  1. Finally got around to deciding what to do for wheels for karen's tourer, and got some 17s off a 8th gen civic off eBay for summer wheels, which has unlocked me being able to get some tyres for mine... Cue cleaning my wheels and the new ones ready for getting tyres sorted and fitting... No more winter tyres - yey!
  2. Most b series gear ratios here http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/temp/Bgears.htm And s9 ratios here http://cars.homenetcs.co.uk/honda-civic-mb6/modifications-gearbox.htm
  3. That's poo... Wonder if it's too stop people buying parts cheaper and by passing hondas parts suppliers
  4. Are you sure bud? Uk is still an option in the drop down list for placing an order?
  5. It would really. It's just S80s don't seem to go for much less than 600 on eBay (or at least didn't at the time), and I'm sure i remember @weetec saying that the rest of the ratios were also a killer in fuel consumption? Better acceleration though The ls 5th gear swap is something that is done on the tegs in the states.
  6. Which one is that, autodynamics for the fd kit, or Acura parts online?
  7. Generally 5th is fine - pretty much the same as before to be honest. The main thing I've noticed is i can do 60 at a touch under 3k, where before it was around 56 at 3k.
  8. Out of interest, I've worked out that I'd need to change up from 4th at pretty much 110, and the effective ratio with the longer 5th and fd I've got is only a few rpms lower than the s9b 5th is. So you can get an idea of the rev drop.
  9. I've just received 2 rears from here, i emailed them 3 times just to make sure that the price already included the surcharge. They've got pretty solid feedback as well, so thought at that price is worth a punt (especially since I've already had to change callipers twice).
  10. Welcome back chief, glad you've got yourself a deck
  11. I'm running 15s at the mo coz I've still got my winter tyres on but i normally have 17s. The 15s do feel quicker to accelerate, but feel a bit more flighty, and i like the feeling of grip that the 17s give... Harder to turn the wheel, but nice. I think that all things being equal, 16s would be the best compromise.
  12. Yeah, that's why I don't want to do the iab delete. There's obviously some benefit to be had from the change in length that the butterflies opening as the revs increase, and don't fancy losing any low-mid grunt. I just want to give it a try on a base map to see how it goes so I'll know better for when i get it properly mapped.
  13. Good choice of car seat sir
  14. I want mine to come in around 4.7k - any more than that and I'm giving it beans, any less than that and chances are I'm just cruising. I'm sure @burbleboy had his vtec and iab matched?
  15. Ha ha, that was the wife from the passenger seat Probably explains some of the shaking
  16. Yeah, in the power bit too. But all the weight in the back and the speed meant the front end was feeling a bit too light for comfort.
  17. genuine autobahn photo with a deck chock-full of camping gear for a euro road trip... got up to 135 before backing out.
