  1. I seen this mentioned in another thread but loved them for the past wee while. I love this!
  2. He called me a heathen I genuinely cried a little inside.........and now I need to learn how to read the 24hr clock
  3. I'd a few friends run lpg with no hassles, but they were all VAG engined. If you've heard bad reports then probably best to avoid I do remember reading once though that all Subarus and Jag V6s are particularly susceptible to VSR problems as well as some Hondas and Fords.
  4. Would you consider an LPG'd car? That way you have all the advantages of a petrol but with extra economy. The higher RON of LPG can also give you a few more ponies
  5. Thanks dude. Well that's that decided. They aren't worth saving when new ones are only £30 I'd have preferred OEM ones but they all seem to be just as badly corroded as these Ring ones. Oh and I've it sorted for a rolling road day in two weeks so I'll have a starting point for engine mods next year. I even threw half a bottle of Redex in it last night to free up a few more bhp (if Fifth Gear is to be believed)
  6. Congrats. She looks well. Nice low miles on it too. Roll on next Saturday
  7. I also had a fog light out and decided to take both off with the intention of sanding and repainting them and replacing the screws with stainless steel ones. A couple of really annoying rusted screws and bolts later and I've them opened and cleaned of crystallised gunk. Can anyone tell me though are these original Honda ones or are they aftermarket? Edit: From looking around I think they're aftermarket so maybe not worth restoring.
  8. Following some severe pressure from a certain member on here I changed my clocks to 24hr Also my rear badge was tatty and crooked looking so I bought a new copy and fitted it Old New
  9. Hope I don't confuse things, but if you're looking for a clay bar you might want to try the Bilt Hamber ones. With other claybars you'll need to get some sort of lubricant as well to ensure you don't marr the paintwork. I use Meguiars Last Touch for example when I'm claying. With the Bilt Hamber clay bars you can just use water for lubrication and they are very forgiving if you've not used one before.
  10. Have you tried any of the local motorsport or rally boys or anything? There have to be decent ones down round there who can sort you out with a system. I've some friends from Cork who run modified S2000s and can ask if anyone near there they can recommend. How far are you willing to travel for a custom system? I've been recommended a Longlife system for mine and there is a place about 20 miles from me who do them. I see there's one Longlife dealer in Waterford so I'm guessing a good 2 and a half hour trip? http://www.spheattransfer.com/index.php/vehicle-exhausts-dpf/
  11. Holy Moly. Carter USM! Complete random blast from the past! Maybe this needs moved away from the car chat section lol
  12. Boom! In budget, but estate. Still. They look awesome in this colour dechromed with FN2 Type R alloys http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/2006-honda-accord-22-i-cdti-estate/1038468777#photo-content Edit: 174,000 miles. Must. read. adverts. first.
  13. Honda Accord 2.2 EX http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/honda-accord-ex-i-ctdi-2007-22-diesel-good-condition/1039843017#photo-content In budget, economical, sat nav, leather interior Edit - Cat D and actually over budget lollol
  14. We all loves the VAG boom tish ...............I'll get my coat..................
  15. I was gonna suggest the Ibiza FR 130 purely because you'd get a newer one within budget and a fresher look. Something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-SEAT-IBIZA-1-9TDi-FR-3dr-/291004836202?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item43c13d696a Or a bit of leftfield choice, what about a Yaris TSport? They might only be 105bhp but they weight less than a ton so they're just as quick to 60 as the Toledo 150, but maybe start to run out of steam if you prefer driving at rapid speeds compared to something with a turbo. Any idea what sort of mpg you want? The Octavia VRS can be got at decent money with climate, leather etc and well under budget. You'd also get at least mid 30s mpg but I'm not sure if that's still too low, or you don't want to drive a Skoda
  16. Just bumping this thread as I've discovered last night I've only got one working foglight, Can anyone confirm that these are the Halogen boyos I need to replace them with? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-PACK-H3-HALOGEN-HEADLAMP-SPOT-LAMP-FOG-LAMP-BULB-453-12V-55W-PK22s-11-5mm-/320911843148?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4ab7d61f4c Is 55w bright enough?
  17. Aw I'm too late to the party to offer suggestions Dammit! Have fun with the Torpedo. I've had a couple of friends run both a 1.9tdi and a mapped and gassed 1.8T. Them and the Octavias of the time seem like alot of car for the money these days.
  18. Really? What did you win? I just have a natural distrust for them as being scams or fixed tbh
  19. Pigeon? For a second I wondered if that was some new chat app I hadn't heard of before I don't like these people enough to Skype them or desire to see their ugly faces lol
  20. If it wasn't for Facebook I'd not be able to stay in contact with a few lads who live outside of the UK, but I mostly hate it. Between people cluttering up my newsfeed posting daily pics of their kids, people counting down days to Xmas since September and Like and Share competitions it mostly does my nut in.
