  1. Bloody hell! Just noticed the aerodeck prices there......Dawns deck cost more than the vti deck!!!!!! never knew that!! She's be well chuffed to see that! PS: Pm me bud if you wanna sell these!
  2. Jammy jammy booger!!!!!! I've hunted ebay and the likes for ages and can never find them! Mae (Neela-mb1) found some which were French! Even in the original dealer folder type thingy!! If I remember rightly, the last of the mb6 and mc2 were just under 18 grand new!
  3. This build is epic! Love the attention to detail mate, make me think about the route I want to go with my mb6! Top job mate, keep the updates coming!
  4. I've got the coilovers on mine (MeisterR) and dropped it around an inch (possibly slightly more)(which is around 30mm) and slightly less at the rear. Haven't had many issues so far, manages up kerbs no probs, and only one speedbump so far has caused any type of grounding. The speedbump was exceptionally high though, a lot higher than most! Other speedbumps have caused no issues at all. So reckon 30mm will suit your needs fine mate. Not sure about the rutted track roads though, will depend on how deep the ruts are.
  5. Yeah mate, that's the plan. And during the taxed 6 months, mileage will be kept to a minimum. Noticed the mileometer on the way home this morning..........3 miles till she hits 80.000 miles! So by this time tomorrow, she'll be into the 80's (bit like me!) When she reappears next year, she'll mainly be travelling to meets/shows only. With the occasional weekend run thrown in. Same goes for Dawns deck too, and she's only on 64'000 miles (iirc)
  6. lol yeah mate, was first proper drive of her, was brilliant fun! Going to be using her again to go to work tonight too, just can't get enough lol. Plus the tax runs out October, so won't be taxing her again until the spring summer time next year. She'll be all cuddled up next to Dawns deck in the garage till then That wheel has got to be one of the best mods I've bought so far, along with the suspension. Transforms the car eh!
  7. Ok, said i wasnt buying anything else for Ruby for a while, but guess what? I have!! lol Been after one of these for absolutely ages, and finally one came up for sale right here on Civic5! Honda Integra DC2 TypeR steeringwheel (Momo) with airbag. Fitting was a piece of cake, easy peasy. What a difference driving her with this. Slightly smaller than the oem wheel, and a lot chunkier too, makes cornering even more fun! Love the look of these, and being a genuine Honda item, keeps it oem. Took Ruby back to St Marys Loch yesterday, first long run I've driven her on since getting the new suspension fitted. With that and the new sterring wheel, she drives epic now! Really love the grip you have on the wheel, and just looks soooo cool! Well happy! And even drove Ruby to work again tonight lol So much for me not going to se her very often! Big thanks to HarVtec for this, really amazing price and delivered quick too!
  8. Have to say even though it's good that Honda have gone back to having a civic estate/aerodeck (why tourer????) I must admit I'm deffo no fan of that! If they had based it on the previous style (same as my sexy lexy) then I think it would have looked a whole lot nicer. I had the new civic as a courtesy car for 7 weeks while Lexy was in getting stuff done, and I hated it! It was a five door, and from most angles the car looked horrendeous! Them big stupid sticky out rear lights, the pointless over bulged arches, the front, in fact the whole car was ugly! And that interior may look ok, but believe me, after having that one for so long, I still couldnt find half the bloody controls! Awful instrument layout, awful layout of the controls too. The original FN1/FN2 are a far better design. Honda fooked up big time when they updated it to the current model. The dash just looks like any other offering from the likes of renault/vauxhall etc, with a bit stuck on top for the speedo. Just my humble opinion lol I'd take an original civic aerodeck over the new one any day! Old skool rules! lmao. Good find though mate!
  9. Good job on the engine bay mate! Looks stunning! Really nice looking mb6 this, and nice low miles too. Tell Shellie to get busy with more pics lol
  10. Those should have been fitted from standard, they look amazing mate. Really freshens up the front end. It kinda reminds me of the evo 6, with the big dominating foglamps! Loving this!!
  11. lol, its not green mate, its dark grey! lmao. That's the standard board colour for standard members y'see. Traders are orange if i remember rightly. Not sure how the colours all work on the mobile theme tbh, never really checked if the names are the same as on the full version.
  12. Retro cool!!! Welcome back mate, good to see you back in a Honda! Thats a mega sweet find, looks all original too! Looking forward to see where you go with this, bags of potential there! 8-)
  13. Yeah, I'd say these are the ultimate set up for the M's! A lot of thought has gone into the design of them, and it's so good to drive I've actually used her to go to work the last two days on the trot! lol Gave Lexy a break! A few more pics of how she looks now
  14. Ok, all fitted, and tested! Honestly wasn't sure how she would be with the coilovers on. Expected them to be maybe too stiff and uncomfortable............................but wholly crap!!! They have 32 settings for ride (1 to 32, 32 being the stiffest) and we have so far set the fronts on 20 and the rears on 18. The ride is totally unexpected!!! Comfy as hell, even on bumpy roads! I'd even go as far to say they are possibly the same comfort (or possibly more) than the stock mb6 suspension! But handling??? I'm absolutely amazed, could swear she is on rails! And not really played much with the set up yet, but she is so planted in corners she had me and Rob giggling like a couple of school kids on the test drive! Just sooooo much fun to drive! Gone is the understeer, and at worst all you get if you really try and push it is slight oversteer! It really is fun to drive now, and wish I'd gone for them earlier! We've droped her around an inch on the front, not quite as much at the rear, but she may well be going a wee bit lower yet. Can't recomend Meister R enough, amazing bit of kit, and top quality too! Got a wee pic, but will post more when I got time
  15. Hi mate.Going by this thread >>> Rear speakers I quoted the size at 13cm (and stated "if i remembered correctly") which equates to 5in approx. The post quoting them as 4in was posted after me, and I wasn't aware it was there, so apologies for the misleading info bud. I'll remove that post from the thread right now so it keeps the info up to date and accurate in the forum
  16. lol nope indeed not! Another update on Ruby, this time a biggy!!!! Been working on her latest mod, the suspension! Wee teaser pic to keep you all interested!! She'll be wearing her new suspension for the meet, so will be sporting a new look to how she normally looks! All the other components in the pic will be getting blasted then powdercoated/anodized/painted once my garage is built! Massive thanks to Rob (Kyekye09) for his hard work in getting this kit fitted, couldn't have done it without him! And thanks to his mrs Louise for the constant supply of coffee!! Was totally p*ssing down with rain during the fitting of the new stuff, so the coffee kept us going. Our breeks were soaked through!!! lmao Doing the rear suspension today!
  17. Mate just ignore them! Unless it's "pure jdm bud" or part of the stance brigade, and has the following letters in it ( eg, ef, ek, ej, em, ep, fn) they aint interested. TBH, not all are like that on there, there are some decent members. Just you always seem to get a wee clique that jump on the y0 bandwagon! They is haters, and they aint all that! They don't know individuality, only sheep. They follow a trend, rather than be the creator of a trend.
  18. Excellent choice of wheel mate, the M's really suit them! Thats looking nice n low!
  19. And she failed Not! She flew through her MOT! My faith is restored! Ruby is 99% back to her former glory woop woop! Only thing they noticed was the emissions were a bit higher this time around, so not sure whats causing that. Maybe the lamba sensor? EGR valve? Still within the limits a but a significant difference compared to last year. Still, I is a happy bunny!!! Also got a couple of new toys today, one for meets and the other is an upgrade for Dawns deck!
  20. Up at RJM Performance just now, waiting on Ruby coming out from her mot, and inspection. Fingers crossed!
  21. That's a tidy wee usb mate! I went and bought one for Ruby the other day, only bought it because it was metallic red. It's quite small compared to most, but nowhere near that small! I want one!!
  22. Really like this MB3, looks really sweet mate. Some very nice mods you've done to it, and mega clean too!
