She failed the MOT but the gd news is, it was only a split brake hose! Ive had to order one from ebay as no one has any in stock in the uk apprantly. He mention about the springs but said just drill some holes and cable tie the bottom of the springs down haha Other than that it did well!!3 points

Only just catching up with threads, had the friggin lurgy this week & been in bed most of it .. Thanks for the thoughts though chaps .. Havent done oil yet no Paul, is on my list to do when i come back from Italy though.. Although in fear of starting a mass debate, I think a few on here have a grudge against the Castrol Magentic stuff ... But its worth a try ... Re dizzy, i dont see how it can be as i have put a brand new one on there and it still makes the noise! Or it did anyway .. Need to try again with the help of Mr Paul @simpo, defo not alternator mate, its the opposite side of the engine .. WIll be going quiet for a week now anyway as we're off on hols on monday for a week .. Will continue investigating and narrowing it down upon my return I will beat it2 points

Lets get right into this shall we. Been building Honda's for 14yrs, but this is my 1st Aerodeck build. Its going to be slow and more of a mini-build. As some may know I am the newbie who just bought their 1st MC3 2.0i TD Aerodeck. Always wanted one so I made the purchase for 999EUR. Not a bad deal as the car has no significant body damage, or other REAL issues. Nothing that my experience as a Honda head cant handle. Heres what I plan to do: Lower the car Freshen up any worn out or damaged suspension parts Clean up the brake system Add a rear sway bar new rims and tires ( not too sure if I want a 15in or 16in tire/rim combo) New radio Seat bracket/sliders for my Recaro seats And basically fix what I deem needs to be fixed. As I stated its going to be low cause I want to get it right the 1st time. Plus I am building up my Civic Ferio K series as well. That's a whole nother beast too. So stay tuned cause its going to get started really soon!!!!1 point

Quite a few of us do have a problem with castrol as it seems to make the top end rattle which I imagine would make your problem harder to diagnose. Hope you get it sorted and have good holiday.1 point

I know it an old post I replying to but in regards to your pistons sleeves I have no idea how much sleeves are but if you plan to turbo it I would look into vitara pistons and eagle rods I've heard it's the cheapest way to forge a d series ready for a turbo, dseries.org will have all the info you could ever want on fitting a chu chu to your car1 point

One of the 1st things I did was clean the car. Sorry there are not that many pictures of this process, but you get the idea. I used a mixture of Wool lite dark, Ariel laundry soap, water, and a steam cleaner to clean up the seats and carpet. Pulled the seats out OMG!!!!!! I am sooooo rich!!! 1 Free Euro. So In reality I only paid 998EUR for the car. Score for me. I still needed to get this to pass inspection so I knocked out the brake rotors and pads. And man let me tell, I am glad I did. Theses things would make a baby cry just by looking at them, but I guess this is normal for European salt roads. All done. Even though they grip sooo much better I am contemplating upgrading to a bigger rotor and caliper. That's all for now. I have a OEM VTi VSM front lip on the way. Should be here soon.1 point

its all they had in the shop i wanted yellow you can't see them so its not so bad just when i went to cleaning the wheels all you see is nasty looking callipers so red it was right been a while since i posted any thing on here but theres some updates not a lot but progress is progress fineally got some wind deflectors deffinately worth there money got some skunk2 rear lca's and beaks bar and picked up for only 134 squids an eldbrock performa x manifold was a bitch to fit as its was meant for a d16y8 engine and the w4 that i have in mine is very similar but being a 2000 model it has air injection and a ridiculous amount of vacuums and later found out that the manifold was for a z6 had to modify my injectors and inlet gasket and a few other bits but its on and works and makes a dirrty noise in and out of vtec only problem is today i have idle hunt just got to properly blank one of the vacuums after fitting it me and a mate took it out for a test drive and i went and shaped my drive shaft in the box aswell so two hours later i have my old gear box back in so apart from the crunch in 2nd 3rd and 4th and the idle hunt it goes very well im also modifying the bumper thanks all heres some pics1 point

Went to Halfrauds to get window tint but they didn't have any. But I did see this in the sale for 15 quid! The Aerodeck badly needed to be clayed and I never done it before. So I gave it a go and I don't think I done too bad. The car feels soo silky now When taking the pics I couldn't get the Pirates Black to show but it defiantly has come up beautiful! Oh yes I got the VTi interior in and the MGZS dash inserts installed1 point
