strictly speaking you should also buy a new nut for the top of the shaft, even after its torqued on it still comes loose. dont worry as i did'nt .. honda-bond on the case seals the lot. dont forget to lign up the stopper ring brake item no 9. or the case wont go on http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_ca ... k_03=17432

make sure the friction damper is put in the right way.. there is no harm in cleaning all the diss-assembled parts with kerosene, a good brush and dipped in MTF when re-installing. now would be a good time to put in M-Factory synchros. NEVER crunch

you now need to get a laptop and download a chrome fee software. get your p28 plugged in via datalogging cable. presuming yours is equipped for this and tune/adjust your idle in properly. this synchronises the mechanical screw adjustment on the throttlebody to the ecu set parameters/reading. the rev gauge will be out and is not accurate enough.

hmm. done some research >>> quote M-factory.>> If you're fitting an oem 4.785, then you will also need the oem '98 spec ITR 1st gear, collar and 2 piece needle bearing.... explains why the 1st gear may not fit over the collar.

i used a big 17mm nut send the bolt through the LCA then install the washer then slide the ARB droplink on to the bolt. install your washer over this then the tightening nut. you can fit a washer either side of the droplink to stop the rubber from spewing out. previously the bottom droplink rubber was really distorted due to incorrect/over tension. now its bang on got to be a little movement to allow suspension to work

exactly as you said pal. drop links at 90degrees. made a good difference

not myn pics but you get the jist

HELL NO another MGZS arb subject . looking at it under a MOT inspection pit today i realised the ARB is under too much stress. if you remove the bolts going through the LCA's and allow the droplinks/ARB to relax youll notice compared to the bolts in there is a huge difference .... in effect what we have done is clamped the rear chasis down on to the LCA'a and retricted movement of the damper/spring.....hence i did a little mod which makes the ride much bearable and reduces the chassis stress on the L brackets just between the LCA and droplink install a 15mm spacer. intall longer bolts. this will allow the suspension to work independently and not distort the inner rubber of the droplink..... where as before it had been distorted the weight of the chassis was being brought down hard as the car went over a pothole hence really stressing the ARB and brackets. after all the L brackets are only mounted on thin metal. think of it as previously the ARB was forcing the LCA to the chassis, now the pre-tension would be correct. pics to follow

Seriously urgent help on brakes :) ( keep warping )
weetec replied to JORDEN_MB6's topic in Brakes and alloys

can you not get an impact gun, use its speed to whip the nut off?
-
the skirts i would paint satin black to match the side plastics. maybe the splitters too. you can allways just vinyl wrap them for now
-
exactly what i mentioned above
-
no no... send it back. there will be no play/movement allowed when fitted. is it an ebay special? my friend approx 6 months ago bought a 4-1 manifold and beleive it or not the flange which bolts to the engine was not flat . kept wondering and thought the piston had gone or something. since it had been so long after he bought it he couldnt return it. he was not too bothered and got half the money back. thats a joke.

i dont think these M civic racks have an inner rod end. i think its part of the rack. outer track rod end and thats it.
-
funny isnt it........ bigger dc2 damper soft spring V MG smaller damper stiff spring.

a clear difference youll find speed bumps etc a joy to drive over. good even sensible drop, practicle
