  1. mine's always done that... Been told its the o2 sensor, but it doesn't bother me enough yet to spend the cash. also does it when there's been loads of standing water.
  2. cool - looks much better with the new wheels.... and gotta mention the noise.. mmm
  3. stickers look top notch Jake
  4. I know their transmission stuff is well rated... Hope it applies to their other kit is too.
  5. nice one on the wheel mate - bet it doesn't feel like driving a bus anymore so will you just be doing 6 months tax and SORN?
  6. wow - cheers bud. yup, and I need to take the centre console out again because the light for the temp control has gone out.
  7. or this.... http://www2.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201307047638436/sort/default/usedcars/transmission/manual/model/civic/make/honda/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/keywords/lsi/postcode/dh98re/page/1/radius/1500?logcode=p 24,000 miles....
  8. seems like it's just there as a silencer.... i remember when I first chopped it, there was a difference in the sound, but haven't noticed the difference this time over the sound of the sports cat!
  9. these are quite interesting and quite a good deal atm (probably because of fuel costs): Accord type S tourer....
  10. I was behind an EP3 the other day, and was thinking how it could easilly be the back of an estate car (and a tasty one at that)... now that would have been an interesting civic estate. Photoshop mockup anyone?
  11. Also, been thinking about doing this for a few days.... trimmed a bit more off the white tube from the bottom part of the air box, and removed the black one from the top... hoping to get a bit better airflow because of it
  12. well, after coming up to the 4th ball joint replacement, I thought that it was worthwhile trying the Buddy Club extended ones to see if they last any longer, and was getting ready to order some, and noticed that Tegiwa was selling some on an auction on teabay. Ended up winning them for a decent price, and got them today... but when I opened the package they didn't look like I was expecting.. no buddy club logos, and black rubber instead of blue! I was thinking wtf... and started looking around on google images for extended ball joints. Turns out that they're M Factory ones!! nearly twice the price of the Buddy Club ones, and maintainable as well (though I'm not sure what can be done... geasing maybe?) I'm happy with getting the MFactory ones, but why advertise them as Buddy Club? Maybe more well known. anyway, these are the babies here:
  13. quite like the interior, and boot space, but the external styling's a bit dull. a type s version might be interesting (can't see them doing a type r)
  14. just reinsurred tubbs today with Adrian flux again, and they beat admirals quote - I'm paying £250... £210 cheaper than my renewal big respect to the flux
  15. I've had Dare Drifts on mine for at least 80k and have had plenty of heavy camping / holiday loads (as Tom's minus bikes on roof) blatting around europe & over fun and bumpy roads in the lakes without any issues (so far)
  16. looking sweet Dave... it's amazing how much difference adjustable shocks makes.... and how poo the standard ones are!
  17. I'm paranoid about fire after what happended to James that time. tbh I'd left the fans on 4 the night before when they stopped, but thought that the resistor had gone.
  18. So for the last month or two, my blower motor (number 2.....) has been squealing every now and again as if the bearing has been on it's way. last couple of weeks speeds 1&2 have been off (new resistor pack... again...), and then last night all speeds have been off. I just thought that this was the first time that even number 4 resistor had gone, but just thought nowt else and ordered a new pack. This morning I got to the top of the street, and smelled something odd... which got stronger and stronger. I looked down at the passenger footwell and there was fricking smoke coming out from under the glovebox! slammed on the brakes, cut the engine, and whipped the sound proofing off - phew, no fire yet. drove back home and pulled the motor out, and it was pretty much siezed and stunk of burning. I was lucky that i'd just left the house and was able to stop quickly and without causing any bother to anyone (and smelled the smoke quickly coz the windows were up and was going slowly). if anyone has a fan making noises - GET IT OUT.
  19. so you'd recommend the p72 by the sounds of it then - nice one
  20. I hate getting the Centre console out... it's a pig of a job. I've got a bulb out on one of the buttons, but I'm trying to ignore it at the mo...
