Yeah, and don't you just hate the little comment that usually follows when an mb6 is broken for its engine........Putting the b18 in a "real civic! " Retards! If it was a real civic, it would have had a b18 in it from the start! lol Is sad to see the mint ones being scrapped though.

lol, tell me about it. A lot of really mint M's getting broken on ebay nowadays. Lucky for us we have our own breaker in the forum (1000rpm), so it's not all bad. At least we get all the parts we need at a decent price. But yeah, I'm the same, could spend all day rumaging around a breakers!! Some of the smashed cars you see make you think how the hell did anyone get out of them! Oh meant to add, anyone looking for any M bits near edinburgh, Sports car breakers at newbridge have a deck in, and two or three 5 doors. No engines in any of them, mainly body parts/interior parts left, plus suspension/brakes etc.

Another wee update! Been to the breakers today, as I needed to get the centre console for ruby due to the damage caused on her own one. Forgot how much of a pain these are to get out, the two screws at the handbrake being a huge pain in the ass! 4 Civics later and I finally got one out! Then it turns out it's not the console I need, it's the heater surround! So had to take it out, then use an torque bit to remove the controls so I could get it out of the car!! Huge pain! Now i have that to look forward to all over again when i remove Rubys fecked bit! lol Also picked up the rear arch rubber protector strips. A lot of people don't like these, but I think that if our civics didnt have them from new, there would hardly be any MB's left on the road as the rears would be rotten! They stop the paint on the arch lips from getting stone chipped, which rusts quickly. When Ruby came back, her arch trims were gone, so got good set today. As long as you keep them clean, and take them off every few months to clean out, the arches last a lot longer. Also picked up some other parts for one of our members across in France (Mae) so will get them posted off asap too. So all in all, a productive little day!

cheers chaps! Yeah, makes the front look so much better! So happy to find her so clean behind the scenes so to speak, will make turning her into a show car so much easier and worthwhile. B) Yeah mate, deffo keeping Sexy Lexy! Ruby and DeeDee will live in the new garage, while the FN takes on the daily driving duties. Actually loving the FN now that I know Ruby is back where she belongs! lol I'll bring Lexy to a meet too sometime

So, been busy today! Decided to do some work on Ruby this morning seeing as the sun was out. Had bought a replacement set of front fogs from fleabay, so thought it was time I got the old ones out and the new ones in!! This is the first rime I've actually changed fog lights on an MB, and thought it would just be the same as when I fitted them to my MA8 civic. So removed the front bumper not realizing you can replace them with the bumper in place! Bugger! Never mind, was a good chance to examine the front end on her for any possible signs of rust. So was well pleased to find she's absolutely mint behind the bumper! Front panel, chassis legs etc are all like new! Not a spot of rust anywhere! Couldnt believe just how good the paintwork still is on the front panel! Look at the reflection!!! So removed the old fogs, which I had made repair lenses for from the plastic lense inside an old set of headlights. The lense looked like it had melted, but found it was only the yellow film that I put on them that had melted!! Didnt realize the bad shape my old fogs were in though, totally shot! So with them in the bin, I got the new ones fitted and tested. What a difference to see her with new foggies! Looks so much better! It's worked out great, because I'd already bought a set of mb6 fogs for her before I sold her, so they didnt get fitted. Means that both Ruby and DeeDee have both got mint fog lights, and I have a spare set on stand by incase they get damaged. Job done!

Sweet looking deck mate. Love them in white, shows of the shape nicely. Yeah it can be a bugger doing jobs on them when your M's a daily driver. I used to dread doing any big jobs, cause 9 times out of 10 a bolt or something would snap/get rounded and stuck, and it would mean rushing about trying to get a replacement! I'm lucky now that my two M's are both weekend toys that are getting turned into show cars.

lol yeah, a complete twat. I too was amazed how much has been fooked about with in the short time he had her. And talk about lies! He even posted on FB that he had a new windscreen fitted to her.................lie! It's still the same screen, even has the wee scratch where I tried to wash off bird poo and it marked the screen! Why lie about it?? And he said he bought and fitted MGZS suspension???? Must have waved fairy dust on the bolts as none have been touched by the look of it, and suspension still looks like factory MB6 to me. Even sits at the same height as before, whereas MGZS would have dropped her a bit. Will have her ready for Crazzzydawns Memorial meet though, she'll be as good as new again! Oh and yeah, brems banned!

Saw this on FB! Well done mate!!

I'd have to differ here and advise that the closest match size wise is 195/50/16. Dawns deck is running the 195/45/16's just now, and I'll be changing the tyres to 50's when the time comes. Just personal preference really mate. The wheels will look top banana on it!!!

I toyed with the idea of an MB3 on a lot of occassions. Great wee M's! And amazing fuel economy!

Ok, so whats been happening to Ruby lately? Not a lot as it happens, but removed more crap fitted by guy I sold her to! He had removed the two blanks where the air con & recirculation buttons were and fitted (using the term fitted rather loosely here) a pull out cup holder from a VW. The problem with it was you couldnt use it to hold anything whilst driving! Too near the gearshift, and had to be closed to change gear! Plus it had been really crudely fitted (had been told it was held in by two self tapping screws, turns out it was just glued in! The lies this guy spins he should be on jackanory!) It had been really badly carbon wrapped )all folded at the edges and joined in the middle!) so it had to go. After much buggering about, got it out. Went to fit two switches (these are oem heated seat switches for when ruby gets her retrim same as Dawns deck, going to be getting heated elements in the seats!) and it turns out he's not only cut out the middle bit of plastic which seperates the switches, but he's also filed most of the plastic down to fit the stupid VW part! So now switches have no where to clip into. Meaning I now have to remo0ve the whole centre console where the heater etc is, and replace that plastid part with another one. Totally pissed off that Ruby has been hacked about like this, bloody waste of a great car. I'll get her fixed though! Just gonna be more time consuming doing jobs that I really shouldn't have to be doing.

Wholly shit!! I need to tweak a few buttons!!

It's a pain in the ass trying to keep the 3 of them clean. Got trees in the garden, and they're constantly dropping tree sap on them. Hence the need for the garage!! Wish the planning was through! Once that's built, will be a doddle to look after 3 lush Hondas!
