  1. Yeah, glad she's not a daily now or I'd be going daft trying to get her fixed! lol Upgrade might be a good idea, was thinking EBC discs and pads, caliper wise probably new from Honda, or might go for an upgrade. Have to watch though, as most involve going up a wheel size. Mind you, a nice set of 16 inch chronos would be nice, just hard to find em! Not keen on the brand new chronos though, as speedline changed the style of them slightly, added wee bits to them and I think it's spoiled the clean look of them. Then again could always go for Rota grids!
  2. Yeah, she felt really good up until that point. Might just get new calipers anyway, can always keep the old ones and refurb them. Rears seemed fine, but she gets left in the garage with the handbrake off (same with Dawns deck) cos the rears deffo can be a nightmare!
  3. Well, saw the sun shining today (even though it was cold!) so thought I'd get Ruby out for a spin. Went down the Scottish borders, as the A68 is a cracking road. Unfortunately, about 20mins into journey the blooming rain came back in anger, bloody pouring down! But hey ho, kept going thinking it might brighten up again when I get further down. Wrong! Then got to Lauder, and noticed that Ruby wasnt running right! Engine was fine, but really bad vibration appeared through the steering wheel. Thought it was a flat at first as she was pulling slightly to the left. Stopped to check, tyres ok, so thought brakes or wheel bearing. Gave the wheels a good push/pull, bearings seemed fine (although would ideally need her off the ground to check properly) so got back on the road. Everything seemed fine again! Got another few miles and same again, only noticed this time that under acceleration she pulled slightly left, back off and she went straight again. Vibration was really bad, so pulled over and noticed the smell of either burnt brakes or clutch. So turned round and headed home (was around 40 miles away at this point) again. All way up the A68, she drove fine. I was like wtf??? Then went to turn off onto the B roads to get home and noticed that the vibration came back! Thought, hmmmm, was alright all the way up that road, but now this? Then realised I hadnt used the brakes all the way up, until I stopped to turn onto the B road. She vibrated for around 3 miles, then it was gone again. By the time I got to my town, it was back, and even though I was only doing 30mph, the brake fade was immense!! Brakes felt totally shit! So shes back in the garage, lot of heat and smoke emitting from front passenger side brakes For some reason it's been binding, so will need to get the front brakes appart to have a look. I got the discs machined last year, so think it might be time to replace them and the pads, especially after the binding issue. Reckon the disc was warping under the extreme heat, which gave me the vibration through the wheel. The drivers side wasn't so hot, but will do the whole lot/renew it all to make sure. And on top of that, cant put her cover back on cos shes manky!!! Will need to get her washed and dried again! Flippin cars!

  5. Those centre console screws are a right pain mate. When you refit the console, get a hold of some 10mm bolts (same as the ones that hold front wings on) as they are a much better alternative. Oh, and put plenty of copper grease on the threads before bolting them in. You'll get there mate, just time consuming jobs.
  6. Deffo go for a deck mate, they cover all the bases. Fast, fun and ultra practical you'll have the best of all worlds. EP3 wise, the EP3 has more power, but doesn't seem to be that much faster than an MB6/MC2 that has a few breathing mods. I had an EP3 in my Ruby, all she has is cat back stainless exhaust and induction kit. Every roundabout I was leaving the EP3 behind as I could get the power down quicker with the LSD, and even on the twisties, he was no faster than me. And that was on standard suspension! She's now got a full set of MeisterR's all round and is set up perfect! Be even more interesting now! Get a deck, you won't be disappointed!
  7. What an Immense deck! Really stunning mate, love the mods youve done to her! That top boot spoiler lip is the dogs danglies!!!

  9. Either that or it's her "time of the month"!!!!!!! Insert tampon here! lmao Glad you finally got her mate, well worth it eh! And at least she'd in good hands now!
  10. Haha! 2 poster ramp I wish!!!! Would be cool though (wee cogs in brain now activated, everyone be scared!!)
  11. True, too many cars already! Can't wait to see this Dave, my camera is gonna be going full pelt!
  12. Bloody hell! This is going to be a cracker!!!! Well done guys, really superb to see our final cotm for 2013 going out in style!!! Well done Dave for getting the voting sorted out mate, saved me a hella job! lol Now,, who the hell do I vote for???????? lol
  13. omg!!! What a sound!! She sounds amazing mate, like an animal!!! It's official................I love Trinity D!!! I'd love to buy another M, maybe a deck, and do something similar!
  14. There was a Civic mb on here with the rover wheel fitted to it, but not sure what mods he did if any to get it on there. The climate control will be a different ball game though, a lot of wiring will be involved mate. ou will also need the heater from the rover too, as its controls will be electric to go with the control panel whereas ours are all manual with cables
  15. Dave where the hell did you find a brand new tank for a civic m!!!!??????????? Get it all painted before installing it mate, to protect it. What a machine!!!!!!
  16. There has to be an underlying issue somewhere on it mate. I know that once I got winter tyres on Ruby, and alignment done she was ok on the snow. Not brilliant, but ok. I didn't have any hills to negotiate though, well, nothing big anyway. You say the alignment was done (DC2)? I'm not sure the Integra has the same alignment as the Civic M's, might be an idea to contact a Honda dealership to confirm this.
  17. lmao I know! It was pissing me off big time thinking "hmm, wonder what the techy is doing in there! Good job the ACP doesnt have a door knocker, I'd have been chapping at the door all night shouting oi! LET ME IN! Update all done and dusted now, and new car of the month on the forum home page! Well done James! Deffo a worthy winner!!!
  18. That looks sweet mate! Love the metalflake on rear trim! Whats the adhesion like on the actual parts done? Will it stand up to the test of time you think? Could have a million and one uses for this stuff if it sticks to parts good! And glad to see this wee M staying with you, she's a wee cracker. Funny it always reminds me of DAVEMB2's one, even though both are styled differently. Your original reg is close to daves too!!! lol
  19. I'll get the new photo added to the forum main page once this updates been done. Don't have access to the admin panel at the moment until it's been done
  20. Yaaaaas! Result! She looks a beaut mate! You lucky boy!!!! now don't go selling this one!!!!! lol
  21. Yeah have to agree mate, go for it. I wanted an ep2 ages ago, and came close to buying one. But I found the 3 door was just not practicle, and it seemed to lack power for the size of the car. I also noticed they seem to suffer rust quite badly on the front chassis legs, almost every one I looked at had bad corrosion on the n/s chassis rail, even on a 55 plate. Not sure if it's common problem, or just the ones I looked at. The MA/MB/MC Civics, although older, seem to be less rust prone, apart from the rear arches. If it's space you need, you'll love the deck! Plenty room in them, and depending on model, decent spec list too. Plus they can be modded to look amazing, as you've seen on here. Dawns deck is only a D16 non-vtec, and it still has enough power to make you smile. It won't set the tarmac alight, but it's no slouch either! Another bonus is, the Aerodecks are actually slightly better built than the Hatchbacks, as Honda were aiming at the BMW tourer market when they brought out the decks. Get one, you won't be disappointed!
  22. Unfortunately the civic M's are pretty poor on snow, although the D series engine models do perform better in the snow that the B series engine models. I found that out a couple of years ago when we got really bad winter in Scotland, Works car park, my transit connect van.........fine...........works corsa...........fine...........Ruby........got bloody stuck! No matter what, on normal tyres, it was undriveable. The problem with the Civic M's is that they suffer from really bad understeer in standard form in the wet, so show them snow and it's a no go! But, there is light at the end of the tunnel! I changed rubys tyres to proper winter tyres, and the difference was huge. I can't remember the name of the tyres but will have a look in the garage for you. I think I also changed the profile for a higher one, but will check to make sure. Your deck should be fine on winter tyres, so it may be a problem with the manufacturer of the tyre. Another thing, get your front wheel alignement checked. This makes a huge difference, and if it is out, then no matter what tyre you get on it, it wont steer/move properly at all. So get her booked in to get the tracking done asap. I'll get back to you on the size/make I got for Ruby, see if that helps.
  23. I'd go for the Jazz mate, excellent wee cars! Dawn was actually thinking of buying one last year to use as a daily, and keep the miles off her deck. Even had a test drive booked but sadly she never got to do it due to passing away. I've seen a few modded Jazz's in the metal, and believe me they look the nuts. There's a jordan yellow one going around here..........full mugen kit, Tinted windows, slammed, and think it was racing hearts on it or something similar. It looks immense! If you don't mind an import, they did a Fit Sport in Japan that was 1.5 supercharged! Also seen the K20's Jazz, which also ran a supercharger iirc. Built by Gerry at Performance tec, same guy that built Daves K'd MB2. It was featured in Total Honda mag, and was stunning too! But engine conversions aside, if you're looking for the economy and practicality, you won't go far wrong with a Jazz........and they deffo can look hard as nails modded! Do it!!
  24. Came in @ £500 for the two delivered mate
