It is really. It's the original optional Honda system that would have been installed at the dealer. First thing bloke said was don't worry I'll be in and out in no time. These are easy! Famous last words I tjink

Hmm locksmith has given up after hours trying to bypass my immobiliser. Apparently whoever fitted it did a top notch job. Including fake splices under column to fool a would be thief into thinking they had found the immobiliser circuit. So he's gonna be back to figure it tomorrow. Fingers crossed

Defo. The saying goes something is worth what someone's willing to pay. Unfortunately market value wise these aren't worth a lot. Bare in mind my 2003 civic was only a grand. My vti was 1850 5 years ago.

The dc2 cat has a larger collector. Not sure about length but the collector flange is also at a different angle to mb6

And I do understand the kicking the wing mate. Your not on your own, but I also know now you'll regret it 5 mins later. I used to have a bag full of ps2s in bits. Daaaahhhhhh I can't do this special move on Tony hawks 3.... smash wallop crash. 5 mins later have a cry about it and have to buy another. -

Nice one man all up and running. Sure it'll be sweet when bled properly. Sounds like ps pump got air in as well it should come out. Keep turning lock to lock with cap off. -

Drive it down woop woop. Tax it tonight and Wednesday the mobile engineer will get so I can start it with key. Apparently they can mould a key from the barrel. So no new ignition or locks! Just no alarm and note central locking etc. Then I have to drive it to there showroom and they will remove the old install the new. PITA!! but bright side it should be a lot more secure.

Sounds about right for the key. Not as bad as youd think hey. Wish they could replace my little oldschool immobiliser dongle that would be a bonus. Not gonna happen tho apparently

Guys coming Wednesday to disable the immobiliser and mould a new key. That's costing 180. Then he says there alarm and immobiliser system is gonna cost minimum 200 fitted not sure what model that is. But I will happily pay a little extra a toad then if there the dogs danglies! Gotta tax car too to get it down there. Bad time of year for this outlay. This could have got my turbo on and tuned!!! Or part of a holiday. OH well

Hmm kinda like they looked at a prius and went that sells well let's steal a few and stick our badge on it no one will notice. But I can see the bonus's of a car like that. Wouldn't like to have to maintain it when things start wearing out tho. Again hm tho whatever floats your boat?

Can anyone recommend me a decent alrm/immobiliser?? I don't want to spend too much but could do with it fitted really for ease. Remote start would be nice but think that is gonna out my price range at the minute
