  2. My missus does all my carbon wrapping as I just don't have the patience, she makes it look easy now A hair drier is a must to heat the vinyl up
  3. Good point, il check that first before I clash in and buy it
  4. It should be there between VIP gallery and chat?
  5. His and hers m's Always a good thing Wish I could convince my wife that there are other cars than a Clio or ford kak
  6. Yes they're free if you become a gold member I enquired myself and I've read they will be available soon in the store section to purchase:)
  7. Nice one, pleased for you its nothing engine related Gotta love Hondas
  8. Great info mate:) I was looking at them the other night but didn't have a clue which ones to get, the Cree sidelights really show up the yellow headlights so those above are a must
  9. Are these the same ones? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Ring-H4-XENON-ULTIMA-Max-Car-Hedlamp-Headlight-Halogen-Gas-Bulbs-120-/160934058585?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item25786ada59
  10. Thanks chaps Yes I can't believe ive never considered wrap before, its so much easier and less chew than painting, its like remove part, clean it, hair drier then bish bash bosh done Got a 45 ashtray this morning so just waiting on the wrap to arrive
  11. Well I've ordered some black wrap today so when that arrives I've decided to do the lower parts in black What I'm going to do thought is get the ashtray/ciggy lighter panel from a scrapper 45 and do that as I like the the fact is one piece:) Also plan on doing the grill surround in black wrap as it's already stone chipped and I only painted the thing last week Will be doing the rear chrome bit above the number plate and the petrol cover panel:) Will wait for the wife's hands to stop aching first - I'm good like that
  12. Cheers chaps, yeah I have a mate that's handy with a welder:) He's fitted a few aftermarket backboxes for me, even managed to fit one to a Mazda 323f ba for me which was tricky as the backbox goes across the back I was just concerned with it being a bit smaller as normally I make sure they're more or less the same size
  13. As title was scouting my local scrapyard (as I do pretty much every week) an I came across a mk6 fiesta with a nice Powerflow backbox on, I wouldn't normally go for something like that but really like the tail pipe on it Obviously it will need modification to fit my mb2, I took a quick measurement of the box and it's 12 inches, the standard box on mine is 14, should it be easy enough to adapt? It's a steal at a tenner
  14. In the logbook or service book it's usually written aswell, as above through 100% way is number from the engine
  15. Yeah I noticed that aswell when I fitted it, the missus was complaining her hands were hurting by that point so i put it down to that I did tell her to try and keep it all the same direction Not to worry though:)
  16. The more I look at it the more I might redo the lower parts black I've got an excuse to now as since disturbing the dash one of my heater console bulbs has gone off, my OCD had already kicked in and it will drive me to distraction until I sort it The carbon wrap bug has got me, I keep looking at the fridge thinking it would look awesome wrapped
  17. Yes it's a sony remote for the headunit I know it's close already to the headunit however there was method in it, you can't change discs in the changer in the boot from the front of the stereo just the remote, which is never good fiddling with a remote while driving, just a flick of the commander and away it goes Had to get a bit creative to mount it as there was no mounting plate, so used a couple of Meccano bolts with nuts on and tapped 2 little holes on the cowling and back of the commander and job done I did think about a new gearknob but I'm quite attached to that momo one as it's quite weighted I plan on doing the front calipers red, the drums will be black as don't want to draw attention to it having drums lol A few bits of red here and there to compliment the red inside
  18. Thanks chaps quite pleased with it Everything came apart quite easily, not 1 clip or fitting broke Great how to to remove the long piece by removing the binnacle surround first, it came out nice and easy
  19. Well its all in, I do like it, not as bright and in your face as I thought it would be In an ideal world I would have preferred to have the top parts red and all the lower bits in black wrap, never mind just made use of what I had Also fitted my stereo commander, was a bargain at a tenner, they're usually a lot more
  20. I've been on the lookout for one so if you decide to sell the lip let me know
  21. He got it from a breaking Odyssey in the scrapyard It must be model dependant as my Odyssey didn't have one
