  1. I run 5w40 fully and it's not touched a drop so far. 10w 40 semi is what honda recommends though. You probably burned some due to the crapness of comma oil
  2. Good luck getting the steering wheel off mate. Gaitor looks great
  3. Should be ok to drive mate, just take it steady. Have you got a speak plug socket? They are slightly thinner walled than a normal socket and I've used the in the past to whack off locking wheel nuts.
  4. Can always resort to whacking on a socket mate. Not pretty but it does work.
  5. Exactly. I get the driving past and seeing my tax out of date, but to then run it and find out it's obv a mistake and in fact I do have tax, but to then follow me for 10 minutes!!
  6. Gutted for you mate. Struggling to get what the one thing they're good for is though.
  7. Genuinely think this thread has jinxed me! Haven't been pulled over since coming back from Glasgow with my lancer, oct 2012m and get pulled this morning!! Coming back from dropping my girls off at a drama class, the road is full of the speed humps situated in the middle of the road, lowered cars worst nightmare lol, so I have to go through the middle of them both, copper coming the other way slows right down as I go past, pulls a u'y and then follows for about 2 miles, ha tried some late lane switching to double check and yes he was following me. As I turn into my road, lights come on, gets out walks over 'you got any tax?' Ummm yes!! Turns out my darling 3yr old son had swapped an old disc to the front! Ha. My Q is though, he ran the plates got insurance etc, that would've told him that the car was taxed, why bother follow me for 2 miles!? Ha Then the comment as he's about to leave, 'she's very low isn't she' ha yes officer
  8. My dad is a retired policeman, definitely not naming him, but he had a GSXR for a number of years and several times got caught on the wrong end of a radar gun. But the lesson I learnt was that, if you have the balls to challenge them, (little different when your pulled over after they've been following you) if they catch you with a radar gun or a static, they often back down because of two things, 1 they don't have an accurate reading/footage or 2 it works out more expensive/time consuming to follow through. Needless to say he would've been banned had he not challenged them. He even got away being caught be a static because the nearby vegetation was partly blocking it and they have to be visible for 200 yards .. (Or something around that figure)
  9. I drove back from London tonight, bearing in mind mine is now sitting 4" from the floor, the wind wasn't half making me swerve! It's minging out there!
  10. Tell you what mate that looks great! I do like the decks with the bars but hmmmmm you have me thinking!!
  11. You do see alto of little sticker on vans like delivery vans and Royal Mail etc that they're limited to 60...
  12. On my last set of points, (id have been banned) I was caught doing 37 in a 30 and got the speed awareness course.
  13. Ha yeah I did read that. Made me chuckle! Nah she's alright actually. Doesn't really mind ! I have after all used the kitchen as a spray booth
  14. It seems to come up so quickly though!! Just done the trip to London and it's even easier to get carried away on the motorway! Even more so with all the BMW drivers everywhere! Haha
  15. Bugger it mate! They can be bloody sneaky sometimes. And your right, gutted that it was in a works van! Although, they might not have been so nice had you been in your M! The fine has gone up though!? When did that happen! Was £60 last time I was caught! (5 years ago now) I fear it's easy to do in the M though, I went to get fuel last night, had to drive across town and a little T**T in an old corsa B was being a numpty so thought I'd show him who's boss. Before I know I know it I'm at the top end on 3rd on a dualy in town.
