The seals and bearing seals are made from a high temp silicon iirc and silicon and petrol don't mix nor do they like the high amount of pressure being exerted on the shaft which run harder and faster as its basically a hot rotating explosive aerosolOur 180 had antilag on the omex system, had a switch on the dash to turn it on. If you're gonna sand and paint. Chances are it will come back eventually I reckon.if all the offending stuff is cut out and replaced. Painted. Stone chipped underneath etc blah blah. Should be a long lasting repair

Afternoon people had some more free time I removed the power steering but I didnt like the drive without it so refitted it. Also fitted the s2000 clusters today. The car is going back into the bodyshop monday rear wheel caught the arch and cracked the paint. I have all the paperwork for the plate just need to send it of to dvla so they can tranfer it onto the car. Pics to follow

It's a vent to allow a little airflow in a bid to stop condensation. Doesn't do its job very well.. as condensation inside the arches is often what causes them to rust inside out. Could probably do with a vent the other side but there isn't one

Perhaps that's why they got confused.

Really frustrating mate, you should be able to go and get the geo set up with an idea of how you want it to look and they should be able to tell you how it can be achieved and then go about doing it otherwise why are you paying them? The wheels are 7x16 aren't they? Are you running spacers? If not what offset are the wheels? From looking at the pics on the previous page yours looks a bit lower than mine at the rear but about the same on the front and I get no scrubbing at all. Hope you get this sorted.
