  1. Well that person turned out to be a Time Waster..was supposed to come tomorrow to pick up the car but he never replied to my messages or phone call to let me know what time he is coming..So I texted everyone who had asked me about the car and a guy (Stefan) phoned me and said he would like to come straight away to look at the car..I thought he was coming from somewhere local but turns out he drove all the way from Luton and got to my home at 10.20pm.. He loved how the car looked..took him for a spin and he could tell the car is spot on..Told him all the details about the car..All minor issues and we had a deal..Explained to him about Civic5 and told him to join as it's the best resource for our M civics..He was a proper Honda enthusiast and said he got good plans for the car and he will look after the car well Last pic by me

  2. Hi there The car was purchased in january 2012 as a standard 1.6 S.E non v-tec, after blowing the bottom end due to oil pump failure the engine was replaced like for like. Again 3 months later the oil pump failed so another car was purchased this time a 1.8 v-tec vti as a car was needed. This then became my project car with many plans put into place. The first "mod" was a B16a2 engine replacement from a ek civic vti. The transplant was undertaken by myself and my brother. Then after many hrs of tinkering and a home made wiring loom being made the car came to life . The car was lowered on honda del sol suspention units dripping her by about 90mm. Next on the list was the interior as it was not nice ( cream seats and door cards ). This was first replaced with leather seats and then with a full v.t.i. interior collected from north wales and fitted the next day. The bonnet was chipped so it was wrapped in black carbon but changed to green to make it stand out from the rest. The front wings were next with home made vents and sprayed matt black as the paint supplied by halfrauds was incorrect and a car show the next day. Then the whole car was later sprayed matt black as i liked the colour and did all the work myself to cut costs The mgzs spoiler was painted and fitted as i like the shape of them. Then came the " Turtle" stage, the door cards were retrimmed in a turtle fleece as was the roof lining, side trims, clock surround and seatbelt covers.Turtle head cushions were put over the rear head rests and a graphic on the roof. Mods so far 4-1 manifold De-cat lowered on del sol suspention full vti interior low profile rocker kit vti-s front and rear lip mgzs side skirts mgzs door mirrors matt black respray loads more to do/ fit There will be pics when i find them and will be uploaded soon thanks for reading this i have prob missed loads and will update soon Here is how she started off on her first day home user/tonypoole5/media/civic5/514.jpg.html] [/u RL] How the engine is at the moment needs tidying up a bit though

  3. Nice care mate. I've paid £2300 one year before! (rover 1.4 16v twin cam = 6 points and crash) but i had modified the tits out of it so paid up. You just have to pay what you have to pay these days. Will be cheaper in a few years. Enjoy driving, it's only money at the end of the day, better to spend money on things you can show for it.

  4. This is exactly what I keep saying to everyone when it comes to the common head-gasket fault, but they just choose to not believe you... We got a Rover 45 with a 1.6 K at work. I fitted a modified head gasket set with slightly shorter head bolts. Done 3000 flawless miles so far

  15. Rust and bodywork is the main thing, most buyers prefer a clean body over miles. You'l need to get pics of the arches and sills to give a good estimate. Typically, they are going for around the £1500 ish mark in average condition. My last one was sold for £1000 on facebook after replying to a wanted ad for a VTiS and the lad ripped my arm off at that price. I did want more but I had already purchased another VTiS. The engine/box etc was in superb condition having had thousands spent on the mechanicals. The body had no real rust but the paintwork was dull and needed a good machine polish. Mileage was only around 90K if I remember rightly. I paid more for my current MB6 VTiS with a lot more miles but it was slightly cleaner bodywise and had a few nice mods. All depends on the buyer, people are prepared to pay around £1500 and not much more it seems.. An enthusiast however may possibly pay a shade more..

  17. I would say around £1600/1700. Low mileage and standard is good IMO. I recon I will be selling mine this time next year...but selling most parts off it to get some of my money back

  18. It will either be clutch slave cylinder or clutch master cylinder thats going bad. Clutch slave cylinder pull rubber boot back if it has fluid init then its bad Clutch master cylinder you will have to check in the car near the clutch pedel check for any fluid leaking near the rod These are quite common on Hondas I have these in stock give me a shout if you need anymore info

  22. @Dave sorry for the late reply only just seen this. It was the fluid non in at all I slowly lost all gears and nothing in the pedal at all and then I realises it must be fluid, there must be a small leak on the system somewhere. Anyway ive topped it up and bleed it back up so see how long the fluid lasts. Ive had the car almost 6months and never had this problem so if it lasts that long without needing any its nothing of much urgency

  23. Just a example of what they look like close up. Using purple rain fallout remover if you havent used any I would recomend that you do awesome stuff

  24. Mine shows a lot through. I prefer it like that though. Put the H back on and it'll look sweet. I sprayed that support bar black after realising it was a bit too obvious behind the grill. You don't have that problem.

  26. I would say on the standard MB6 I noticed the difference between the OEM and MG rear ARB in terms of how the front end behaves. I might one day go for the JDM rear ARB for the Type R as its thicker than the UK one, should work on the same principle.

  27. I have just sprayed my mesh grill black for now as I couldn't wait any longer to put that on but I will be carbon wrapping it at some point..

  28. So this was this was what was causing my brake issues The car sat in the drive over most of Christmas although I did bring it in the garage one afternoon and greased up the pads and pins. I pushed the stuck piston back in to the caliper after scraping a load of gunk off it and fired a ton of WD40 around the piston under the rubber seal. This seems to have fixed it for now, however I left the car at my friendly mechanics on Monday and he looked over my work just incase I missed something. Last night I took the car for its MOT and it flew through The tester actually said it looked like a nice clean car lol I've started making a list of possible replacements so it would be nice if it played nice with me for a month or two so I can gather up some funds.
