  1. gear ratios from the team m factory gear calculator... left are standard taken from the cars.homenetcs site, and right are what I've got. and the graphs showing the ratios... red lines are s9b and blue is mine. according to this, at 110, the change from 4th to 5th would be a drop from 8300rpm to around 5300rpm.
  2. looking lush up there Dave... tasty pics to
  3. looking super clean matey. she's properly tidy
  4. dude, where'd you get that O2 sensor from... that'sa steal
  5. out of iabs, but still in vtec.. will double check on the m factory gear calculator...
  6. great work, Hope you can sort the problem with the plastic and the heat..
  7. so first real long run since getting the gearbox work done yesterday (trip down to Leeds with work) and think that I might have noticed a theoretical problem with the ratios.... I imagine that if (for example) you were to take it to high revs in 4 th, then there would probably be quite a drop in revs when you change up into 5 th.... especially if it were to happen on a hill and you had a lighter flywheel... it would probably still pull alright, but there would probably be a surprising drop in revs that doesn't happen anywhere else through the gears... probably.
  8. yup... 6.5 years with tubbs and still can't see what else I would want (realistically)
  9. mate, you've put so much into this car. can't argue with the need for space though... so what's next? a deck
  10. the nuts on these wheels need a little tool thing, so they're pretty safe, and myoem wheels are starting to look well past it, so they should be safe (fingers crossed...)
  11. aye, the keis for my normal wheels are the same. was quite funny when I got to my mates garage, I went to show him what was up, and the nut just undid by hand... must have loosened it when I thought it was starting to shear anyway, got them all on now
  12. cool bananas man... should be sweet
  13. yup... they sure are... it won't be going back on next winter that's for sure... does anyone even steal wheels anymore?
  14. 3 down, one to go... but my locking nut with only half a shaft is welded on and the key feels like it's gonna slip/shear when I try and put some pressure on. waiting to go and see my mate... think it needs a gun on it so it can be pushed onto the wheel instead of twisting with the brace
