  1. What happened to the other to speed thread from years ago - can't find it?
  2. That was my first car, used to bool up and down to Leicester in it when i was at uni. Used to be happy around 80, until the big hills when I'd be mixing it with the trucksin the crawler Lane Got to 100 down a very big Hill on a private road and the shaking and screaming was scary
  3. Just a little catch up update now I'm unarchived. tubs had her 3rd timing belt change a few weeks ago. Belt, pulley, and water pump, as well as usual service stuff and valve clearances. Mate didn't have time to get the new o2 sensor on, or the cam plug, so will be going back soon for those and hopefully new fuel feed line (if any of our traders ever get their pms) and a new fuel filler hose. Also need a new caliper (again ) and need to get my p28 turned into a p72 and installed.
  4. Hi Apart from the damage, the paintwork looks in really good condition
  5. Ace work with the wheels nick, Shane that you're having a bit of bother with the lip though - car's looking sweet though
  6. a bit delayed, but some steamy wagon stuffing action filth:
  7. Loving the new wheels chief And bummer for the windscreen, I finally had to change mine a few months ago, and got another little chip a couple of weeks later... So frustrating!
  8. Holy crap, that's more than twice what i paid! Although, mine was an auction that i stumbled across an hour or so before it finished with no other bidders.
  9. Out of iabs, but still in vtec.
  10. Bit more than that... Was taken aback by it coz i wasn't expecting it. Was still in vtec though
  11. Yeah, it's the 4.7 itr one... Great fun 4th gear is a treat now
  12. Just noticed it once really, and that was from right up in the revs in 4th, and it dropped out of the power, but that type of change is going to be pretty rare.
  13. Interior's looking ace krzys. The black door cards look so much better than that funky pattern. I don't know why car manufacturers spec such weird patterns for interiors
  14. Out of interest, what difference do you think that the cams made to the power band - did it move it up the revs?
  15. a bit of LED action on the dials really does freshen things up... the old style bulbs really look dated now I reckon. Just had to do an LED attack on the missus's tourer - has loads of interior lights (doors etc), and they made me sad everytime I saw their dull yellow glow
  16. really like the white details on the grill - it's different but still good contrast like the chrome.
  17. On another note, the fans seem to be a lot more powerful without all the gubbins slowing the air down
  18. Still got it but to be honest don't have a clue if it works or not... The air con hasn't worked since I've had the car. I always thought it just needed gassing, but don't know for sure.
  19. Just attacked the rest of the system. Battery and tray out to disconnect the rest of the pipes and whip them out (and strut brace off to get pipes out of the way), then glove box out to take the evaporater out and change the pollen filter at the same time. Another 3kg to add to the list. Now all that's left is the dryer bit that's near the screen wash bottle, coz i think the bumper had to come off to get t to it?
  20. Yep, can't believe how mild the winter's been! Not even much in the way of ice or even frost... Still, there's been plenty of sub 7 degrees mornings for the winter tyres to be more effective. Need to get mine changed back soon...
