  1. i see that wax quite a bit how do you find the das 6 is it easy to get used to machine polishing
  2. i haveint watched it yet saving it foe later iv bean reading a load on polishing/detailing and as far as i read is its just time consuming even with a machine poliher less is more theres so much to get 1 car shampoo 2 clay bar 3 polish set ( midium, fine, finishing ) 4 wax 5 quick detailer 6 machine polisher ( optional )
  3. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog ... cat10.html this is the da im getting i think Meguiars Deep Crystal System As far as I'm concerned, the three products in the Meguiars Deep Crystal system are an ideal starting point if your serious about getting into car detailing, not only will tehy leave your car with a really nice look but they go through the three important stages of paint detailing, and is how I learned the different requirements paint has. All products are eacy to use, and quick to use... Preparation The Deep Crystal system is not a complete paint detailing system in so far as there are a couple of preparation things that need to be done before starting in order to get the ultimate appearance from these products. First up, the paint must be clean! Wash with a good quality car shampoo (Meguiars Gold Class is very good), rinse and thoroughly dry the car. Next up, the car should be clayed. Run the palm of your hand gently across the paint - does it feel rough? Your feeling contaminants stuck in the paint that the washing process has not removed. These can be removed with clay, I use the Meguiars QuikClay Detaling system. Lubricate the paint with the QD spray provided, and sweep the clay in a back and forth motion across the paint with only finger light pressure. You will feel the clay sticking, dragging to start with then it will sweep cleanly and easily across the surface. When it sweeps easily, that area is completed. Keep the paint lubricated at all times. Once complete, buff away the lubricant with a microfibre towel or terry cloth towel (former recommened). Now run you hand across the paint - it should feel smooth and glassy. All products will now apply and remove with greater ease and with better results... Step 1 - Paint Cleaner The product is designed to remove oxidisation marks, and hide spider web scratches (have a look at your paint under the halogen lights of a fuel station, is it like a spider's web has been draped across your paint?). It will also remove the build-up of old wax products, and leave your paint fresh and squeaky clean. Apply using a Meguiars sponge applicator. Squeeze a small amount of product (about the size of a pound coin) onto the applicator then apply to paint using medium pressure... Work on a small area at a time, abut half a bonnet... Work it into the paint, apply in straight lines and vary the direction of the application or circular application. Take your time, patience is the key here, and work it into your paint. Once complete, remove immediately with a clean microfibre towel, wipe off the product using medium pressure. Never let this prodcut dry on the paint. Step 2 - Polish My favourite stage. A polish contains rich oils that will wet your paint and give you a deep, wet look shine and clear and deep reflections. Apply in the same way as Step 1, using light to medium pressure, work the product into the paint and remove with a microfibre towel using medium pressure. Don't let the product dry on the paint, so only work on a small area at a time, as with setp 1. Again, patience is the key, don't rush this stage, as the polish is what gives you the deep wet shine. Ultimate shine is >90% preparation, Step 3 - Carnauba Wax On its own, polishing oil is water soluble and so the shine will be gone after the first rain shower! You need to protect the shine with something, and this is where the carnauba wax comes in. Apply using a sponge applicator. Apply to the whole car at once and allow it to dry (cure). Apply using light pressure in straight lines or circles, ensuring even coverage. Ensure you only apply a small amount to the applicator at a time, so that you can apply the wax in a nice thin layer - if its too thick, it will be difficult to remove and you'll be wasting wax as you be wipng most of it away. To test its cured, perform a swipe test - swipe you finger gently across a small bit of paint, if the wax comes off cleanly, its ready for removal. Buff off using a microfibre towel, vary the direction of the removal and apply medium light to medium pressure. Turn towel often. Have a second, clean microfibre towel for the final wipe, and use it to buff to a deep wet look shine... copyed from detailing world.... i havent seen polish bliss before, when i look at these sites i get all fuzzy and confused theres just too much to choose from and im left , before i go on one of the sites/shops i know what i want but after i dont....... anyway how is that megs nxt gen shampoo im thinking of getting it soon and whats the water to shampoo ratio like, much suds/lubrication ?

  5. ware the mounts hard to do, i hear people saying its a tough job the torque mount and why dc2 ??? ha ha ha ha so many questions, why bother ?

  12. try useing nail polih remover polishing off the chrome is nicer than painting it deeper glose i would think jesus your car is like new

  15. hhmmm try an allen kyt and spanner look at the end of the bolt (face in you) coming off the link it maight a allen key head on it or a small vices grips on behind the bar attached to the link and use a ratchet or use a bar to wedge the bar at the back to stop it spining and a ratchet on the front to loosen two people is better with this one if not new hax saw blades or a electric cutter of some sort
  16. i do not a fully finished tip but a tip none the same put a jack under the wish bone on the front and jack it up untel you find the sweet spot where the are is slack then it is easyer
