Mate, this isn't really appropriate for the forum. It wasn't a great idea to put up half a story to draw attention to it, fair enough the car has been vandalised but to then go on and say it was someone one here is derogatory and that person can actually accuse you of slander because this is essentially public domain. If there's a member causing a problem, PM me or one of the team and we can sort it quietly, but don't post attention seeking stories, we're not Facebook! @Dave, just so you are aware mate!4 points

I'll just save for some second hand meisters, rather do it properly than do it twice 🚗2 points

The Full leather seats are in..The front is fitted fine but I have the small hooks on the rear and the leather seats got big hooks with them so I will have to change those at some point to fit the rear seats perfectly..For now I have used the single seat from half leather to fix that in and my daughter's car seat to cover it ..I also did a small mod last night but one of my favourite ones..There is still space in the bulb holder so I am gonna get another one and join them together for more light2 points

The fact that you have to use ur own top mount on those prosports says volumes about the effort the maker put into developing them tbh i dont think you can find a decent set brand new for any less than £400 "do it cheap do it twice"2 points

Sorry. I forgot to update this. After I laced the piston with WD40 and pushed it back in place with the G Clamp I'd left it a few days until the morning I had it booked in with my mechanic. It must have done the trick as after all as it worked fine driving it to the garage. He had a look over it and said it was fine. Fingers crossed it keeps it working for the next while. Thanks1 point

The other day I had some wd40 and decided to spray it down the side of the door by the latch. Yesterday whilst driving in slow traffic I decided to have ago at opening from the inside (been doing this anytime I get stuck in traffic lol) and it opened gave the whole latch area another good soak with wd and all seems well!1 point

At the end of the day mate what we're saying is your paying £200 for a naff set .. That are shit .. That are not even close to a third as good as a proper meister (or similar) set up and that for the sake of quick cheap lows, if you saved for a few months you could have them properly .. The simple fact that you cannot adjust the ride height without adjusting the spring dampening and that you have to use original top mounts as earlier mentioned shouts volumes to me of how naff they are .. Suspension is one of the most important parts of the car, along with tyres & brakes and IMHO not to be scrimped on .. The friend that does "rallying" obviously doesnt do it to a decent level as the suspension that are used on proper rally cars are far far more advanced that even the highest Meister set up ..1 point

I fell for the cheap option too... Second hand pro tuning for £80... Ride was horrific! Every lump or bump felt like the shocks were going to smash up through my bonnet!! Quickly sold them on and put my MG ZS setup back on... Just looking to do the front fork mod now to bring the front down a touch!1 point

a lot of it is bedding in mate!! keep it all the same plus which side is our left? drivers side or passenger? if the higher side is passenger that'll make sense as you are sat in the car most of the time when they bed in so putting more pressure on the shock and thus making it bed in a little quicker1 point

He kept up in town because he has instant torque whereas our cars really move above 6k, however when I was above 6k I was pulling away at a decent rate, in cities the E36 is faster, on an open road the EP3 is unless you keep it in the powerband the entire time in town1 point

That's £200 towards Meister's! I don't get why people spend money to save money? It makes no sense!1 point

Ok sorry for the wait! My girlfriend's been totally bedridden with influenza so have had to prioritize. But anyway here we go: The install was a breeze. Gave a proper lube to all the nuts and bolts and everything came out easy. No seized anythings or problems whatsoever. The BC's fit perfect so the whole thing was done quite quickly. I set the the height to about the same as it was before and left the preload and damping to the factory settings, which are 2-3mm and 8 clicks from hardest. Took it for a test drive and it was sweet as saccharine! Even with the harder 12/10kg springs and relatively hard damping setting it was at the same time so much more comfortable but also firmer than the old H&R coils. My mate who has a 2008 BMW coupe with oem shocks & eibach springs said my ride is more comfy than his, and he's the kind of you guy who will give you crap any time he gets the chance! So i believe him. For the ride home as a test i set the damping all the way to the softest and the ride was like resting your head between a nice set of b**bies. I'm totally in love with these! Before i would try to avoid every single manhole, crack and bump on the road but now i find myself searching for them, just to make sure if the damping is really as comfortable as i think it is! The only downside i can think of at the moment is the ride height in the rear. It's at as high as it'll go, which is ok for winter driving and HOPEFULLY ok for when the car is fully loaded. Maybe it'll work out if i set the damping on hardest. Luckily i very rarely have to drive with a full load, so i took the chance and decided to keep these. On the bright side: now i can slam the car lower than i'll ever need to! So all in all: they're awesome. Can't wait for the roads to melt and set it all the way to the hardest and give the deck a proper trashing! Here are a few photos: The old right rear, leaking "just a bit" New one in: Front: Current height: Max ride height at rear:1 point

They're on! My living room floor. So shiny! Look soooo much better than my current H&R coil kit. And the ride height adjustment is way better on these, you just screw the shock body in or out the lower mount (Like on Meisters) compared to compressing/decompressing the spring on the H&R's. Checked everything is like i ordered, gonna fit them on sunday when i've got nothing else scheduled. So plenty of time to play with height & damping to get it just right. Gonna give all the nuts & bolts on the the old suspension a proper soaking tonight, hopefully makes my job easier later! I compared the kit very carefully to the pics on MeisterR's website, and to me it looks like they come from the same factory. They seem almost identical in every aspect, except for the locking rings and damping adjustment nut. Also bc has a tad less adjustment, 30 compared to Meister's 32 clicks. But even the springs are marked the same way and with the same font. BC subcontracts coil kits to other brands also, but MeisterR is not one of them, i checked before ordering. But anyway chances are this BC kit is pretty much the same. Let's just hope it fits & sits as well as the MB/MC-specific Meister kit!1 point
