Ok i will take a look other then the leaks probably the most annoying thing on these cars is drivers window motors.
-
VSS sensor top of gearbox, bet the plugs coming apart or corroded inside had a few play up easily fixed normally.

So..........Aerodeck drivers window motor eating itself alive bodged it through for a year just coz Daily sh1t box cant be bothered but now its time to get a replacement. i used to have a few spares but now they've all been used up over the last 10 years, has anyone had one off eBay that fits correctly the prices are too crazy to gamble on and the pictures on the adverts all look somewhat different to what i expect to see?

Water leaks into spare tyre well & rear seats assistance please
Jimbob738 replied to frunkster's question in SOS! Help!!
Same as CRV then had 2 of the sometimes its rot under the windscreen ive found that out, the step wagons very similar in design to the CRV. i would have one as a day van owned a Bongo 2.5TD and it was a rot box but i do miss the handy platform of a 4WD van, i dont miss the repair prices though LOL. -
Yeah I thought today if the Aerodeck failed I will go buy this Avensis estate I saw 2Litre good engine, then it passed 😂 without 1 advisory again 3rd year running. I know all about the minis I have a mate who owns a Cooper S god no! Oil leak bonanza. VWs by far the worst I've owned, 3 passats in 3 years and a Skoda Octavia 4x4 haldex nightmare never again. Best car to date probably a toss up between a T5 estate or MC2 burgundy estate 2003 to 2010 bought it back and kept spares.

Did I read correctly you have a step wagon I really would like one.

When I was younger I worked so hard to get a VTIS and it got me through some tough times I just couldn't give up on it. Nothing has ever been as reliable as the Hondas I have owned and trust me I've had some nightmare cars so just thought sod it get a basic Aerodeck after the nightmare Skoda Octavia 4x4 I had it blew up in 2 weeks of purchase. Long story VAGS are terrible 😖👎

Yeah I had the windscreen one on the VTIS sealed back up last summer, most of the time it's undercover or under the carport at the side of the house. -
Hi Simon we probably haven't spoken in 10 years mate but its the same VTI-S i have had since 2012 seems my account got orphaned in the transfer and i lost access, while the whole time the cars been off the road since 2016 take 3 years of welding and engine rebuilding to get it nearly ready for a return.

Anyone ever solves this scooby doo mystery let me know 4 Aerodecks in every single ones always had a portable swimming pool in the boot ha ha i just live with it and push the bungs out as long as it doesnt sit and drains out its fine. had to weld the boot floor on the current one i have in 2023 but sealed it and hasn't started to rust up yet. -
My Work Horse 1.6 SE daily again same as Paradox Fuel Prices keep me running this and reliability and keep the VTI-S on the back burner has all the standard leaks Ha Ha
-
Yeah i like a Volvo had a V70 T5 probably 12 years ago when i sold my 3rd MC2 missed the induction noise of Vtec so bought my VTI-S. Probably only thing id trust as much as a honda, alot more Juicy though 18MPG i averaged haha.

Mean while today i got the Aerodeck through its MOT with no advisory's i bought it 2023 for £800 had to do both Inner sills and outer as it was rotten and welded the boot floor in 2023 and fitted MB6 suspension, MGZS 180 Shocks and Brakes and spare VTI wheels i had laying about. Its still a 1.6 SOHC D16W4, it starts on the button every day and has never once let me down. Long Story over the last 10 years i have had many cars in between and they've all been terrible so i just decided back to Honda, Having owned about 5 MC2's VTI's since 2003 the first i had to find one that would just work, i have a B20Z1 i am rebuilding to dump in it but the VTI-S is priority to get on the road first. Shes an old Gal and a workhorse my Loyal Steed Like Arthur's from RDR2 horse LOL.

OK after 10 Years away from the Forum i have returned to get the VTI-S back on the road. I have Rebuilt the Engine again as the 2016 rebuild didn't go as planned but to be honest the main reason its been off the road for 5 years was due to many factors 1 being Money, 2 being Welding, 3 Mental and Physical health but ive done 75% of welding and just getting bits sorted. having a break while i help my mate rebuilding his Silvia S13 that's going on the ramps for its MOT next week.

Yeah i have a 1.6 Aerodeck same issues they are getting on a bit and have some random leaks in the boot.

Hi Everyone i am posting here as i assume most folks look here the most and want to inform everyone of the dangers of these LCA'S i bought some of the Purple SKunk2 Style LCA's about a year back now for my MB6 VTIS when i purchase my meister Rs, they were actually sold at the time as genuine skunk 2 ones until i complained, the sellers are from ebay so it was my own silly decision to keep them and not send them back and against the advice of Scott at H-Tune i thought merrrrrr how back can they be. went under my car today and mind my civic has been off the road aabout a year straight after i fitted them my engine went pop, the cars been covered over and the bushes greased heavily. the bushes are about f**kced already my car now sounds like a shopping trolly going down the road so in a word WASTED MY MONEY! these a substandard units and are dangerous sh1t these are the ones i bought: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Skunk2-style-RED-LCA-Lower-control-arm-HONDA-CIVIC-EG-CRX-DC2-INTEGRA-MB6-/222152112827?hash=item33b94c3abb:g:j1EAAOSw1vlUtyxI sellers Honda_Power89 anything that says something "style" stay the hell away from as its now inconvenieced me massively....................buy genuine from H-tune its expensive but good. these have only covered around 3-4k on my car since fitting and already the bushes are knackered OEM time for me!

Just got to sort interior out now as I'm not happy with the sagging head lining and seats I WANT LEATHER ONES NOWWWWWWW! and my parcel shelfs decided to go all floppy Sad face!

-
Cheers got there eventually now to sell the VAG! been up for sale on Gumtree, Ebay, Preloved, Briskoda.net FB its not shifting nothing wrong with it just doesn't have hardly any appeal it seems.

and then MOT day came was confident of a pass.......... And it passed with flying colours not one advisory so all my hard work paid off and its still running sweet today had no issues what so ever I have had my laptop hooked up to freelog with the hulog and all is working perfectly on the map I'm using so I'm happy once again the car now
-
Once engine was all sorted and back in which took about 3 days I stripped all the brakes down and freshened them up took all the rust off and cleaned the calipers up and soaked them all in pen oil so the could start working properly for the MOT you get the jist I sorted the brakes not mega exciting but you can see how bad the were after a year or so...... anyway one thing was holding me back from the MOT a knackered IAT that was throwing codes so I had to wait a week or so to buy one from HTUNE as they were on back order then it came fitted it and booked the MOT with baited breath hoping it would pass first time.........

So I got the dolly board on the Jack and started to position it back in the bay after removing the gearbox and shafts it was fun NOT! Then was time to fit the gearbox back onto the block again with one pair of hands it took me ages and was a long process and extremely frustrating....... with the Shafts back in place gearbox in and together and that pain in the ar5e rear mount bolted I started to get the fresh MTF in the box, while I was retightening the gearbox bung on the side of it I sheered the casing and split it first and only error I made so I had to cold weld the f3cker back in place and make sure it didn't leak honestly I was mortified..... Engine when all was done ready for the MOT
-
Then it was time to refit and get the sucker running again which I can assure you was a b1tch on my own but I had a wheel barrow on hand and a cracking missus who helped me get it out my shed........ this was end of April time and things were going ahead nicely the car had been sat engine less for about 6 months so all brakes were seized solid. looked a mess right?
