  20. no, is the short answer. the OEM has a shaft that is connected to the wheel. where as a hub connected through 6 bolts normally so that the wheel can be changed.

  22. Problem is I got those old 5s in the shed. But when had tyres put in dc2 rims they got all scuffed up. And my mate mixed that paint one off.... So I'll have to Refurb them a different colour. Know what I'm sayin. Found some nice 16x7 et35 on eBay may go for them would need to sell me toyos tho to help pay for them and tyres

  23. Turned 22 on the 9th March, so for the weekend of the 6th-8th March I drove to the Geneva Motorshow 2015. I took the BMW because it's better on fuel via the motorway, and more comfortable, less loud, and has cruise control. Awesome awesome trip. We need a collage! Collage~~~ I got to see all the new concepts and road cars etc, even sat in the drivers seat of the new type R! Was very tempted to put down the £3k deposit, but no idea where the other £29k would come from! It's definitely better in real life than in pictures by the way Returned back to England to find the HID kit that @Roj and another mate got me for my birthday had arrived (thanks again) Got that fitted and here's the results! They're perfectly matched to my new sidelights which is a plus and night time visibility is incredible as they're the 6000k ones not the 8000k ones! Also a bonus picture of the spoiler as everyone loves a bit of carbon fibre! In regards to further modifications. the rear tyres are on the way as is the new gearbox mount. I've also ordered a new rocker cover gasket kit so I can get the valve clearances done sometime next week. Also my new component speakers arrived with everything I need to fit them, another birthday present from a mate! So these will be fitted this weekend hopefully! Happy days

  25. Nope... And i didn't need to use any products from holts either... Speaking of which, I saw this in halfords at the weekend when buying another exhaust bandage Class

  26. Had a bit of a result with the exhaust... the (mild steel) supersprint centre section that was blowing was one that was replaced a few years ago just before the 2 year warranty expired (just for being pretty badly corroded and not blowing at that time). I emailed supersprint to double check that it wasn't covered by a warranty (was pretty sure that it wasn't), and when they confirmed that it wasn't, I (slightly cheekilly) asked if they would offer me any discount on a replacement stainless one (the mild steel option has been discontinued for some reason...). I nearly fell off my seat when the reply was - yes, 50% with free shipping (from Italy). I had to give them proof of purchase for the original one of course. With a decent exchange rate on the Euro at the mo, it's worked out very well Amazing customer service from them - I was really impressed when the first swapped the exhaust without it blowing (lasted months after getting the replacement), and even more now.

  31. ok so gave my lovely MB6 a good wax today while the sun was out and on the pictures you may notice the rear lights are no longer fly eyed they were'nt growing on me and you could see the creases in the sunlight looked abit tacky so they had to go i may tint them at some point in the future. pictures are abit blur really but nevermind.

  32. First of all a few pics in the daylight with De-chromed headlights and Alloys
    1 point
  33. Next I fitted my De-chromed headlights and USDM kit.. I ran into a few problems while installing USDM as firstly the indicator on passenger side wasn't turning on with the side light and after I sorted that it wasn't turning on as indicator so it was flashing quickly. Managed to sort that. Tested everything and all was working fine. Put everything back together and as I jumped in the car to start it to take it for a spin it won't start.. The battery had gone flat for some odd reason ..Luckily my neighbour got back home and he had jump leads so put them on and after a few minutes started fine but indicator wasn't working still. So I left it and came back in for dinner.. Hour later went out again for another little drive to charge battery. As I got to end of street and turned indicator on working fine..Infact everything working fine ..So took some more pics after getting back.. Side Lights Headlights on Tried taking pics of alloys but i will take more at work tomorrow

  37. Hmmm, well disappointed with the outcome, due to doing it in a narrow garage I didn't get the coverage I thought I had on the sides... More so on the right where I can see yellow primer showing through slightly !! From a few foot away though, on the whole it looks better than when it was damaged!!! Some shots of it on...

  38. I'm led to believe that filler primer has a bit more substance to it, so it fills tiny pin hole imperfections better than a normal primer so I usually use a mixture of primers! More progress!

  39. Cheap and cheerful, see how they look! They look decent on Maz's so thougt give em a bash... At £9 can't go wrong! Lol Also progress so far.... Prepped and positioned to spray... And first light primer coat down!

  41. Soooo its been a while since i've posted an update, snow is almost all gone now, getting on with the car quite well, finding it very enjoyable boosting around, love the sound!! My 3" system was delivered! went to get it fitten on saturday.. aaaand couldnt. due to my vast inexperience in cars, didnt have any bolts gaskets and was a clamp short... fail. so the garage have got the bits on order for me and hopefully have it fitted mid this week Picked this up this week too! Not a super expensive one, Sony XAV-65, was about 180quid, but it does everything i'd want it to do. still need to sort out the parking break cable so i can view videos on it, but finally am rid of that vile grey 10 disk changer and have USB back also, from china my signature tow hook toy; Planning to clear the garage out next weekend to make space for more stock items (like my rear seats ) ,
