good stuff, glad to hear it

sounds similar to a problem i had with mine a month or two ago. For me it was the ignition switch on the back end of the barrel. I just had to remove the switch, open it up and clean the contacts inside then put it back together and its been fine since then. Its worth a go for a free fix.

Im looking to go a similar route but with no experience of turbos as yet, Ive done no end of research on it as this'll be the first time ive tried to turbo any engine, il probably have loads of daft questions to throw your way along the line. I was lookng at some of the ebay turbos and for the price of them ya cant complain if and/or when they fail just get another haha. get them coilovers on, ya know ya want to

oooooooh tuuurrrbboooooooo, yes I agree

Yes, Hatch for the win

Cheers mate, They are a bit grooved and not the way we want them to be . im guessing someones let the pads wear right down to the metal at some point. I could do with replacing all four really but they work fine for now and there not making any mad grinding or screeching noises. im thinking of doing them when I do the braided lines as my front brake lines were an advisory on the mot anyway, and then swap the other rear caliper out for the good one ive got at the same time. But yea they are on the "to do" list

too right mate. I was starting to think id need need a new barrel and keys then how would that go down with the imobilizer then would i need the ecu reprogramming , nightmare. when all along it was just a simple cleaning if some electrical contacts. the free fixes are always the best

Oh yea, one last thing for today, centre badge for my steering because jolly roger and that.....

Drilled some big old holes through the middle of the cat cos we dont like cats round ere and added one of them fandangled lambda foolers and it seems to work no cel light and throttle feels more responsive. I may drill it out some more yet as I only did 5 holes into it and one all the way through the middle. heres the lambda fooler in position and heres the weapon of choice, muhuhahahaaaa

Oh yeah ive also been having some problems with my ignition barrel. The car was struggling to stay turned on once started, if I could get it to start. turns out it was just the ignition switch on the back side of the barrel. I took the switch off opened it up and it was full of grot and dust. So I cleaned it out, put it all back together and bobs ya uncle problem solved. unfortunately no pics for that one as I wasnt entirely sure if what I was doin was going to help, but alas it did starts first time every time and hasnt switched off on me yet, fingers crossed.

Debadged and dewipered the back and raised the ride height a bit before I lost my mudflaps or exhaust
-
also cleaned the engine bay, not that ya can really tell haha, added me cheapy air filter and got rid of the air con and exhaust manifold heat shield

A few updates..... painted wheels, calipers and the middle and edges of the brake discs. tidies things up a bit there. added a front lip splitter rubber doo dah thing too

WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE ONE HEADLINER CLIP REWARD MAY BE CONSIDERED
-
got the headliner in, Ive lost one of the round clips that plugs in in the middle tho
-
when i first put them on I had them a little below standard height and they did feel good. a definite improvement over stock in the corners. I might raise mine up a little for now till i can get hold of some mg shocks and some camber adjustable bits then I can go all the way back down
-
Thats right they were toyo sports. heres a link to the same ones but in red http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/88-00-Honda-Civic-Del-Sol-CRX-Integra-Coilover-Kit-Red-B66-/400145873911?hash=item5d2a8d7bf7:m:m3FGjcati7D66F2SizrL4YA If you want to go super low with them id recommend some shorter shocks though, thats next on my parts list
-
Cheers, been a busy few days, Me mudflaps are taking a bit of a kicking though, they act like curb feelers but for speed bumps haha
-
Aint got a clue on the make there a cheap ebay jobby. they were described as civic EK coilovers haha, come with different o ring things for the adjustable part to fit snug over different thickness shocks. pretty impressed for the price tho.
-
yea well chuffed, they feel good not too harsh I could do with some MG shocks now though with how low ive got them set.
-
Oh yea and got my wheel back in just need to sort a horn button
-
Few shots with the springs on. oh And Ive put the stock exhaust back on for now. got my eye on something else so the straight though set up is for sale. Also swapped the fuel tank for a none leaky one and swapped all the drivers window stuff over so now I have a drivers window that opens and shuts, yey!
