Yeah that's my concern aswell For the cd changer I was thinking about under the passenger seat as not a fan of putting them in the boot, as it can be damp and they can get knocked about in there Are there heater vents under the seats on the m's?
-
Thanks chaps, quite pleased with it, I bought far too much red carbon wrap, I will do the back badge then don't know what else, too much in red will look gerish I will redo the surround at some point but it will do for now Cd changer came this morning so will be fitting that today - if I can get over this man flu Always get it this time of year
-
My missus is awesome, I couldn't carbon wrap for s**t, she cracked it 2nd attempt Satin black around the surround, quite pleased with the results, the paint finish isint perfect as weather conditions were pap and I had to do it in a dark shed
-
I know I still think about it thinking what a muppet lol, it was a P reg same as that one above but in a gold kind of colour iirc, I was like what the f... Is that?! I'm not swapping my w reg poverty spec 2 litre n/a Galant for that! It was on swapz and he even said he would come to me, doh Then I saw one on wheeler dealers and went oh!'
-
I got offered a Stagea in a swap but declined it as I didn't know what it was :/ if I knew now, even when the guy said it was basically a Skyline underneath I was like, ok mate whatever
-
I will certainly put up some pics its showing despatched so shouldn't be long Yep, I was a Dj in a local nightclub for 16 years, was quite a successful Rock night till the owner decided to put me in the little bar he also owned down the road with the bands which promptly killed it and I walked
-
I'm going to try the H badges in red, and start small with the interior in black The grandad wood is starting to hurt my eyes now, I thought it was nice to begin with, but seeing all the carbon wrap work on here has given me the motivation, the Missus says that she wants to do it so I'm just going to keep giving her random bits of trim and tell her to crack on I do exactly the same, with the exception of the odd obscure track from iTunes I've not bought a music album in neirly 9 years, bitcomet ftw When I had my hard drive in the car I found to be skipping through a lot trying to find certain tracks I used to be a dj so have a lot of stuff backed up on my desktop hard drives

Just bought a mp3 cd changer of eBay to go with the headunit, as I was disappointed the headunit didn't have a USB/sd card slot so that should solve that, looking forward to going down the old school route and making mp3 discs again You always seem to make better CDs as when you are cutting and pasting files onto your phone or USB stick you always end up with a load of stuff you don't want or have ever heard before :/ Also bought some carbon wrap in black and red to have a bit play with

Looks very clean, nice one with painting the H red, I thought about doing that to mine and was wondering what it would look like, defo on my to do list now
-
Cheers Paul, I tried resetting the ecu yesterday, however it wouldnt start without using the throttle pedal, as it was just turning over and over
-
Think it's defo the iacv, it was idling at neirly 2k just before there and I tapped the iacv with the back of a screwdriver and immediately the idle returned to normal, and when I blipped the throte was idling at 300, tapped again and it went up to 750 Eric the car guy is awesome for that tip
-
My only tip is leave plenty over the edges to tuck down inside I ended up using some black waterproof tape around some of the edges just to keep any moisture out You can't see it when they're fitted to the car

MB2 TRINITY D. K26. 23/11/14 BRAND NEW MINI MOD ????????
Roylewaa replied to DAVEMB2's topic in Honda Civic MA/MB/MC
Stunning, those seats really suit it:) -
I sprayed all the vac lines but there was no change in engine note Where is the iacv on the 1.4? I had a quick look but couldn't see it :/
-
Little vid of the headunit in action
-
Right I reset the ecu, however the engine would not start without touching the throttle pedal When started it was idling like this... after a drive around idle is better, however its all over the place, sometimes at 1200, others at 300 to almost stalling Eml has gone out though
-
Tried reading fault codes, eml was just slowly flashing in no other pattern Sprayed all vac lines in wd40 and there was no change in engine tone Got the battery disconnected at the moment so will see if that helps
-
I had an Astra G and it was on the entire time I owned the car, and would occasionally throw itself into 'limp mode' usually when I needed to pull out of a junction quick
-
Cheers mate Was quite shocked when I saw the eml, first time I've seen one come on with a honda I thought it was just vauxhall we-cotec engines that did that lol
-
That intake looks much better, that should completely eliminate heat soak Don't K&N do a filter cover thing that waterproofs the system and eradicates any chance off sucking water up? Edit: it's called a sock and not 100% sure it stops water

No haven't checked for a code yet, just on pulling myself together to go and have a fiddle I will check all those areas cheers I saw the diagnostic plug the other day when I removed the glovebox to fit the stereo
-
As Mr Brown said those clock bulbs are a pain, I just slightly disturbed mine when I removed the centre console and it blew the bulb I would try option 1 above first and try and replace the bulb removing the stereo, as option 2 you would have to remove the under handbrake screws of doom
