55 using the same method (by searching using the Exedy part number rather then searching using the car details) If anyone wants more information on the clutch seller, inbox me! I was dubious at first but the clutch is 'exedy europe' as I read online that some of the cheaper ones are from American distributors and not as good as the European stuff. The bearing is 'koyo'. The steering wheel I got off facebook, took a lot of time to arrive and the seller seemed very dodgy, he was making a lot of excuses about not being able to post it out. or that his mother sent it and he hasn't got a tracking number etc but it arrived finally. Not usually a fan of buying from facebook as soooo many crooks on it. Its in pretty good condition too with hardly any wear to it.

  18. Maybe its wisdom not old age as i have a 4 in front not a 3 and i have to agree that if lowering to tgat extent damages the car then its not the way to go. I.E its too low

  21. He has had one before the R26 230 Bhp version, had the typical Renault electrical issues but generally it was okay to drive. I haven't been for a drive in the one although the F1 edition is without LSD, can't imagine it to any good honestly. I was glad I didn't buy the R26 as I was looking to buy it originally, I think they are too flimsy and stock they are not very lively. Couple of bits arrived and done! I will refurb the thread on the momo wheel (easy way is to clean it and use red permanent marker). Still awaiting some climair deflectors, Clutch will be fitted after I return from my holiday now. Came suprisngly quick, I only ordered it yesterday and they messaged me back asking for my reg to confirm that it was the right part for my car. Was here by midday! Some quick service and the price is amazing!
