  1. Thanks for all the comments guys, much appreciated! Getting busy with the garage build now, as planning permission has been granted. Guys coming next week to get the foundations/base done (reinforced base and fully damp coursed ) and then once the base has been down for 7 days, the garage will be going up!! Got so much going on just now, not got a free minute! Got 2 tons of gravel coming to fill in the gap left now we've widened the drive, then got the builder coming to rebuiled the raised border wall like it was before (but obv further back). Plus getting a new bath fitted this weekend too! The two M's will need to sit out on the main road for a couple of days while this is all going on, so will be taking Dawns deck to work so I know it's safe, and Ruby and Lexy will be left at home. Can't wait!!!!!!!!!
  2. Just want to say a big thanks to everyone who donated to our Civic5 Edinburgh Dog & Cat Home fundraiser box. We hit the £100 target, and I will add another £50 to that so £150 in total. Dawn would be so proud of you guys for helping her favourite cause. We'll do another one soon! So Thank you from Dawn and Me
  3. I like the idea of painting the front bumper like that (the fog surrounds/lower bumper grill uprights etc) looks sweet! Tidy mb6 mate!
  4. Not had a chance to keep up to date with all the project threads lately, must say she's come a long way mate! Looking very pretty indeed! First time I've noticed the badge grill! Love it mate, & thanks for repping the club! Wouldn't mind getting something similar made up.
  5. CAN ALL OUR CIVIC5 FB MEMBERS PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING. I've heard that there are a few other car clubs such as ours that have their own FB group too, and there have been reports of scams taking place. This seems to be the norm nowadays, with strangers joining groups/forums for the sole purpose of trying to scam the genuine members. Please use caution when buying goods offered for sale within the Civic5 Facebook group, unless you know the person selling the stuff. I know most of our group are longstanding members and genuine but please keep an eye out. We can't offer the same level of security on there as we have in the forum, so buyers beware! We'll be recruiting a Civic5 Team specifically to manage our FB side of things, so hopefully this will keep scams to a minimum, but as said above, still won't be as safe as the forum. Dave
  6. We still have lots of profiles that have not been filled in. Can we all check and amend profiles where needed please. Thanks guys!
  7. Just to back up what Paul (Knight) said, this comp is open to everyone. As long as it's a Civic M, it can be entered into the comp. Owner entries are welcomed just as much as members putting other members cars up for the comp. If anyone doesn't like a car that's been entered, or how its been entered into the comp, keep those thoughts to yourselves please as they serve no purpose in this thread.Just vote for another car!! Peace everyone!! . Very tough comp this month guys! Superb entries, I'd vote for em all if I could!
  8. lol you didnt post a pic or linky to the build you bad boy!!! lol
  9. Ok guys, time for entries has now closed. Time to get voting! One of the best cotm's we've had this year, amazing entries!
  10. Good to see you back in an M mate. That's a cracking car for the money!! Looking forward to seeing more pics!
  11. Shame about the accord mate, looked stunning, really nice colour too. But big up the vtis! I reckon that will be a keeper! loved seeing it at the meet!
  12. Love what you've done with the original 5 spoke speedlines mate!! look sweet!
  13. Always hate saying goodbye to cars that I've become attached to. Least you'll see it regulary mate, and hope your mate looks after it Bet you'll end up in an mb again one day................we all do!!!
  14. Saw this vtis at the meet and fell in love with it..............sooooooooo clean!!! Stunner Phil!
  15. I've heard mixed reviews on swapping the inlet manifolds mate, so not too sure. imo the original inlet is probably the best one for the job, but maybe some of the other members can shed some light on this.
  16. Yeah, have to agree mate, the price these seem to command is shocking, although I suppose its because its OEM Honda/Momo. Price always put me off a bit, but when Harv advertised this at that price, I was on it like a......................erm, we'll leave that thought right there!!!! lol
  17. Bloody hell! Just noticed the aerodeck prices there......Dawns deck cost more than the vti deck!!!!!! never knew that!! She's be well chuffed to see that! PS: Pm me bud if you wanna sell these!
  18. Jammy jammy booger!!!!!! I've hunted ebay and the likes for ages and can never find them! Mae (Neela-mb1) found some which were French! Even in the original dealer folder type thingy!! If I remember rightly, the last of the mb6 and mc2 were just under 18 grand new!
  19. This build is epic! Love the attention to detail mate, make me think about the route I want to go with my mb6! Top job mate, keep the updates coming!
  20. I've got the coilovers on mine (MeisterR) and dropped it around an inch (possibly slightly more)(which is around 30mm) and slightly less at the rear. Haven't had many issues so far, manages up kerbs no probs, and only one speedbump so far has caused any type of grounding. The speedbump was exceptionally high though, a lot higher than most! Other speedbumps have caused no issues at all. So reckon 30mm will suit your needs fine mate. Not sure about the rutted track roads though, will depend on how deep the ruts are.
  21. Yeah mate, that's the plan. And during the taxed 6 months, mileage will be kept to a minimum. Noticed the mileometer on the way home this morning..........3 miles till she hits 80.000 miles! So by this time tomorrow, she'll be into the 80's (bit like me!) When she reappears next year, she'll mainly be travelling to meets/shows only. With the occasional weekend run thrown in. Same goes for Dawns deck too, and she's only on 64'000 miles (iirc)
  22. lol yeah mate, was first proper drive of her, was brilliant fun! Going to be using her again to go to work tonight too, just can't get enough lol. Plus the tax runs out October, so won't be taxing her again until the spring summer time next year. She'll be all cuddled up next to Dawns deck in the garage till then That wheel has got to be one of the best mods I've bought so far, along with the suspension. Transforms the car eh!
  23. Ok, said i wasnt buying anything else for Ruby for a while, but guess what? I have!! lol Been after one of these for absolutely ages, and finally one came up for sale right here on Civic5! Honda Integra DC2 TypeR steeringwheel (Momo) with airbag. Fitting was a piece of cake, easy peasy. What a difference driving her with this. Slightly smaller than the oem wheel, and a lot chunkier too, makes cornering even more fun! Love the look of these, and being a genuine Honda item, keeps it oem. Took Ruby back to St Marys Loch yesterday, first long run I've driven her on since getting the new suspension fitted. With that and the new sterring wheel, she drives epic now! Really love the grip you have on the wheel, and just looks soooo cool! Well happy! And even drove Ruby to work again tonight lol So much for me not going to se her very often! Big thanks to HarVtec for this, really amazing price and delivered quick too!
