Well that could be an incentive for me to get it off for JF2 ..
-
Um,mmmmmmmmmm ... Do you know ive never tried it .. But the previous owner said it could do with a charge .. So think it works, just not ice cold ..
-
Happy birthday boss man !!! I assume the special number is 30 ?!??!
-

I need to get myself some MGZS drop links, then i'll get it on !
-
Yeah but I technically have one. Just not fitted @KiNK43 yeah I've seen the pic of yours mate
-
Yeah completely understandable mate. It's about trying to get that balance. Nice one mate thank you. Think I bought some universal 67's last time. Will get some 70's
-
Well it'll be interesting to find out whether the EK ones do fit ! Might be a better solution for some! @KiNK43 yeah i know mate! I had a little bit of hope that that was it as i knew it was loose.. But didnt actually think it would solve it! Chuffed though .. Out for lunch today so did quite a bit of driving and all seems sweet .. Running like a dream ..
-
Sounds like its properly chewing itself up then ! You know, maybe you should get one rebuilt with M-factory internals and get it over n done with If the car feels good with a shagged box, just imagine how much better it'll be with a good one! Cheers mate .. Enjoy your bath !!
-
Sounds like you ha fun mate!! Shitter on the box. Is this te cheap one that you've just bought?? Go pro footage will be ace Think launching is a fine art lol. Practice practice practice
-
Ah I thought it was the fronts ... Will line them up before I start taking anything apart!
-
Have a set of HEL from the EK. I've lined up the front and found a route that they can go. Just need to trial the rears
-
Oh yeah, and of course the obligatory wheels up clean. Oh and new discs. And braided lines.
-
Hahaha she is a little 'lively' on her arse lol. This is my next thing to get on. Along with new fogs, short shifter & extension and skunk2 inlet. That is my JF2 list
-
Ha it's really bugging you Paul isn't it!! It's undoubtably to do with the slack belt. We didn't touch anything else that would've changed anything. @simpo yes mate. The slack belt somehow was making the noise. @Krzys yes mate, put MB hubs on it
-
Do you want the cambelt write up simpo?? The verdict .... Well been out for a 'spriited' test drive this morning. First proper continuous 'pasting' I've given her for quite a while. As well as the belt I also had a play with the suspension. Pinking definitely put her down on power. You could also definitely hear it while hot. But no more! No hint at all and she pulls like a train! Actually caught me out going along a couple of well known B roads coming upto corners a little too fast. Lol. Suspension tweaks can be felt and the front end is sharper. Desperately needs the mgzs ARB on the arse. The spirited braking though has highlighted slightly warped discs, think this is purely down to age as they look like they've been on there forever! Have the blank blueprint ones that can go on from the EK and may go for Nippon pads over the hawks I've got. They are probably too aggressive for road use. All in all very very happy and once again thank you @Honda Paul

Looking nice mate fresh ticket too
-
From how I've had it explained to me, it's to take away that textured/orange peel look.. But you've said that you liked it so all good! I don't think it's a necessary! Cheers mate
-
Nice explanation Paul. Interesting read. Will report back again in the morning. Intend on taking her for a blast Whitey come out if the weather is good?
-
Sorry I missed out on advice! Lol. Did you rub em down slightly between top coat and lacquer ?? They're looking sweet!! And question, they're dc2's and you have centre caps, I don't!! Lol. Any chance you could measure them for me?? Like the outside/face of the cap and then the prongs/catches on the inside??

Friend!! MB friend!!! -
Yeah most definitely mate. was crazy and if I'm honest I was loosing patience. Was a head hangs next and after that I don't know!! Lol
-
Anyone notice anything different?????? Much much much love for @Honda Paul for all his help today. And sorry the deck broke your tools, but she is hardcore Thank fuxk for that. It's finally gone. I think Pauls technical term was 'pinking' basically the valve still being slightly open when ignition is sparked. Resulting in the 'rattle' I had. This was due to an old, worn cambelt!! Well happy, an properly back in love with her will go for a decent spin in the morning, supposedly she'd have been down on power slightly .......
