Well finally got round to fitting a replacement ABS sensor last night. Went on easy enough, fired her up and the light was off Drove to the end of the road and it comes back on Started her up today it was off Half way to work, comes back on Not sure what to do, my friend at the garage said you can plug something in to the ABS sensor plug to see if that's where the fault lies, cant remember what its called though a somethingascope!? Will get it sorted at some point... Anyway here's an obligatory photo up on the lift

Are you getting Phil to fit the kit or are you fitting it yourself and getting him to fit the pipework? I was checking out your mates motor last time i was there, he was adapting the pipework to fit that big a*s turbo!
-
I'm currently using plain EBC disks with redstuff pads. They have been in since early 2011, done 2 track days and they get constant abuse on the roads! Was considering replacing them but checked them out last week and there is still plenty of life left in them

Nice to see another Deck in the fold, Welcome to the forum

Sounds like its gonna be a beast mate! I will get there one day... Have i seen that silver Almera up at Phil's? If so then that turbo is huge! I'm gonna follow this thread closely

I like the idea of keeping my AC that's why i'm more keen on that kit than most of the others...
-
Sweet I've been giving it some serious thought, I wont be able to do it just yet though as we're looking at buying a house.... This is the kit I want - http://www.go-autoworks-store.com/gostkit.html Along with some RC 550cc injectors and a Walbro 255 fuel pump all controlled by a Hondata S300 and AEM wideband. Going to keep the engine standard so will only be running low boost, wanting around the 300bhp mark, that'll be more than enough
-
So yea, I'm happy
-
Not sure to be honest, would have to ask... Would be handy for sure, especially if i dropped on some cheap type r cams Bad thoughts already...
-
I agree, It is high. Just wanted to get it done to optimize it for all the bolt on goodies. Will definitely be getting a S300 and a wideband in the future, that way i can map it myself, just need to learn... Cant be spending that sort of cash every time i change something

Sweet, they are deffo going on the mod list then

What a lovely little EG! My first civic was a EG Esi when i was 19 (a long time ago ) always wanted a b18 in it! I'm kinda tempted to offer a deal with mine, not really practical for the family though....
-
I agree its a little steep but its cheaper than most places charge for a full remap and Rich seems to know his stuff. At the end of the day the car feels much nicer to drive so i'm happy
-
Gonna be wanting a set of these soon One question though, have they been through and passed an MOT yet?

Funny that, on the way back last night i went to put it in 5th when i was already in 5th thinking i was in 4th cos of how hard it was pulling Need a 6th gear!
-
Its usually £300 for a full remap but if you've had a power run recently they knock of the cost of that so £270 Shame they don't stack, would of been £210 then Been out for a hoon this morning and i'm very impressed with it. Trying to decide what to do next!? Suspension and wheels maybe....
-
You can see the how rich it was running on the base map in the previous picture. Here is the finished result on its own - No more tuning now until i can afford a decent turbo set up
-
Picked my car up this evening Feels much more lively, more eager throughout the rev range and the vtec engagement feels seamless! Only made 3bhp more peak on the final map but feels much better all round It did make 189 during tuning but was getting a bit too lean! I'm happy with the end result. Here's a comparison to the H-tune base map that was on it -
-
Nope, didn't quote any figures, don't blame him though... Cant imagine i will gain too much in the way of peak bhp, just want a nice power curve with no flat spots and hopefully better mpg
