Wow that is really cool!! Great idea. It would end up costing me a fortune tho if you look at prices per hour. I'm a very slow worker. Not familiar with stuff I figure it out as I go along. And triple check everything!!! Apart from my oil cap that one time haha!

I've seen an mb dash in an eg fitted but left a gap under windscreen. So sure it would possible to put a dc2 dash in mb. But would be a lot of trial and error involved. Then you door cards won't sit in nicely etc.

Well I could just trying to curb my outgoings. Wife not working much now. And I want to save and buy another daily as the civic bit tired. They don't make them like they used too!!!

Yeah like what was mention in your build thread. The rears are physically shorter and with the extra weight gonna be low. Like with eg shocks on my old mb6. Fronts were as low as could go whilst rears were wound up like 3/4. Yet car sat level. Still seemed to perform fine tho. Drove well with no crashing bouncing or any other perturbances!!!

There some vids floating about somewhere. Might have to ask nicely and borrow a go pro tho! Need to start looking at what I'm doing with engine. I got another set of cams to go In. But I should really replace valve springs with doubles. Just im a little dubious about removing the head out in the open as I now have no garage to store car in. Can't justify the labour costs for someone else to do it. So deciding whether or not to risk it for a biscuit and just bang the cams in as is. And keep the Rev limit sensible.

Eg is alive!! Drove it back home tonight. So happy. Reignited my love for the car big time!!! Gave my mate a pasting in his forester 2.5 XT. Which was nice. Right Saturday new toad 606 alarm being fitted and hks turbo timer also. Also need to get on the guy who painted car. I have noticed now it's turned cold the paint on tailgate has blistered a little. Not a lot but enough to get on my nerves after what I paid 6 months ago. Anyway happy days. Will chuffed

Well don't do it on my recommendation. Haha. You would obviously need to look at current draw on the cut out etc. Probably an idea to talk to an auto electrician what would be involved.

Defo a bit optimistic if it's that noisy! Bearings probably come apart. I seen it with my own eyes box still working but input bearing in bits. Makes very noisy. Keep an eye on civic life and eBay. Gearbox buying can be risky unless you get a chance to try it Or yeah 10000rpm.

made a hurrendous squeal when dizzy went for me. Car died whilst giving it beans. Stopped. Tried to start again and it made horrible squeeling noise

Should be fine. There's quite a bit of room. I got 2.5" and it doesn't even sweep up like standard. Still clears it no problem.

Nice mopping up a load of little jobs. Rear wiper baffled me a bit I remember. But the bottom lifts up on a hinge type o thing to expose a stealthy ninja nut underneath. Makes sense then.

That would be doable with a chipped ecu. You can have a positive iab signal off pin a19 at the ecu instead of a negative that we have standard at pin a17. Bit of fancy wiring. Sorted

Unlikely engine mount. I've experienced some insane engine movement in a civic and still no knocking. Just chucks you about on gear changes. Still the more info the better. Very hard to diagnose noises without hearing it yourself. Still hard even then sometimes. A worn cv joint could knock as you describe. As above is the there any noise on full lock?? Failing that I think your going to need to get the car off the ground and start swinging off stuff see if there's any obvious movement in bushes. Ball joints and drive shafts. Or possibly something that has come astray. Exhaust, arb link etc.

Noise from where.?? Can you hear where roughly it from? Must admit doesn't sound like shock. Definitely not because there from an ek. That will make no difference.

Sorry I misread. Yes the immobiliser stops the starter. So not that.Hope it behaves for you now
