Latest update...... took Dawns deck up to RJM Performance for it's MOT............................................................And she passed with flying colours! Was good to see Roy and Clive and the guys at RJM, but did feel rather sad to be there without Dawn, only her car. Think They both miss the banter they used to get with her too, as she loved going there. So, to brighten my day a little while the car was in getting done, Roy offered to take me out in the truck on a break down! lol Was good to get a wee run around the countryside, but don't ask me where we went to pick up the car as I was lost the minute we left the industrial estate! Had a really good chat with Roy, and Clive was on the coffee duties when we got back so alls good. They were showing me the latest equipment theyve invested in, the four wheel alignement machine that uses cameras and laser to get it all bang on. Top bit of kit, so gonna get Dawns deck booked in for a proper wheel alignement when it's in for it's service. So happy she passed, as I'm sure Dawn will be too. Nice to know her Decks in such good health!

Sweet deck mate. Think I would have stuck with 8j for the rear too, just my preference though. Love how the steering wheel/seat etc all tie in with the colour of the car. One of the best colours that (but maybe I'm biased! lol)

Dave replied to PsychoDogBeast's topic in Chat Lounge
Nice car James, love them in that colour, one of the best imo. Who bought cindy? Wish I'd known she was up for grabs, so regretted selling Ruby (to the point I've even asked her new owner if he'll sell her back to me) Good luck with the new M mate! -
sounds good to me! whe you thinking off? Remember, free hotel this time

ell, after 7 weeks, Lexy is finally back from hondas bodyshop. She's looking top dollar so far, but will be checking over the next couple of days. Heres a couple of pics, complete with a few mods I'd got for her!! The new leather gator with white stitching to match the rest of the interior. got the new red mudflaps fitted all round too, each with the type s logo on them. These were a bit expensive for what they are/do, but the quality of them is really high. Even the brackets/plates are all stainless steel, and theres a really good fitting kit with them too Hope you all like.

Thanks mate. Yeah, keeping the deck is like keeping part of Dawn, so it really is a nice way of helping to cope with things. Just hope she approves of the mods! Think she will, cos it's the mods she wanted to do herself. I'll soon know about it if there's something she doesn't like! Driving the deck to the location for the photos made me realize why she loved it so much. It drives like the day it left the factory, so smooth and just spot on. Will get better photos soon, and see about getting the next few mods done.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys, know Dawn loved her deck getting attention! Still to get the go-ahead with the garage, but hoping to make progress soon, so she'll be locked up nice and safe. Thanks for that mate, nice to be appreciated. To be honest, this club and all you members have been a massive strength to both Dawn and myself, when she was going through her illness. We've met so many nice, friendly and genuine people at the meets through civic5, and also through the forum itself. We deffinately made a lot of new friends for life. So thanks to all of you for your support through this saddest part of my life (and Dawns) really do appreciate it

Wee update on Dawns deck. Dawn had always wanted deep dished rims on her deck, with a kinda multispoke design. Towards the end of last year, when she was home from hospital, she arranged to buy a nice set of Cades from Rob (kyekye09). Well, a little later than planned, she's finally got them! Big thanks to Rob and his Mrs Louise for holding on to these for us for so long, appreciate it mate. Went and got them all fitted today, and loving the look! I know most members will say "needs lowered", but that was the one thing Dawn never ever wanted to do to her deck. For practical reasons, and also for the fact she just didnt fancy lowered cars! So she'll be staying on the standard suspension set up, just as Dawn intended. Dawn just got new springs fitted last year too, so would be a shame to swap them out. Anyways, will let the photos do the talking! Got a few more goodies coming for her too, that Dawn always wanted for the deck! Also getting blue anodized wheel nuts from Rob when he finds them, which will set the wheels off nicely. Just wish Dawn had still been here to see them on the car, but know she's watching and will be loving it's shiney new boots! Love you babe x x x

Tidy looking deck mate. Not see this one around, but recognise the block of flats in the background of the first photo. I'm through your area quite a bit visiting a mate (bladerider929 on here) so will watch out for ya! Liking the wheels, not seen them on the deck before

lmao at the john major spitting image! Yeah, I hate the newer version, looks total crap. No idea whats with the huge lights at the rear, or the daft wee bits of plastic stuck to the rear quarters! And theyve changed the interior/dash, and it looks bloody pants!

Well, thought I better make a start on Ruby (my old MB6) replacement. I actually bought this without really looking for one of these! Was originally looking for an EP2, but fell across this on the local Honda dealerships forecourt!...... Lexy! She's a 2011 Honda Civic Type S-GT, in milano red. Test drive over, I was hooked! Really nice car to drive, so quiet and comfy! Obviously not gonna be as fast as Ruby, but with 138bhp (I think) she's no slouch either. Fuel economy is bloody amazing! Being the GT model, the spec is cool too. Full glass panoramic roof with electric blinds front/rear. Cruise control. Dual climate control. Air con. Air conned glovebox. tidy head unit with full iPod control. USB socket. Sports seats (half cloth/suede) alloy pedals air bags chuffing everywhere! I'll get some more pics up when I get time. I like cars with an interesting history, and she's no exception. 1 previous owner, Honda Swindon! Shes a factory lass! lol And typical me, I had the first mod (even though I said I wouldn't be modding her) done before she even left the showroom! Got the rear spoiler bought from and fitted by Honda before I picked her up! Also got a few more goodies bought for her, but will keep them under wraps until fitted. Sadly, I've only owned her for about 3 weeks, and haven't even seen her for over a week now! She's currently back at Honda, because I found a few flaws with her paintwork that I wasn't happy about. And you know how fussy I am about my cars! So she's in their bodyshop. They are now awaiting someone from Honda Swindon to come up and inspect the paint, because being a Honda approved car she should be perfect. The fact she's had some paintwork attention (that in my opinion was poorly done) they are actually carrying out an investigation into why this has happened. The dealership had no idea, and it wasn't noted anywhere (except to say Honda had had some stone chip damage repaired before she was sent up here for sale) so they now want to know why their own bodyshop have carried out a substandard refinishing job! Pee's me off, because I would prefer them to just bloody fix it and let me be on my way, and them to carry out investigations in their own time, not mine! Still, they gave me a brand new civic to kick about in till she's back. And I hate it. It's gutless, it looks like a turd, and I hate driving it! Honda have ruined the FN with the new facelifted one. It's ugly, and the interior sucks! Can't wait to get Lexy back!
-
pmsl! I was actually looking at EP2's! Then saw Lexy and that was it. On saying that, havent seen Lexy for over a week now. She's back in Honda, regarding a few flaws I found in the paintwork. Pees me off tooling about in a new honda civic 5 door, aint quite the same as the 5 door civics I know! And actusally regretting selling Ruby! Bloody knew I would!

Hard one to relocate bud. You could possibly move it to somewhere else, but as said, you'll lose the steering lock (insurance probs won't be very happy as its even easier to steal) and you'll need to extend all the wiring. It can be done, but at a cost.
