  1. shy bairnes get nee cake as they say around these parts aye, that's the fella. let me know when you're sorted with it coz I'm deffo in the market for one
  2. good bit of progress bud - don't suppose that you've now got a fuel feed line going spare after changing the tank? if the tank's in good nick (and you don't want to keep it) might be worthwhile seeing if anyone wants to buy - new ones are pretty hard to come by (I had to get one from a scrappy)
  3. looking good dave odd for the lack of whoring for a photo guy like yourself did you drop a hint about trin D in a thread a while back?....
  4. none too shabby bud be well chuffed with that ey?
  5. re the supersprint, another reason for staying clear is that they're not stainless... my mid pipe rotted after just under two years (swapped under warrantee, but still not great).
  6. it is nice to open the chimney when (if) the weather's nice though

    axel stands

always use axel stands... not worth the risk 1"£££$££"!!
  8. just read through your project bud (I'd only seen the first page somehow looks really smart - some nice mods
  9. cheers, aye, h-brsce is on the menu next I reckon, but after a head gasket change... still slightly oozing oil and it plays on my mind should be okay with the dc2 4-2-1 mani (hopefully)
  10. oddly think it's made it turn in better?? but also stiffened rear shocks a bit recently so that might have helped with that. put it this way, i chucked it around a 90 deg turn (1st exit off a roundabout) and it went round like it was on rails... couldn't beieve it also not sure how much difference not having boot liners and floor etc is making
  11. nice brace fella can't decide between new front strut brace or h-brace next... 2013... the year of the brace
  12. you're probs right about it making more difference to the deck because of there being a big empty space around the struts (when it's not full of gear anyway ). maybe it's because I've got the eibach springs why i feel so much difference, with them being pretty stiff, it seems natural that if the shocks / springs don't absorb (probably not the right word) the forces, then it'll transfer to the chassis and try and twist that ? can't wait to try it with the 17s on again when the weather warms up a bit
  13. I must admit, I did have to change my damper settings after fitting the arb
  14. dude, they're gonna look mint
  15. the arb does make a difference on the decks coz they don't have one as standard, but the strut brace seems to have more effect... i don't think that one without the other would have anywhere near as much impact
  16. aye, once you've stripped the interior panels (had mine out coz of mysterious boot leak) it's only 4 bolts to undo, slightly bend bar into place (seems a couple of degrees out), then tighten same bolts, and nip up the adjuster bolt on the bar. tis mint
  17. well, after a week of driving without snow, I'm massively impressed by the rear strut brace - it just tracks round corners so much better maybe made even more difference than the mg anti roll bar?
  18. she's coming on at a pace now fella - top work
