I picked her up about noon, not anywhere near a PC for pictures as I've pretty much been out all afternoon, but I did find time to sort the blower resister and change the clock into 24h!2 points

Lol Dave no you have to many cars lol and a nice place to keep them . I am happy with her but still think she can get better in a fair few ways but yer she goes ok lol and that's before you hit vtec and then all hell is unleashed barrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr holy shxx sound better in the flesh the mics on cam are bit pants and could not take It lol1 point

It had a chip already in the ecu but my car cut out the odd time when coming to a halt...obv it was chipped to the precious dc2 so had to get live map to sort. Car drove really well on getting it back...now has one vtec point at 5000rpm as recommended by Triple H.1 point

Was in traffic earlier today and the old girl just died, tried to start her again but all she was doing was turning over and over with no blip no kick no jump. I checked all the connections and that but still nothing. Spoke to a mate who i thought i might be able to tow me and said it could be snapped cambelt and my gut started churning. After more mess i finally went back to work to get some tools aaaaaaaaaannnndd the cambelt is fine No spark from the plug cable or from the ingition cable so im thinking the ingition coil has gone ? Going to multimeter the coil tomorrow and maybe bodge hard wire the coil to get it home.1 point

Nice one on the MOT! Like I said, I think the only problems you will ever have is suspension mainly. I wish I had an excuse to change my suspension but it's all like new! I always wanted my car to fail on shocks and springs every time it has it's MOT! The tester thinks I'm not right in the head!1 point

Just to add to all the above info, you'll notice that most other vtec engines B18C/K20 etc the vtec crossover is much louder/noticeable but it's also much higher up the rev range. With these engines everything happens at once, when the vtec cam lobe engages it also adds the extra air, with ours, as said, it happens in stages which is why the crossover is less noticeable but the engine as a whole is more useable without having to constantly wring it's neck.1 point

I had the same at first but on second attempt i put it roughly in place but not stuck down and use a stanley blade to remove H from backing then used blade to manouver it so kink had gone and i did the outside ring afterwards..1 point
