Should really maintain it's temp around or just under halfway whatever the ambient temperature. are you sure all the cooling system is serviced and working correctly. Ie thermostat is in good shape. Water pump in good shape? Fan works as it should. Do you suspect you are losing coolant??? I would fill the expansion to the recommended mark and then monitor it see if you losing coolant. then go from there. Check for leaks if you are losing it. Water pump can be a culprit on b series. Not so sure about d tho. but on b the water pump is covered by plastic cowling and often leaks un noticed. otherwise there may be more serious concerns. But first things first.

Oh dear that's pretty knarly! Do you think the catch can is fairly air tight? I would like an air tight can for the pcv system. To maintain vacuum. -

Non update as such other than I'm just super pumped. Done a 200 mile journey tonight for a friend to check out a subaru. didt skip a beat. I was having some serious hunting idle issues the other day which is fixed now. Adjust the throttle and cable as wasn't closing full on idle. now its perfect. moving front shocks onto that second notch has improved handling no end and also the ride is firm yet very tolerable. Much better. But really the thing I'm so happy about is the exedy clutch is a joy. So smooth light and easy. So much better than the f1 stage 3. And me gearbox is an absolute peach! Can't believe it works so well. Quiet and every gear on the limit. No snagging, crunching or blocking me out of gears. Just perfect! So happy I'm really enjoying driving it. Stopped in services and came out looked at it was just so happy. Love this car.

You must be so proud mate. It's stunning

For an accurate run. You choose a gear that has a ratio closest to 1:1 In an ep3 that is actually 5th. So dunno about people using 4th. Whatever rho don't matter does it. Still healthy power in my opinion especially if ya got a cone filter in there. They usually zap a bit of power o these from what I've been told.
-
5th gear looks spot on in an ep3 0.972:1 Perfect gear for dyno run

@Chandler dunno Probs more like Dwayne Pipe.. maybe hes a plumber cus he's definitely not a body work technician. Rough b*****d.

Sounds like a plan. Worth hanging on to and getting how you want. It's clearly healthy 196hp spot on!

Thanks guys.. yeah I love this car too. Should never have sold it was a right waste of time and money. Gained nothing by selling it although I meant well at the time. It's got a few minor cosmetic issues at the minute. I'm contemplating all sorts of things.. One of which being saving up to have another respray in the same colour maybe next summer. This time no expense spared with a decent body shop. last guy was a cowboy and it shows. I mean it looks awesome still from few feet away but still lots of room for improvement.

back at home where she belongs

Mot no advisories. Only thing he said was need to secure my battery I have the bits just forgot. So had about a 20 mile run today in total. Gearbox is spot on no crunches even on the limit. So yeah I'm chuffed
