  14. Yup standard shizzle. Still better then honda dealer prices tho and they were cheaper then any of the above so cudnt grumble and I was desperate so no time to try the eBay ones etc. Easy still change the hubs to 100 pcd and get the rears for £28 lol

  15. It'll be cool... just make sure you sort it. If it needs a thermostat or a fan switch or whatever you find is broken. Do it ASAP. It'll be a cheap fix. But I can tell you Honda don't like overheating. You'll take out the head gasket! and then it's gonna get expensive.

  16. It's still not right!?!? This was probably my biggest gripe with the galaxy, was great access if you could open the door fully, if you couldn't, well, you'd might as well force a grape through your japsi!

  25. It's not that two cars belonging to one member can't be entered but a member submitting a car for COTM can only submit one car from the way I read it. I guess it could be made clearer though as you can read into it both ways, I'll ask the boss man!

  26. Or the heated rear window.....Honda's are never pushed! Yeah that doesn't sound a bad idea, probably just need to re-route the cables or extend them to reach and modify where the blanks are if the switches aren't the same size!

  27. Fill your expansion tank, pure water will be fine for the short term, see how you get on and check the level once a day say while you're using the car and top up as needed, the fan will only switch on when water passing the switch reaches a certain temperature, but if the hot water isn't getting to it (because the thermostat is closed and not letting it flow through) then the fan simply won't come on at all!

  28. Yes, if the speed drops low enough 2nd is never going to cut it, a quick blip and slot into 1st wins the day.

  30. Frickin leaks! A few weeks ago I washed the car and hoovered my carpets and discovered the hoover was just lifting water from the passenger side. It was soaking. I unscrewed some of the trim and peeled the roof lining just enough to see lots of condensation under the metal roof I've checked the channel from the sunroof and it looks ok. I've always suspected the windscreen had been replaced and so I'm going to try and reseal the top of the windscreen and see if that fixes it. Whilst I was checking for leaks I also found a small puddle in the boot but can't figure out where it's coming from. Can anyone tell me what use this vent is in the left side of the boot and if it could possibly let in water? I'd also ordered a new pollen filter. As it's a bit of a pain to replace I wasn't sure when it was last done so for the sake of a few quid I figured I'd just replace it. The nice delivery man chucked the box over my back fence on a rainy day so I came home to find a nice soaked box and contents The filter itself was dry thankfully and fitted using the dummies guide on here. Easy Finally, and most importantly I got sorted with a DC2 air box thanks to 10000rpm on here, for a far better price than eBay I ordered a replacement OEM filter, washed and cleaned the air box and dressed it with Meguias engine dressing. Can't wait to get it on now. It was too wet and windy last night

  31. Ha Ha you poor poor guys.. My mrs not only came along for the ride today when i went to pick up a couple of bumpers that i only told her the evening before i was buying she also said anything else you want or need while were here and reached for her purse LOL.. And the answer is: I said no thanks dear just that for now. LOL infact she is the reason i bought a replacement wing for our MB6 as she saw a Baikal Green M being broken on C5 F/B group and asked if we wanted to buy anything for the car..

  33. @ UnicyclingTom, Thanks @ vtec2011, I agree mate, black and red theme go well with each other. I'm not fully decided on the red tape yet, sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't. I bought it off eBay, it says it's for motorcycles but I've seen people having them on their car. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/120801165327 @ Mr Brown, I would totally recommend wind deflectors, makes the car look so much better. I don't think a small red H logo with black wheels on silver car looks too bad lol, EP3 Type-R have red H as standard. I think the red tape may be overdone but sometimes I like it and don't . I originally wanted a black civic with Rota Auto X wheels but there's still alot to do on the car yet and I'll probably sometime have it wrapped in satin black and buy the wheels too.

  34. yes finally a garage! the previous bloke has done a shed like extension on the side, its a bit diy bodge, so im going to knock it down and make it bigger! so i will have lots of space to put wheels! lol

  35. Nice touches mate, Im glad you did the deflectors as i want to put them on our silver M and i now know i like them a lot and will def be adding these, i saw them on a few other coloured M's and some i liked and some not so..but silver win for me. Re the rims LOL i also thought about the read ring as i have five spoke P/B rims with the red H logo and wanted to know what it would look like on a silver M as i also seen them on other cars and liked it a lot, sorry imo i don't think it works as well on silver so you have helped me discover that i shall not be doing this.. Keep up the good work fella' if you decide the red ring does grow on you and you keep it remember here at Civic5 we think its good to be different and go with what you like...

  38. Would be interesting to know what a patten part would be. Although id like to stay original. Second hand you always run the risk of them being the same though. They're not quite at the point thy need replacing though, will wip them off on the weekend to get a better idea. Hopefully a good old lube will squeeze some more life out of them

  39. Right well the suns out, bit windy but cant resist giving the clear plastidip a go Done boot lid and wing, bit left in the can do give you a idea how much you need. Heres the pics, the effect shows up better on wing because of how the light catches it i suppose, but pretty pleased. Definately will do the whole car, only downside a few bits of stuff blew onto it (even a bug!). Should have really cleaned the whole car first!
