  1. Is it a ratchet one that came with some ratchet spanners?
  2. What was it that broke Jake?
  3. Been a productive week mate
  4. Sweet.. Liking the wheels as well
  5. that's about the same for me I reckon - deffo did one side first and needed a bit of man-handling (steady Tom... )
  6. and nice view too I'm hanging on to my winters for a bit as well, not that we're likely to get any snow, but there's still frost / ice in the long range forecast. Even though I could smell rubber and had warm tyres when I got out at work the other morning . I'd been taking it easy as well because they felt a bit skitey coz of the temps.
  7. nice one Jake.. .propper modifying
  8. probably about 9 or 10 years ago now...
  9. actually, I did quite like it...
  10. just realised my error (apart from buying it in the first place).. I meant 309... it was white.. like this: but without the spoiler.
  11. Moto GP starts up again this weekend though
  12. This is true about the eg stuff being more likely to fit, but my rear strut brace was sold as being eg/ek so would have thought that you'd be okay? How much do you mean by out by miles? I had to use a bit of force to get the holes to line up with the bolts. I'm sure that kink had the same with his.
  13. Well, my first car was a 954cc 205, so the 306 was kind of familiar!
  14. properly gutted. that set off a bit of a dodgy car history - 1.6 J reg cavilier with the best reg ever (J460 CUM) which I found didn't have an air filter in when I went to change it... explains the clouds of black smoke that used to belch out of it! in the end it got scrapped because of the longest MOT fail list ever (they had to write on the back of the sheet). next up was a 1.4 pug 306 (though it did have a lush momo steering wheel) that I ran until the clutch went, then scrapped it (but didn't retrieve the wheel - DOH!). then I got a 1.8 Carina with 190k on the clock, which was mint for covering the 350 miles a week I was doing on the commute, and had a HUGE boot. Eventually the o2 sensor went which was going to cost £400 to sort (only paid £300 for the car). I went to look at a volvo at the garage to trade the Carina in, but saw the deck and then the VTI sign, and then googled it and here I am. test drive sold it all day
  15. have promised the boy to go to some races this year - probs head to Croft for BTCC and BSB. did anyone watch the thing about the history of the British touring cars on ITV 4 - was pretty cool, especially when it got to the era that I really remember with Volvo estates, mondeos, accords etc... you know, when they were cars that you could go touring in, rather than hatches.
  16. K&N for me too. Could tell a difference in sound (before the exhaust got louder) - especially when we stuck one on karen's 1.4 ep... had much more of a throaty noise to it.
  17. it was for a sharp bend ended up being scrapped, after all sorts of banger racing / farm buggy plans never happening. sad... loved that car.
  18. I wrapped a warning sign around it a little bit...
  19. found some pics of the old girl after she'd been garaged for years. exhaust was nuts!
  20. eg one fits too (with a very small amount of persuasion)
  21. wheels will look cool chief... that police chase sounds mint. I'm imagining that guy off world's wildest police videos or whatever it's called.. "look at this joker playing with the law... but it's the troopers who had the last laugh, straight to jail "
  22. yummy That sort of treatment on the tourer would be spaff-tastic bet that those pipes make some lovely music as well...
