  1. I feel for you mate, that sucks, the jacks are shockingly bad and not really fit for purpose. Like you my car is low so I need to use it but all I do is get it a couple of inches higher so I can get the trolley jack under the front. On the plus side at least you weren't underneath it when it went. Dials are nice.
  2. I've got quite wet recently over c63 amg estates I'd have that over my civic x2, Definitely the best bit of this mornings F1 qualifying was listening to the med car testing the track.
  3. Awesome, what I would give for a garage like that, engine bay transformation is stunning. I'm just coming back to using Autoglym products been trying others some good, some not so good.

I'd get new ones they're not expensive. http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID003099
  5. Have you tried window shopping, that's great fun as you have no intention of buying you can rag the t1ts off them and hand back to the dealer stinking of clutch and tyre smoke and say, nah, not for me.
  6. I was thinking of putting mine back on last week as it was in double figures before the weekend and then snow Mon-Thurs. Car is looking great.
  7. Are you an architect.
  8. Niccccceee i will look forward to the photo's so one to use and one to sell on??? Yes, hopefully will pay for the cost of the spare and some of the paint too. Free modding ftw.
  9. You sure, you know you're going to have to change your whole engine bay now it could save you some trouble. I finished painting mine this afternoon, it's drying on the kitchen table atm, the misses hasn't stopped moaning about the smell since she got in. winkle red? or flat red??? Good on ya doing it yourself Wrinkle red and it's turned out pretty well for my first attempt at painting in years, when it's dried enough to rub the writing down I'll upload the photys and then paint the other one.
  10. Nice one James, how was the Autoglym experience??

  12. Check out the detailing thread, James has put some good links and videos in there, mostly page 4 I think:http://www.civic5.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=7777 Also Detailingworld: http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ is really good for picking up tips and ideas from basics to full paint correction. As Chandler says it is pretty simple but it's important to get the basics right.
  13. I'll add my vote for red, although white would be my second choice.
  14. It doesn't need to be a vti, any early M will have the right clips, unfortunately the middle seatbelt in the earlier models is a lap belt only, although I don't know if you can fit a three point belt but it looks like you'd have to take the seat apart to do it.
  15. I still can't decide about those mirrors, I think I would be:
  16. Wheels look good in white but you definitely need to do the mirrors now. Bargain vtis lip and skirts and yes you'll need the clips for the rear seats from an earlier car, any m will do as long as it has the seatbelt buckles that clip into the seats instead of just swinging free.
  17. You must've confused them all by putting in a non ford engine.
  18. What a star, I'd never get my misses under the car.
  19. i've got a set you could borrow too, not too sure about distance tho! Two offers from opposite ends of the country! I have a spare set you could borrow too but I'm right down south too, seems like we're all hoarding them down here.
  20. Good progress there chap, not keen on the blue bits tbh, prefer black, new 15's look really smart though.
