I've got Jinyu tyres on my Beemer in 225/45R17. Can't fault them at all, apart from the fact I can't do burnouts or skids unless it's wet now.2 points

Please tell me your going to get proper branded ones?? Not some cheap Ebay s**t? I would suggest D2 or even CyberSpeed2 points

Nice wheels! Shame they're wrapped in Nankangs though! Ditch them before they find a ditch for you! Edit: Made the exact same comment at the exact same time as @Chandler haha!2 points

nice wheels mate, maybe get some other tyres rather than ditchfinders? (nankangs) there are plenty of cheap tyres out there for 16's!! whats the size of them? 195/45?2 points

Ok so the turtle mobile has gone to the scrapyard in the sky and has been replaced by a white r reg civic aerodeck She is a pretty spotless example with 149k on the clocks with a few mods done already. De-chromed headlights with black indicator JDM rear lights lowered Full vti interior so a good base to start from with lots of plans already and loads of the parts from the old mb to put into this one Pics to follow once i have the time and will keep this one updated Then started the mods1 point

Just had new synchros fitted to the typeR's gearbox mate and the difference is massive! That lot your buying will make her bullet proof, well worth the outlay/work1 point
-
Not having much luck mate I still have my gearbox from my mb6 if your struggling. Engines still in bits so wouldn't be fitting it anytime soon lol1 point

I should win an award for how patient I've been with modding my MB6! 11 months later and it's still on standard wheels and suspension.1 point

Purple calipers would look awesome! Dark blue would look good too. I've always used standard dust caps, they don't get stolen as much.1 point

Cheap and cheerful, see how they look! They look decent on Maz's so thougt give em a bash... At £9 can't go wrong! Lol Also progress so far.... Prepped and positioned to spray... And first light primer coat down!1 point
-
Those Carbon synchros .. Aside from ubber coolness and scene points, are there any performance advantages?1 point
-
Cool, don't forget that the Deck has more power and weight than the MB2 though which may be a factor in the amount of grip they give.1 point

I've got the yokohama s-drives in 195-45-16 and they look sweet. Get decent tyres, they last longer and car drives better.1 point
-
Yeah make sure you put matching tyres on the same axle, ditchfin...I mean Nankang on the front and Sunny on back for example. Evergreen or the Ling long greemax are good budget tyres, I think Uniroyal are still quite cheap and are rated. For 16" I would go with 205/45, you get a bit of rim protection and it's spot on for the speedo too.1 point
-
Phil Poole? If so no mate he got some Japan racing ones1 point
-
Ye in 195/45 can get a decent set for about £50 delivered each1 point
-
Dont understand the hate for Nankang, they were fine when I ran them. Admittedly I would go for better if I could, but I wouldnt have a problem running them again.1 point
-
the colour combo should be real nice aswel mate!1 point

Oh do you mean the fog light fitted on to the car without the surround..It goes on very easily because the screws can move in the L bracket so just tight them in the right place..Easy1 point

Hi again everyone sorry for the big pause. In the middle of sorting homes. Having to move out of where I'm at. Bad news is that there no new news at the min been to buzzy with the house stuff and work. I have desired to take out the d16 turbo and put into my eg hatch with a manuel gearbox. Store the aerodeck if I can and build it back up with an eg front end and a standard ish manuel. I'v just been waiting forever for my eg to be running and it is my dream car. Will build the estate at some point poss over winter or something. If anyone has ideas or thoughts feel free and yes krzys there is a bit of mixing in the oil. Think that is the real reason after all1 point
