    FN2 TypeR

Exactly, got all the vtec I need with Ruby! But for anyone thinking about the TypeR, if you don't mind a really stiff suspension set up, go for it! The sound from it , even standard, is wicked!!!!

Too right mate. One hella big smile on my face each time i gave it beans! The sales guys pretty good, just lets me boot the crap out of it so i get a true impression of what its like. He just sits there laughing! lol
  4. So been busy today. Time to get the damage the twat did to the dashboard sorted out. For those who don't know, he hacked the centre console that houses the air con button/recirculation buttons to bits to fit (i use the word "fit" loosely) a vw cupholder. Very poor mod, and badly fitted. Looked awful. So, repairing this meant renewing the whole heater control housing. Removed the armrest and centre console, and during this found another botch up! When I bought her back, he told me he'd "fitted" *see, there's that word again!) a new gearknob. This was because he thought the oem VTiS one was "chavy looking"! So he threw it in the bin. He then bought a Ripspeed one to replace it! So removed it to get the console off and found this........ the knobs new knob obviously didn't fit, so he did that to the gearstick! cotton wool rapped in his favourite bodge tool, black sticky tape! I kid you not, he must have used a whole role of it!! Fecking retard! So, with that removed, I got the console out The on to remove the heater control panel. This proved to be a right pain in the arse! Trying to remove the switches from the panle so that the panel itself can be removed is really difficult, as there isnt much room to remove the torx screws that hold each switch in place Once removed, the old and new panels together. Here you can see the bits that have been cut away, then the rest of it filed back. What a waste! I've also got a new DAB ariel to fit, which is a film one that goes on the front screen. Got it fitted, and most of the wiring routed. Thought I might aswell do it while everything is in bits. I've since got the new heater controls panel fitted, and the controls re-fitted to it. I'll get more pics tomorrow, as she's still lying there in bits! Got too dark, and i got fed up! lol So far, to fix this bit of damage (and fit the dab) has taken me 2 and a half hours! Fecking fiddly job indeed. Be glad when she's back together! lol. Will update this tomorrow.

lol that man he speaks the truth! Been thinking about it, and yeah, you're right! Vtec is indeed addictive, so would end up vtecing it all the time. Which would have the knock on effect of zero fuel consumption and a possible driving ban!! Was fecking awsome though, the way it delivered the power was really smooth, but totally rapid! Downsides: Clutch was like pushing against a wall! And it was either on or off, so in traffic it was a bit of a paint and jerky. Apparently, most are like that. The ride. The ride tbh is just too bloody stiff, about the only thing I would agree with Mr Clarkson about. I thought Lexy was too stiff, but this, bloody hell, it would be unbearable on a daily basis with the roads I have to go on. And even though it was stiffer than lexy, it didnt handle any better than her. I've kinda been up against one with Lexy, and cornering wise Lexy was there all the way. Obviously up the straights, it's offsky! But Lexy, although stiff, is comfy enough even on the bumpiest of roads. The other downside of the TypeR being so stiff, is that every panel seems to have loosened off with it! Meaning tons of rattles and squeaks! The dash. Although almost the same as Lexy, it's all in red. It isn't anywhere near as clear and easy to read as Lexy's whose are in oel white/blue. And there has been issues with the red instrument dash packing in. Fuel economy for what would be my daily runner. TypeR at most on a motorway run 32mpg. About town (and this was indicated on the info dial during test drive) 20mpg! Lexy around town: 40mpg. On a motorway run......around 50mpg! Road tax is also cheap for Lexy, TypeR is like mega expensive. Price! Trading Lexy in for it works out like this...... Miles on lexy :19.000 TypeR: 37.000 Lexy year of man: late 2011. TypeR late 2009 Lexy cost me: £11.800 + £300 for boot spoiler TypeR cost :£11.999 Trade in for me....... £9.500 - £10.000. Meaning it'll cost me 3 grand to go for an older model with a lot more miles than mine And means i've lost aorund 3 grand on Lexy in roughly 4 months????? WTF???? So thought about it and thought............................................ta feck wi that!!! lol On driving Lexy home, found it so much nicer to be in than that one. Oh, and I found out a while ago I can easily loose my licence with Lexy too............at the "track" had her up at 129mph so far!! And got there relatively quickly too. So guess I'll hang on to her for now. She's got the TypeR looks already, just not the power. TypeR alloys or Volk TE alloys for her next me thinks.

    FN2 TypeR

In at honda just now getting lexys air con sorted, and got speaking to neal in service and steve who sold me the typeS. Managed to bag a test drive in one of their typeR fn2s! Wanted to see the diff between mine and that. Wholly fook! What a bit of kit! Gave it beans on the motorway, and also on the twisty stuff, and the power is awsome! Handling wise, id say the same as my TypeS, although mine is a bit better over rough roads. Now i have a dilema! Do i go for one or not! Lol Prob not, as it would be the daily runner, but nice to finally get to drive one. Big thanks to the guys at western honda for letting me drive it!
  7. haha! yeah, I'm gonna put them into a body shop to be done mate! Need to get her front/rear lip done too, along with Dawns front lip. Bloody stone chips!
  8. Pics.........this time lets see......Well it's a box! Wanna see whats inside the box??? Do ya? Do Ya?....................... Well get yer own effing box! lol Ok, lets open it.... a box of stickers?????? wahhhhhhhhhhh! I've been diddled! Ahhhh, there they are!...... mmmmmmmmmm! I'm gonna go sit and stroke them for a few hours! lmao Will be a bit longer before I can get them fitted though, but hopefully for the meet!
  9. what??? you want a picture of the delivery van??? LMFAO!
  10. Ok mate, I'll go and reset the voting system. Thought it might have been a quick way to do it but my bad!! lol
  11. Righty oh! Finally got round to taking a couple of pics of how she stands now........ This is before the alloys and grill were restored to former status! And then the fully white stiletto treatment (all 4 done now!) You can see the grill is now back to chrome too, which seems to lift the looks along with the wheels. The black grill (matt black ) and some horrid shade of grey wheels really looked dull and boring. I'm pleased she's back to how she was before i sold her!
  12. Really like this MB! You've done a lot of good work there mate, and the white wheels look immense on this colour of MB (maybe I'm biased lol) Really hope you get her fixed so the modding can continue
  13. As the title says, we have a dead heat in the competition this month! If you haven't voted already, now's the time to get your vote in for one of the two stunning aerodecks in the competition. Vote now before the poll ends!! To view the cotm, click here >>>>>>> CIVIC5 CAR OF THE MONTH JULY 2013.......DEAD HEAT! 2 STUNNING HONDA CIVIC AERODECKS!!
  14. lol Dawn will kick my ass if I do that mate, but think maybe a bit lower will be allowed. Maybe wind her down a bit more if she's on the civic5 stand at any shows! And both her and Ruby will deffo be at a lot of the future shows, that's they're role in life now! Show queens! On saying that, decided to take Ruby to work yesterday to stretch her legs a bit, then from there down to the cemetery to see Dawn, so a good 35 - 40 mile round trip!
  15. bloody hell! that was quick!! mine not here yet, but wasnt expecting them to be yet anyways. Exactly mate! Think she would like it, and will go well with all the powder coating/painting thats planned for underneath her deck
  16. Correcto mundo! Getting them for Ruby. If I really like them, and the ride is good, I'll be investing in set for Dawns deck too.
  17. Yeah, even with the bad weather, it was a really brilliant place to visit, the roads were mad!!! Deffo going back there for another meet! Can't believe how the new alloys have changed Dawns deck, really suits them mate!
  18. lol I is the trendsetter! Done mate! Thats made the bank account a bit lighter! I know, never again will she leave my sight! lol mesh with the chrome would look good imo. i do have plans to mod the grill, so watch this space!
  19. Done!! yaaaaaas!!! 1. Dave - Paid 2. Gilman - Paid 3.matty1 - Paid 4. Calster17 - Paid 5. Nikh25 - Paid
  20. Sorry guys, only just noticd this was a goer! I'll get this paid asap!
  21. I'll see what I can do mate!
  22. Now I'm a happy chappy! Finished the final alloy today, so Ruby is now wearing her White stilletos all round again! She's got her mojo back, and her identity! Also went and bought brand new fasteners/clips to replace all the ones that are missing in the boot, so that's all sorted too! Oh, and I changed the front grill, her original had been painted matt black during her time away from me, and the paint was chipped with the chrome showing through. TBH, I hated the black grill, with her colour, the balck just killed the look. Looked crap imo! So had a spare standard grill in the shed, so got that fitted today too. She's looking like her old self again! Will get some pics up tomorrow.
