  4. So really you needn't do anything. Plug P28 in. Iabs will be disabled
  5. You can add iabs control to a P28. But doesn't work as is. The iabs will remain open all the time with a P28. If you wanted to double disable them. You pull the vac line off the diaphragm on right side of intake mani and bung it.

  8. Was gonna say the same thing. Check ignition timing and again ecu reset. Let it recalibrate.
  9. Concurring start with a reset. Air con in these does seem to apply quite a load.

    P28 ECU

    I'll be honest with you dude. If money's a lil tight and your not planning a huge build. It's a lot of Dow to throw at an ecu. A standard P28 socketed will give you more than enough scope to tune a n/a car or even a smaller budget boost car. Chrome is surprisingly good. A socketed P28 probably cost around 130 quid from htune
  14. Some indication of where the sound is coming from specifically would also help. You know like is it rear of engine. Or left or right side? Low down or high up in the head?

    Well long as it's functioning correctly you'll be all good. Real top of the range bit of kit. P28 won't be able to control your iabs as it is. But not the end of the world and can add components to operate iabs if needed. Pwm or pulse width modulation opponents are there for accurate electronic boost control. So its all ready for turbo time.

  17. @fyfie5 thought about it. Bit messy on an eg though. Two bungs in the glass and the tailgate latch is part of the motor unit. So kinda just held off. I don't mind anyway. Kinda like it on

  20. Thought Dc2 rack is quicker I'm sure. Only from research ages ago. Not from experience. So you may be right.
