  1. Hi Rassiel, There shouldn't be any issues mate as the immobilizer is worked from the ignition key, it has a transponder in it. I got an aftermarket alarm system fitted to both my MB6 and Dawns MC1 Deck. As long as it's a proper fitter that's doing it, all should be straight forward mate
  2. Your honour is honoured! Now in the How To section, and edited your original post to include the link But for those wanting the linky without scrolling back up this page, clicky here!
  3. Excellent how to mate! We need more like this! Looks sweet all fitted up mate, really like that.
  4. You're deck is epic mate, so can see why your stuck on what to do. I think if it were me, I'd probably get another civic as a daily and really go to town on the deck. As rare as the ef sedans are, there's always going to be one at a show thats been modded, and you kinda get slated for going any other route other than JDM with it. So kinda leaves you pee'd off at some of the comments you would get if you dared be different. Obviously you'd be fine on here with it, cause at civic5 we don't stick to any one particular style, and love to see something tastefully different. But with the deck, you know you are already being different from the crowd, and where and how far you go with it is only limited to your imagination. I know I'm biased, but I'm always gonna say go mad with the deck!

    ebay section

Yeah, we did have it but it was a no brainer tbh. Loads of people just joined the forum and put up an ebay link to stuff they wanted to sell, and it gave us a hella lot of work cleaning up links that had ended etc. Just cluttered the place up. Thanks for the input though fella
  6. Sounds like it's disconnected at the heater mate, or, if you're unlucky, it may have come away at the switch end of the cable. If it has, then it's a centre console out job to repair it.
  7. Thanks Paul! Update on the garage. Both M's now slumming it outside till the weekend! Emptied the garage so we could get the floor sealed, then painted. No0w had it's second coat of red garage floor paint, and is looking cushdy. Should be ok to get all the shelving/workbench/tools etc back in tomorrow night, but can't be driven on for 2 days. Be good to get the spare bedroom back, as it's currently home for all of the above! can't get in the bloody door! Oh, and Ruby and Dawns deck's tailor made car covers arrive tomorrow! Result! So plan is, Saturday get both cars washed/dried, then back into garage. Then over Saturday/sunday get both machine polished, then fit their covers. Garage will be a whole lot better now, as the cement dust from the floor was awful. now it should be a relatively dust free zone. Will take some pics tomorrow at some point. Looking at heaters next, with possible panel heaters getting fitted so it's heated during the winter too. Couple of halogens or space heaters will be bought for when we're working in the garage. Massive thanks to Paul (Bladerider929) for his help over the last few days, coming straight from night shifts to help with the painting. TBH, he did most of it!
  8. You got a very tidy one there mate! Also good to see another club car staying in the club! Loving the deck you're getting Carl, VTiS decks getting extremely rare nowadays, and that one looks mint!
  9. Have to say mate, when you sent me the pics through pm, I was almost in tears. Such a truely nice thing you have done, dedicating the car to your folks and Dawn, who are no longer here. Know they will be looking down and will be sooo proud of what you have achieved mate. And Dawn will be saying "so that's what he was up to!" I know she was as big a fan of your build as I am, and used to love trying to guess what you were planning next when on the phone to us. So many ideas in there that she would have loved. Hope you don't mind me nicking a few for Ruby and Dawns deck! Totally inspired build this!
  10. There are no sheep in Daves street! lmao! Seriously though, I think this project deff deserves something kinda special like unveiling or something. It's been not just one but two mammoth journeys for Dave, Sarah and this mental Civic!
  11. Thanks for that mate! Exactly what i was looking for! Just bought one for Dawns deck and one for Ruby. Went for the Prestige Lite ones Thats me £500 lighter! Thanks for the comments guys! Now go build yourselves a garage too!! You wont regret it!
  12. I need to check this project more often!!! Dave, the dipped parts you were telling me about when you two were up look.....................totally stunning! I so much want to start this on Ruby now, so I'll give you a call mate for the details. That all looks so different to anything we've ever seen on here before, and the quality is amazing! As said above, the attention to detail, and the time, effort and research (and imagination) you've put in to achieve this is definitely inspiring mate. This will be without the best modified M out there. It has it all. The looks, the interior and the power, it's just so unique. I was so pleased when you told me you'd changed the name from Trinity to Trinity D as a mark of respect to Dawn, really touched mate. And Dawn will love what you've done mate. She used to love hearing your ideas for the car on the phone, and the mystery you gave us both as to what you were planning! Even though she isn't here physically to see it, she will be watching it's build from further away. I'm so excited about this car! Gonna organize a wee trip down to see you both and trinity D very soon! Get the pics up asap when the new bits are fitted mate! Can't wait to see it!!!
  13. Nice one mate, glad you picked one up! Looks really clean, nice place to start modding. The power of these things out the box makes you smile eh!! lol Still puts a huge smile on my face every time I drive Ruby! Looking forward to seeing your project come to life!
  14. Wouldn't let him use our loo y'see! pmsl j/k
  15. lol Honestly, can't tell you what a difference it makes! Charged up Dawns battery, and without the hassle of removing it from the car this time! Just knowing I can start a job, then if I run out of time I can just shut the door and leave everything where they are and go back to it when i have time.
  16. Ok, so you all know I've been getting a double garage built to keep Ruby and Dawns deck nice and safe. We;;, glad to say it's all up and done! Still got the electrics to go in (this saturday) so got an extension cable in there just now. Also still got the driveway to sort out, needs another ton of gravel, and Dawns raised border retaining wall needs to be rebuilt to make everything nice and tidy again. But the garage.........over the moon with it!! Got more space inside than I'd actually thought it would, can open all doors on both cars when they're in , and room at the front for a workbench and shelving etc. Here's the pics as requested! The guys start unloading the garage, ready to be built. And during the build Dawns deck couldn't wait to get in! Plenty room inside! Sooo, decided to invest in some new stuff for the garage. Got a new work bench, as I reckon I'll be spending a lot of time in there! Then went to hang up my tools. Dawn got me a a cracking tool box with tools, but wanted to keep them in the box (it's one of the ones with the drawers etc) so started hanging up my old tools.................and they looked pants! Half the sizes of spanners/sockets were missing, so back to Machine Mart and bought some nice new tools from they're Clarke Pro range Full set of socket extensions New set of sockets, which go all the way from 7mm up to 34mm (iirc) and a new ratchet Then thought, hmmm, those look nice with their wee stand.............so new set of screw drivers. And finally, a brand new set of spanners, again from the Pro series. These are mirror finished, so look sparkly! Full range of sizes from 6mm all the way up to 36mm. Really love them, and they're multifit heads, which mean they fit normal nuts/bolts, and also torx and hex bolts too. Was going to move the steel shelving from my shed to the garage, then thought, stuff it, so got brand new steel shelving for the garage too. And the wee special thing i had got for the garage? Proper "Honda power of dreams" banner! Ruby and Dawns deck seem to like it! Oh, and excuse the dust/dirt on both of them when the photos were taken, they've both been properly cleaned since then! Finally, all tucked up in their beds! And to make sure they stay safe in their new home, the garage is also alarmed. It's hooked into the house alarm, which is linked to the Police, so all secure. Lovin' it!
  17. This is an epic build mate, love this deck!! Really glad you've stuck to your guns and gone your own way styling this, it's what the M's are all about.
  18. Sorry guys, been away from the site quite a bit lately. The donations side changed from being for the club to being for the EDCH, one of Dawns favourite causes. We'll be starting a new donation soon, so keep an eye out. The club just relies on memberships/stuff getting sold in the shop now for funding.
  19. Thanks for the nice comments mate, Dawn would be pleased! As Mr Brown said, the price Dawn paid to get this done professionally would make most peoples eyes water! lol But she always knew she would never sell the car, so it wasn't an issue. All I can say is that the price is over £1600, but every car is different, depending on what you want. Dawns was the first aerodeck the company has ever done, and the only civic m they've had that had the colour combination that Dawn decided on. Most go for the inner bits of the seat in colour, or the wee side bits like an mgzs, but dawn wanted to be different so got the outer sections done in colour. Give Transcal UK a call mate and see what they can do for you, really nice friendly staff and very helpful. Even got a designer there to help you out too. Mentions Dawns deck so they know the exact Honda Civic you have (I'm sure they'll remember Dawn, she had them in stitches when she visited! (just realized the pun there!! lol)
  20. Love the VTiS decks, and deffo getting a bit rare now, especially in that condition. Nice one mate!
  21. Looking tidy Mr B! The cree sidelight bulbs are amazing eh!? Got them in Ruby, Dawns deck and also Lexy! Wouldn't go past them, so much better then oem bulbs!
  22. Looks really cool with the wheels and now lowered mate! Interior was a bargain, and looks mint. Regarding the Rover "decks", they were never produced by Rover (no funds as usual) so the ones you see were created from Honda Civic Aerodeck shells, which a few Rover workers bought for themselves. They did the front end swap, same as you're thinking of. You'd need to replace the whole front end, including the front panel and slam panel, along with the other bits you mentioned. Lot of work, but can be done. Personally, I prefer the look of the civic to the rover/mg, but each to their own. Thats the beauty of the M's, you can have a free reign on the styling, as they're not restricted to one particular style of modding (unlike other civics, which tend to be JDM only or get laughed at/scorned!) so the skys the limit!
  23. Lots of stuff you can do mate, decrhome headlights is a popular mod with the M's. Lower always looks better, even if it's only a little lower. Choice of front lips from either the VTi or VTiS, or you could mod something else to fit, just to be really different. Then there's VTiS side skirts, or MGZS ones fit too. You could go for full leather interior or half leather from another M (ES and VTi/VTiS models respectively) or go for TypeR seats. Aftermarket seats look good too! Alloys are a personal choice, as is size. If they're on 15's, and you want to keep the 15' size, there's plenty of options. I've still got 15's on my mb6, and it looks sweet. My wifes deck has 16's now, but did have 15's before. It started on 14's though, which are imo too small, especially for the deck. Just make sure you do the mods to your mrs car too to avoid the ear bashing!! lol
